Hotel was clean & comfortable. Perfect for our long weekend getaway. The free breakfast was delicious & filling, so much so that we didn't eat again until dinner. Free Internet was included & the rooftop hot tub at the sister hotel Acadia was a perfect ending to a long day of sightseeing.

Very inconvenient with no elevators. Did not expect the hotel to be so old. The rooms were so tiny we did not have space to open our luggage. The rooms were clean and the updated bathrooms were very functional. The location was perfect after we reach the hotel. We stayed for only one night because we were boarding our cruise ship. This room was amazing and right in the old city. Elaborate and old fashioned crown molding, a fireplace, hardwood floors, and the most comfortable bed. This hotel was the best deal of our honeymoon! The hotel was clean & right in the heart of Old Quebec. The room looked like it had been recently updated. The only drawback was that it was very small, but we live in Boston so we felt right at home. We would definitely book again!

The location cannot be beat, just inside the old city walls, and only 5-10 minutes walk from the lower city and the shopping/restaurant districts. It is an older building that has been remodeled as a hotel, and our room was obviously part of a large ballroom, with walls added for bathrooms, etc. Valet parking was available for a reasonable fee, there […] was a rooftop spa that we could access just across the street, and a solid breakfast was included at a restaurant just around the corner. Our children particularly like the crepes, which had a unique orange-maple cream sauce. Our double room was small but we live in NYC so we didn’t feel cramped. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The roof of the Chateau Frontenac was visible from our window. The location in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of the newer sections is perfect for tourists. We were very happy here, and I doubt you could […] do much better for the price. Two cautions: (1) you need to check-in at another hotel across the street and a few doors down, as they will tell you when you ring the bell; and (2) avoid the hotel’s breakfast at a neighboring restaurant--it costs $10 Canadian and consists of powdered eggs and such. There is an excellent brunch spot just down the street from the hotel where you can eat well for not much more--it's on the left side as you walk down Rue St Ursule. Read more

Room was fairly large and interesting, not a typical hotel room. It had two windows and a little balcony (which had a lot of snow on it so we didn't go out there). Bed was comfortable.

My only complaint is that there is little sound insulation in the walls, and so the noise of guests trudging up the stairs at night can be quite loud. My brother and I spent 3 nights here for Carnaval. The front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. This hotel is at a great location just inside Old Quebec and also near the festivities on the Plains. The included buffet breakfast was at Feu Sacre, less than a 1-minute walk . I'd say this is an excellent bang for your buck.

Small but quaint hotel within the old city so only a short walk to everything. No elevator in old building so bringing up luggage to 3rd floor is a challenge. Staff was very helpful and the included breakfasts were very good. Overall value is great.

When I booked this hotel, it was the cheapest one in the old city. The room was very nice with exposed stone an a historic appearance, and clean. It was a little small but I don't go on vacation to stay in my room. The washroom is small too, but again, unless you have dysentery you're probably not spending a lot of time in there. enjoyed our 2 night stay very much as location was excellent to old town. however it should be advertised that the reception and check in is across the road in different hotel and if you choose breakfast you have to walk even further down the road to a different hotel. we didnt choose breakfast so this was not an issue for us however. rooms are not […] massive, quite tight but are really nicely finished and were perfect for us. ceiling paint in bathroom bit chipped and should really be fixed but gorgeous shower and really comfy beds. i wold highly recommend this hotel as from our search it was by far the best value in the old town and you can walk everywhere so easily from it. staff were nice too. quebec is so expensive that this was a great deal. good value for definite. building looks nice from the outside too and you are really in the heart of the old town. Room was small but adequate but I did not feel doors were secure and did not like being on ground floor next to a lane used by lots of passers by. This was a great place for our two night stay in old Quebec. The room was well serviced and the treatment we received from the desk staff at the Hotel Acadia, which is where one checks in, was excellent. We would definitely recommend this as a great central location with small hotel charm and atmosphere, for a good value rate.
