Perfect place to stay next to airport. This is the place to stay if you want to be near the airport. Just walk across the street. Very comfortable and no airport noise. Restaurant has great buffet for breakfast. Hotel staff is very helpful.

Very good location in the AKL airport, just right across the street from international terminal. Sound proofing of the hotel room is excellent since they have two layers of thick window glass. Beding is in good condition with dunlop brand mattress. Large walk-in shower space. This hotel is great for a night if one needs to catch a flight the following day as it is immediately outside of the airport terminal within several hundred meters. It is a very undesirable hotel as a vacation spot for a couple of reasons. 1) right next to the airport and has a view of the parking lot. 2) 30 minute drive into Auckland proper. The food […] there was very poor in quality: we ordered room service a couple of times and found a couple of the items to be inedible and the others to be overpriced and bland. Also the bed and linens were very uncomfortable. I found the the doorless shower to be strange as well as messy with water splash. We ended up leaving a day early to our next location partially because we were very unhappy with our stay here. The next location we stayed at in Waikato was also a novotel and it had wonderful service, accommodations, and food. The disparity between to the two hotels with respect to comfort, service, and accommodating was striking. The novotel airport location did have a great gym: It was clean, comfortable, and had a wide variety of cardio machines and exercise equipment. Read more

Convient to airport-(very short walk), a perfect location to wind down from a trip or stay the night before a trip. Restaurant was very good and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We arrived from LA, had dinner, crashed for the night, then picked up our rental the next morning and were on our way.

This is a great hotel to stay in if you have an early international flight out the next morning. We were able to walk to check in counter and get on our early AM flight back to the states. The hotel is very clean and the service we received was quite friendly.

This is a very nice hotel in a singular location, directly adjacent to Auckland Airport's international terminal. The hotel employees were very gracious. There are free Internet terminals in the lobby. The rooms are also very well insulated so it's amazingly quiet for a building right next to an airport.

Extremely convenient new hotel, situated less than 100 metres from Auckland airport arrivals hall. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and functional. Ideal for a transit stop-over, although better options exist in the city for a longer stay.

The hotel itself was excellent - very modern and comfortable. The big letdown, however, was the poor Internet service. It was expensive - something like $NZ30/day - and (worst of all) had a ridiculously low data cap: 1000 MBytes, but after just 100 MBytes, the bandwidth was reduced to an unusably low level - similar to an old 56 kbps modem. I realize […] that the Internet service is at least in part beyond the hotel's control; Internet service in NZ is dominated by an abusive monopoly (Telecom NZ). I'm hesitant to write too good a review, because I want to be sure there are rooms available next time I fly into Auckland. The hotel is literally steps away from the International terminal. We paid for a 1/2 day on the day of departure, and I was able to take a long shower and nap on a big bed 2 hours prior to a 13 hour flight (having checked bags […] and picked-up boarding passes earlier in the day). The rooms are modern and clean, the staff was very helpful, and you can eat at the hotel or walk 90 seconds to eat anywhere in the Airport terminal. We took several trips into Auckland, and the buses to the city all leave from in front of the hotel. And, despite having a runway 3/4 of a mile away, the rooms were quite quiet (and it was interesting to watch the planes land/take-off from the giant windows in the room. I could no be more pleased with this hotel (unless I can't get a reservation the next time I need one). Read more

We are going to start every holiday the night before by staying at the Novotel Akl Airport! Everything was perfect! Location, service, quality of rooms (and they are sound proof) did not hear one aircraft and the restaurant left us speechless! The food quality, presentation, portion size not to mention the waiting service was all unbelievably perfect! […] Lucky us we are staying there again when we return from our holiday! If every tourist entered NZ via this hotel they will be delighted! I am proud to be a kiwi with this level of quality upon arrival & departure in NZs busiest airport! If you're flying, esp from the international terminal, the location literally could not be more convenient. Just across the walkway and you're there. There's also great public transport into the city from the doorstep of the hotel. I believe it was about $26 round trip into the city- the buses are clean and timely. A cab from the airport to downtown […] was $96, ridiculous. Take the bus.The internet at the hotel was about $20 USD for 24 hours, which is ridiculous considering how many hotels offer it complimentary. BUT, with the convenience and savings on cabs to the airport, etc, it was absolutely worth it. Read more
