The Churchill Hotel is nice, but the new addition, where our room was, is too modern. We thought it would be more old-fashioned, because it's an old manor house. But the old part is limited to 8 luxury rooms that are probably lovely, but are above our price range.

Very comfortable hotel, attractive rooms and public spaces, fairly friendly staff and quite conveniently located. When I stayed there in January 2013, the internet connection and outbound phone were down, over 5 days. This was an inconvenience. To the hotel staff credit, they offered to reimburse my booking and assist in finding another hotel. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but would ensure prior knowledge about such amenities.

Situated in Harrogate, The Grafton is close to Turkish Baths and Health Spa, Valley Gardens, and Harlow Carr Gardens. Also nearby are Knaresborough Castle and Pannal Golf Club.

I booked a last minute break to Harrogate and chose the Grafton after reading excellent reviews on trip advisor. I can't fault the Grafton in any way. The hotel was pleasant, well maintained and the decor was very nice. The locality was great for the centre, but lacked an environment to explore, so you had better like shopping. Calling it boutique was a little stretched, it was a very good quality B&B with a great breakfast (lacking the beans for an english breakfast). The shower was big enough for […] a cat, but I'm average sized chaos and the more robust of people, would have struggled to negotiate the hard to reach places. Staying elsewhere the previous night, for 40% of the cost, in a better environment with bar, lift, surrounding and a touch of elegance. made the stay a little disappointing. Best breakfast ever had at a b & b. Very relaxing place to stay although I wouldn't recommend for disabled due to steep staircases and no lift. The double room we stayed in was decorated to a very standard and the lounge was relaxing with plenty to read and a nice to have a nightcap in the bar! The owners were also very hospitable.

Very nice hotel, clean and well maintained, stylish yet not over bearing, polite staff and located in good area just 5 mins walk away from centre, only downside was the size of our bathroom, minor gripe.
