      My husband and I stayed in a preferred room at the Now Sapphire for 10 nights in Feb. and wished we had booked a longer trip. The resort was beautiful, the food was good, and the people were friendly. We had dinner in all the restaurants except the Cibu although breakfast there was god. Our favorite was the Lemongrass both the regular menu and Hibatchi. If you buy a bottle of wine, you can sit at an outside table at the Lemongrass or Paramour. The water landscaping around these restaurants as well as the main resort area is beautiful. . Puerto Morelos is a little remote but with plenty of entertainment if that's what you like. We had an oceanfront room on the first floor with two double beds. We had asked for a king room but none were available for a couple days so the two double beds were put together and that worked out well. We elected to stay where we were since we loved the room location. We enjoyed the bali beds at the adults only pool. Much more comfortable than ones we've tried in the past. We usually like to spend more time at the beach but we had a few windy days and it was a little chilly so we moved to the pool which was more protected from the wind. I would only suggest a couple improvements. Air conditioning in the gym; It was very hot although I was content with the equipment. The other thing that would have been nice is the availability of food at the beach and pool areas so you don't have to go into a restaurant.

      Limited entertainment, incompetent reception staff, some waiting and hospitality staff not very friendly, some rooms are smaller for the same price, hotel is too spread out and many rooms are very far from the ocean

      This is a hotel with a good staff and lots of potential. Beds need an upgrade and rooms smell musty. Otherwise good value and nice breakfast buffet. Nice to have access to adjoining hotel's grounds.

    I am a female and was traveling alone therefore a little nervous when I got to Popol Vuh... didn't know what to expect. The manager, Gama, came out and... immediately introduced me to the other guests. My four nights there were the BEST part of my trip. Gama showed us all around town and always had some tequila on hand. The hotel is right on the beach and the rooms are comfortable and cozy.     PROS: This hostel is located right on the beach, right on the main avenue where all the nightlife is. CONS: The staff of this hotel turned an otherwise lovely place into an uncomfortable experience. The staff constantly camped out in the main courtyard, watching over and intruding on the privacy of the guests. Also, there was about one minute of hot […] water, no WiFi signal in the room, and no TV, as advertised. When this was brought up, the staff did nothing to correct this in a timely manner. Read more

    The hostel is in a great location and Gama the guy that works on reception is very helpful and introduces all the guests to one another. However, the negatives are, the private rooms only have a shared washrooms/toilets which are far from luxury. The towels which are included are full of holes and the place needs a tidy up. For private rooms, breakfast […] is included but its just an egg and bread. I think in all honestly, the owner knows because of the location people will stay here regardless!     Det var mycket trevligt ställe med trevlig personal. Märk väl att om man tycker om 5 stjärniga hotell är detta inte rätt ställe att åka till. Hit bör man åka om man vill vara nära inpå stranden och trivs med att ha det lite halvspartanskt. Jag kommer försöka boka här igen vid nästa resa.

Ja det er et hostel og ikke noget luksus, men hvis man vælger at bo i værelsestypen "loft", så bor man i sin egen lille cabana og hvor er det bare sindsygt hyggeligt. Værelset og faciliteterne var lidt slidte, men hyggen og servicen opvejede det fuldt ud. Man kan ikke ligefrem kalde Playa del Carmen for autentisk mexicansk, men nærmere en turist by, men når man befinder sig på dette hotel glemmer man at man finder sig midt i turist centrum - det er et lille gemmested i al hurlumhejet! Hotellet er rimelig basic, men pænt og rent og personalet […] her er fantastisk. Stranden er bare 20 meter væk og så snart man træder ud af værelset har du sand mellem tæerne.
