"Beautiful hotel room"
I was pleasantly surprised to see how big our hotel room was. Our room had a small entry hall, a large living room which included a safe, large bathroom and a decent sized bedroom. It was beautifully decorated. The location was very convenient. It was located next to the Charles bridge. Able to walk everywhere. I would definitely stay here again. I […] would suggest earplugs since they pick up recycling and trash around the city very early in the morning and it is very loud. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a great stay!"
Price was decent compared to other big chains. I was skeptic about local European hotels. I will admit that the unfavorable reviews worried. First the location. The hotel is <100 yards from the Charles Bridge gate. This was perfect for me as I wanted to explore this side of the city. My first worry came when arriving at hotel desk, in middle of restuarant, […] no one was there. After a couple minutes the receptionist came in and checked me in. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. There are no elevators but she had someone bring up my luggage. My room (#11) overlooked the small restaurant courtyard. You could hear the chatter but surprisingly I didn't notice it after a while and had no trouble sleeping. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern. The room was tidy, linen soft and clean, but overall I think they could have done better with cleaning the room. For example they should have cleaned the floors and sinks better. In fact, hotel management you need to replace the toilet seat in this room. The one complaint I have is that the restaurant did not have space for me to have dinner. I was traveling alone and found it odd that the hotel guest could not even eat in its own restaurant. They advertise the quality of their food but its not good if your own guests cannot confirm it when they want to. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it to friends, and I would personally stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect Hotel in Prague - one suggestion though..."
This hotel is perfect. You won't find a better location or nicer employees. However, I had trouble with the car service they use both upon arrival and upon departure. I would like to suggest that they switch to a more reliable car service. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Prague.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely bed and good location!"
The room was great with a large comfy bed and god shower- only downside is there was no air-con. Ask to be placed on the top floor at the back of the building as this will minimize the noise of the bar downstairs (not that its too bad). Location was brilliant, walked over the Charles bridge everyday. Breakfast was good, you can even have waffles! Staff […] extremely helpful and will book taxis to pick you up/ drop off at the airport at a cheaper price than a taxi. Overall, I would definitely recommend as its a great little place Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing! Perfect in Every Way"
Where to start? Everything was great with this hotel, it checked all the boxes. Location: Perfect, literally steps from the Charles Bridge. Atmosphere:Perfect, there was a busy pub on the ground level of the hotel, great for grabbing a local beer at the end of the day, but rooms were very quiet and soundproofed so we couldn't hear a thing when we wanted […] to call it a night (we stayed on the 3rd floor). Staff: Perfect, I forget her name, but the main lady running the reception was very friendly, very helpful, and went above and beyond making our stay at both at the hotel and city site-seeing enjoyable. She was extremely friendly for a local especially since we found the majority of locals to be, not cold, but always business like and professional. Breakfast: again great, no better way to start a busy day sight seeing than with a large delicious breakfast. The rooms were the biggest we've ever had in Europe. King size bed, with a living area with TV, 2 couches, separate bathroom, and we even had a rooftop balcony. 2 potential downsides: Parking = none so you have to walk about 20-30min away for secure underground parking. Not a good choice for people with difficulty getting around, and 2 we didn't see a tram stop nearby, but since we drove we weren't looking for one at all. You're literally in the centre of the city though so I don't see the need for a tram unless coming/going from airport. We definitely plan on staying here again! "Charm and location"
This is a great hotel with charming rooms. We stayed 3 nights in the "penthouse suite" with exposed wooden beams, comfortable bed, a sitting area with a couch and chairs, big bathroom with a clean bathtub. There is no elevator, but that was not a problem for us. The location is superb right next to Charles Bridge on a cobble stone street within walking […] distance of everything we wanted to see. Actually we didn't take any public transportation or taxis at all during the stay, except to and from the airport, which the hotel arranged for us. The staff in the reception were very helpful, gave us good advice, provided me with a couple of aspirins when I had a headache and asked for directions to a pharmacy, let us stay have a late check out on the last day, so we were able to do more sightseeing and relax a little in the room before heading for the airport. The basement is worth a visit in itself, it's rustic with arches and raw stone walls and it's very popular with local czechs for its beer and traditional czech cuisine, table reservation is necessary. All in all I recommend this place highly!

"Amazing stay in Prague!"
08/25/14 Pizzamannen90 London, United Kingdom
Had a 2 night stay in Prague with my Girlfriend. We picked this hotel due to location and the pictures from the rooms. The room we got was on the top floor. Absolutely beautiful room! Super comfy bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was tasty but simple. Didn't have lunch or dinner at the restaurant due to being full both evenings. Would definitely stay there again when going to Prague, and I would recommend it to all my friends and family!
"Great location, accommodations & service, but if you must have elevator or air, not for you"
08/09/14 AnnFace Chicago, Illinois
Great location just off the main in the Mala Strana, with easy access to Old Town, New Town & the Castle District (right in the middle of all of them). Plus, two blocks to Tram 22 (goes so many places you'll want to go) and two stops on that to the Metro -- really fast and easy -- as well as walking distance to many places. Nice to be so close to Charles Bridge -- 5 minute walk tops -- but off the tacky main drag leading right up to it, as you can go early in the morning and late in the evening to experience its magic, which is impossible during the day when it's mobbed. VERY friendly and efficient hotel management and servers in the brewery/restaurant. Nice mix of international, independent travelers and locals at the bar/restaurant. Best hotel breakfast, beds, and bathroom we had in Europe during 3 weeks. If you need an elevator or must have air conditioning, this place is not for you if visiting in the heart of summer; however, that being said, it was in the mid-80s (F) every day we visited, and we were very comfortable. We kept the windows and curtains drawn during the day while we were out and opened them up at night once the day heat subsided. But know that if you have the windows open all night like we did, you will hear noise echoing up from the street below in front and the beer garden in back if you have a room that opens to both; just distant people noise and occasional vehicles -- No problem for us. If visiting when you would have the windows closed, this is a VERY quiet hotel. When I return to Prague, I will stay here again. I'm generally a wine drinker, but I couldn't get enough of the beer at the on-premise micro-brewery, especially the dark -- highly recommended.
"Good beer and close to everything"
07/29/14 PhillOxford Oxford
We had a large comfortable deluxe room with a large bed and interesting wallpaper, but don't pack too much as you have to carry everything up as there's no lift. The beer was the best we had whilst in Prague (and that's saying something in this city) and the food was local and interesting. Breakfast was good, and great when you get a fresh waffle with cream! There is no parking and it is limited and expensive anywhere close, not a real problem as you won't need a car during your stay but worth planning parking in advance.
"Just a perfect place to stay"
07/15/14 schwaiger-horn Salzburg, Austria
My Prague friend suggested me this hotel, so it was save choice for us. The best of all is the location! It is just 30 meters from Charles Bridge. The room was really big (but we didn’t spend much time inside anyway) and service was friendly. The price is quite high, well everything in Prague is a bit more expensive than we expected (except of beer). The breakfast was almost too simple for the price, but the quality of products was OK. And the most important – the bed. It was just the perfect bed, so because of the bed I give 5 stars!
"Great hotel, great bar/restaurant, fantastic location"

This was our first time in Prague and we are so glad we stayed at Lokal Inn. The location could not have been better. A quite street 30 seconds from Charles bridge in Mala Strana. We were close to everything without all noise. Soo glad we did not stay in old town. Too touristy with the shops and crowds. We could either walk across the bridge or take the tram a couple blocks away to anywhere in Prague. The Mala Strana area was great as well. Our room was on the 3rd floor (32) which meant a lot of steps but worth it. The bed was as good as the posts have mentioned. The best hotel bed I have ever stayed in. The room decor was ok but it was very nice with all the wood beams. The lower level bar was a neat experience. The restaurant had great food although our waiter could have been much nicer. The noise from the restaurant did not bother us at all, which was a minor concern after reading some of the posts. I highly recommend the Lokal Inn and would stay there again!
"The most fabulous accomodation for our girly weekend away!"
06/09/14 Fiona A Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
My friends and I travelled to Prague for a nice long weekend. The hotel arranged a transfer for us at 600kr (about £18.00) which we felt was super cheap! We were greeted at the hotel by a lovely receptionist, who informed us that our room was already ready for us (check-in wasn't till 2pm but we arrived just after noon) She also gave us some fabulous tips re. our stay, things we should see and food that we should try. We were given a family suite and my goodness we were impressed. The rooms were huge and the air con was fabulous! Everything was completely spotless and we really couldn't fault it. Once we had checked in, we decided to go for a walk around the area and to our astonishment, we found that we were only about 100ft from the Charles Bridge! We couldn't believe our luck! During our stay, we ate in the Lokal restaurant. The food was beautiful! It was evident that it was all very much home-cooked! The beer that they brew, on site, was absolutely wonderful! It was so smooth! I'd even go as far as saying it's the best I've ever tasted! We had so much fun! The only thing I will say is that if you have children who don't sleep well or or are looking for a quiet stay, stay on the top floor and close your windows as there can be some noise from the beer garden and the street outside. Overall, I'd have to say that the Lokal Inn is the most wonderful B&B I've ever stayed in! Can't recommend it enough!!!
"Pretty good. Don't book on their website."
06/07/14 emilyq San Francisco
Big rooms and lots of space. Small quibbles: All rooms are nonsmoking, but somehow our bathroom smelled strongly of cigarettes each night. The restaurant is very smoky in the evening. They started doing construction each morning at 7:15, including Saturday. The window from our bedroom (room 24) looked directly into the corridor window, so we had to keep curtains drawn for privacy. I do not suggest booking on their website, as the site will change the dates you enter to dates that have availability. Or at least be very careful.

The hotel is very nice building from 18th century. The hotel is very well situated in historic Kampa (The Lesser Town). There is a typical Czech pub on the ground floor where you can taste Czech cousin and beer. The food is delicious, especially we enjoyed hearty breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. They speak English. We liked the atmosphere of the hotel. We stayed in Deluxe Double Room on the second floor. The room was comfortable and good size for 2 people. The bed was really large and comfortable. Few tips: there is no elevator; if you prefer quiet room avoid room with rear window which may be noisy because of the beer garden. Just around the corner there is beautiful Shakespeare Bookshop – with many new and used English books.

We recently completed a fabulous trip to 5 European Cities: Prague was our third city. Each place we stayed was super, however, the Lokal Inn was my husband's favorite place. It was exactly what we had hoped for and as advertised. We traveled with another couple and both of our suites were huge, comfortable, spotless, filled with old world charm and modern conveniences. The bed was supremely comfortable. I would not change a thing. Camilla at the front desk was a delight, spoke excellent English and was quite helpful. We arrived very early on the day of our check-in because of an Early morning flight from Amsterdam. Camilla stowed all our luggage in a locked closet and we were off to tour Prague. When we returned late afternoon, we checked in with out a hitch and discovered our gorgeous rooms. We ate dinner in the Lokal Inn restaurant. We had a sumptuous meal and the best beer in the world. Our tab was very reasonable. Great food, great room, great price, and best beer in the world. Oh, and yes the location is as great as the reviews would lead you to believe. We walked all over Prague and fortunately the Lokal is about at the epicenter. LIterally about a hundred feet from the Charles Bridge. We crossed the Bridge a dozen times, but on our last night we ducked out at about 11:00 p.m. to stand on the Bridge to view the lights. Very romantic. We liked the food so well, we ate dinner at the Lokal again on our last night in Prague. Advice: the local people love the food and beer here also, so you may want to consider making a reservation. One night after going to a super folk fest dinner in Prague, we came home to the Lokal and sat in the center patio for a beer. We met and talked with a group of Slovakian 20 - 30 year olds. We had so much fun (we are in our early 60's, but are mobile and young at heart). We were probably some of the people that were a little noisy. So, warning if you have young children who are light sleepers, or expect quiet at a beautiful B&B over a restaurant pub, stay on the highest floorl and close your windows. Lokal Inn - Loved it, loved it, loved it.
"Perfect in Prague"

We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary & my husbands birthday in this excellent hotel. Perfect location in the old town, just around the corner from Charles Bridge. It offered excellent value & we had a beautiful attic room (room 34) Fantastic breakfast was served every morning with a great selection to choose from. Very popular bar at the hotel. Would love to return one day.
