We loved our stay at Costa DOr. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We wanted a beautiful, romantic setting, and that is exactly what we got. It is very quiet and a wonderful place to unwind. The food is excellent and the staff are all very nice. It is a hike to the beach, so you need to be a little adventerous, but once you get there you will love it. We will definitely return.

It is a very relaxing place, especially good if you know French, because all the entertainment in the evening is in French. It a great with children, they have children activities there, also in French, but kids learn it fast. The only thing is that if you rent a car, you should print a map off the web before going there, it's not on the local maps and GPS does not recognize it. If you like boardwalks and lots of cafes, it's not for you.

Perfect location - steps away from beach, antique tram, kyak rental, and the promenade. Breakfast was good - lots of fruit, flakey croissants, good coffee. Staff consistently helpful, even without a lot of English. No air conditioning but good ceiling fan in rooms facing the port. Several excellent sunsets. We loved the little colored lights on the badmitton birdie-like toys the young men flew along the port after dark. Very laid back vacation.

I participated in a triathlon race in Mallorca and had a bicycle crash on a rented bike. The staff was incredible! They were helpful working on the phone with various people to get the bike back, and even mailed some of my left behind items to my home in the States. Even before there were any problems with my trip, I was impressed by the competent and thoughtful employees though. They helped me locate things in the local area. They accomodated the racers with a special early breakfast before the race start. They consistently greeted their guests in a friendly manner, and never acted annoyed with continuous questions and requests from guests about the local area.The accomodations are basic and have some age, but clean and well-cared for. It is clearly being run well by excellent people. In a trip that largely did not go the way I hoped, they were a highlight and I hope you can reward them with lots of business.

Generally worthy of its 5 star status it did occasionally however fail to deliver. For our 2nd evening we decided to book our evening meal there for... 7:30. We were seated on time and went through all the usual formalities, but we didn't receive our 1st course until 9:25 and after our 2nd course called it a day, as it was already 10:30, so didn't get a chance to savour the desserts on offer. They were very apologetic after the meal had ended but it was too late, and no recompense was offered as mitigation. Further discussions revealed that it was not uncommon for the meals to be slow but not normally as slow as we had experienced. No wi-fi in bedroom by Mike from Hertfordshire, UK on 09/23/12

From the moment of our late arrival (almost midnight) the hotel and staff proved to be a wonderful experience. I would wholeheartedly reccomend this hotel for any couple looking for a romantic, luxurious, relaxing stay in the beautiful surroundings of North East Mallorca. Rooms - Exellent Food - Excellent Service - Excellent and unobtrusive.
