"Cute Agriturismo Property Off The Beaten Path"
I think this was a family estate that now has a commercial side producing olive oil and hosting guests. Our room felt like staying as a house guest. It was clean and comfortable and we had a very light and simple coffee, juice, & roll breakfast. There is a restaurant onsite and also maybe an artist workshop. There are orange, lemon, and olive trees everywhere. There are a couple of occupied bird cages in the courtyards which add to the soundtrack of the countryside. In February, during the week, we were the only guests and it was very quiet. The reservation I made with never showed up in their system, but they still took us on our word that we had a reservation and honored the rate that appeared on our email confirmation. A lovely stay and a great night for E50.

Verder top.

"An air from the glorious Hacienda days"

This 2 star hotel is a perfect place for us who like to see the genuine Spain and live outside the tourist streams. The owner is the charming young lady who speaks perfect Spanish but not too many words of English. Nevertheless, she made us feel really welcome and was eager to assist us and help out with everything. Their restaurant serves great local dishes in a romantic milieu. The gardens and surrounding in the middle of vineyards and olive trees is just perfect.

"Authentic Spanish Estate in Peaceful Surroundings"
07/07/14 Swelview Edmonton, Canada
We stayed overnight at the Hacienda la Vereda in May 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. The surroundings were very pleasant and the accommodation was inviting and roomy. We had a main floor room facing the back garden and found it to be very quiet and comfortable. This working winery and olive press is very Spanish but the addition of Edgar (who speaks very good English) to their staff made it easy and comfortable for us, who are English speaking, as the rest of the staff spoke mainly Spanish and a little French. We had an informal tour of the operation (translated by Edgar) and a very lovely dinner out on the patio in the evening. All was good. This B&B is off the beaten track but worth finding; it's not that easy to find, so check it out before you get going or you'll see a lot more countryside than you need to. The breakfast was very good and the staff very courteous and willing to make the experience good for us. I would recommend to anyone seeking an authentically local experience with good accommodation in a quiet area in the country. The grounds are very nice and there's a pool area that's inviting and relaxing. We were very glad that we had booked this accommodation.

"Loved it. Traditional and charming"

We drove for miles and finally found it amongst the quiet of the olive groves, on the edge of a small settlement. The minor road number given in the hotel's travel directions is wrong so get plenty details from the hotel as it was a nightmare to find.A gorgeous entrance just set the whole scene. It was also incredibly cheap. A charming, traditional place with attractive grounds and our room was lovely, very quiet.Lots of little sitting out places in a small courtyard and the garden itself.Staff helpful and friendly. You really feel you are in the 'real Spain' here, which was exactly what we wanted for our short trip to an area we know quite well.About 40 mins from Cordoba. I wouldn't say it is all 'unspoiled' as such because power lines mar the view a little but it is still very attractive.Breakfast was simple, lots of really top quality serrano ham and toast and cheeses with their own nice olive oil. Our only disappointment was the one evening meal we had; food fairly ordinary(though inexpensive) despite the accolades we'd read and ambience a bit lacking.I suppose getting a bowl of crisps for nibbles wasn't the best introduction. But it wouldn't stop us staying again in the region..A haven to return to in the evening.

"Of the beaten track"

Great for a short break in the middle of nowhere! A working farm with its own olive press as well as making the most delicious wine from Pedro Ximenes grapes (14%-yum yum!). The farmhouse is beautiful and the food and staff most welcoming. The surrounding countryside is a bit olive monoculture bur the Bodegas at Montilla and the Roman Cisterns at Monturque are definitely worth a couple of night here. Direct access to horses on the farm for those who like that sort of thing. My wife does.

"Great stop along the way"

We stopped here for only one night along our way from Toledo the Ronda. This was a great find in the middle of olive trees and vineyards. They do not speak much English, but we got along fine. The room and service were great and the restaurant is very good.

"No noise."

Hacienda la Vereda is a recommendable place that is situated off the habitual tourist path, to stay if you are looking for a noiseless accommodation in the Andalusian countryside, meaning olive groves, olive groves and more olive groves interrupted by some wineyards used to produce the typical and excellent “Fino” or "Pedro Ximenez" of this Region. The owner Pablo (a former Pharmacist) is a very kind and handsome person, all his staff is genuine and friendly. He will show you his wine cellar and you can learn about and try all the different white wines types produced in this Region of Andalusia. Of course you will also be able to buy olive oil produced by the Hacienda that offers a total of 7 guest rooms, a small swimming pool and nice gardens plus patio with orange and lemon trees if you are into taking a drink or reading a book to relax which should be your main aim if you select this rural seat for a short vacation. The nearest attraction is the City of Cordoba at a distance of 55 km. You can reach it by car in about 50 minutes (the first 10 km is a small and pretty bad countryside road, but that’s what you would expect if choosing a place in the midst of olive groves, in harmony with silence). The amenities in the rooms are essential but well maintained, chosen with good taste and in style with the rural context and the history of the Hacienda. Breakfast is basic, don’t expect a continental breakfast or buffet, it was absolutely fine for us, they were keen to prepare scrambled eggs or freshly pressed orange juice if you just ask for it, there even was a selection of 6 or 7 sorts of tea, inclusive Rooibos... The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and was open for lunch and dinner (a very positive surprise). They served some fine dishes, we always took the house wine, highly recommendable and easy to drink. Very good value for money in our case, I’m adding three mobile phone pics.

"You can't get more Spanish than this!"
07/09/12 Geoliz Clinton, New Jersey
We had the pleasure of staying at the hacienda during a family road trip in the south of Spain. The highlight was a tour with the owner of the wine and olive oil production facilities. The tour included a tasting of the various sherries and had to be the highlight of our stay. We were the only non native Spanish present which added to the authenticity. We took home some olive oil which I am rationing knowing that it is a long trip back to get more. The accommodations and food were very traditional. Only downside is it is a bit of the main roads but it was a very scenic drive thru the olive groves and vineyards on the way.

"A Great Relaxing Venue"
02/05/12 pbmeyersr Estepona, Spain
Hacienda La Vereda renovated in its old Andalucian style, with a very personal touch and distinguished flavour. The owner decided 7 year ago to buy this hacienda to restore it in its former glory with an eye for detail. The Hotel radiates a relaxing atmosphere to completely refresh one’s mind, an experience that will carry on for a long time afterwards. The place offers all you need; it has a restaurant, bar, terraces, swimming pool all set in a large garden. They invite you for an excursion on the premises to show off their two Bodegas for olive oil refinery, and sherry distillation from fruits harvested from their own olive and vineyards, which is interesting and scope widening. Hike, Bike and Horseback riding are amongst the sportive activities. You’ll be impressed by the friendly personal attention, you won’t experience in many other hotels. The typical Andalucian tiling and decoration is pleasant and put you in touch with the past. The food served is of top quality no need to go elsewhere, besides the place is isolated from the daily hassle, why a car is needed to enjoy the fabulous surrounding sceneries. Highly recommended to anyone who likes a change from daily live.
