The room was small but cute, The shower was very small, Great location, The price was very reasonable, Staff was very friendly and helpfull, The only thing I rated low was cleaning service but had to call to get them to come, Overall it was very nice place to stay.

Room smelled like urine, was not clean, beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, restaurant servers were rude, the hotel and surrounding area was under major construction, and they charged incidental charges upon arriving at the hotel which we thought we were paid full when we booked online.

Ok, not the best not the worst. But too expensive for the location. Drinks and food in pool area are over priced. Very noisy , on top of hotel rooms there appears to be a large attic that the hotel uses to store stuff which is fine but they need to not go up there after 11am. We had stayed near Duval Street in a lovely B&B for a couple of days, but wanted to experience the "natural" side of Key West. This was perfect! It was affordable (less thn half of the B&B), convenient (we parked 4 feet from our front door!), ner the beach, and had a great restaurant, bar pool and docks! There were more than enough hammocks and lounge […] chairs on their beach! Although the Ibis Resort is right on the road, there is lagoon on the street side so it is separted from the town (as much as possible.) There was free coffee and juice, but the breakfast was good and the open-air cafe was right on the waterfront. The service was great. The front desk was responsive (we had an issue with our plumbing and it was fixed in 20 minutes...and the maintenance person came to our table to explain what the problem had been and apologize!) Reservations for water spsorts and other tours could be made at the front office. They had glass-bottom kyacks nd tours through the mangroves and on a night tour. Really great plce to stay! We enjoyed our stay as far as cleanliness, comfort and friendly staff but they had newly remodeled and their was several things they hadn't gotten to yet like hooks in the bath to hang bathrobes, etc. It could also use more shelves in the bathroom for things like toiletries, etc. They also need to put a mirror in the room outside of bath so more people […] can get ready at once because baths were so small that it would only accomodate 1 at a time, plus my friend and I required the privacy. We made these suggestions to the staff when we checked out. Also, they did not have a shuttle, so had we not had our car, it could have cost us alot in taxi fees to get to the places we wanted to go because it was far away from Duvall street where most things are at. The restaurant was really good and served 3 meals and opened all day if you wanted a drink in the afternoon. Nice beach but no swimming, but it had a very nice pool. The room was absolutely disgusting. Carpeted. Old run down air conditioners. Tiny rooms. We noticed that the bottoms of our feet were black. Then we realized it was from the filty carpet. The air conditioner in the room immediately made me sick. I think it's mold that's on the carpet. I was very close to calling the Dept of Health. Luckily we only stayed […] 3 nights. The website is deceiving in that it advertises parasailing, kayaking, jet skiing, etc. All of those services cost extra. They are not included in the room rate nor do you get a discount. The pool area was nice and the beach front hammocks are relaxing. There is NO ocean swimming here though so don't be fooled by the pictures. It is a Man made beach with a rocky coast. we were rather upset initially at the lack of friendly cooperation from the front desk staff or empathetic listening or problem solving attitude but the holel owner who later appeared saved the day. Great place to stay. The housekeeping staff never restocked our cups, toliet paper, etc in the room and we were there for 5 nights. We left our beach towels to be replaced by the housekeepers and we didn't get new ones, when we went to the front desk to ask for new ones, it felt like we were being accused of stealing the towels we had. This hotel has benn renovated recently, we were to have a room with a pool or courtyard view, ended up with the view of the parking lot for RV's.
