The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Every time that I have visited Venice I have stayed in Mestre and have suffered from mosquitos. I decided to stay, this time, a little further out but with easy access to Venice by train. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous (the room only dissapoints a bit because of the spetacular building and lobby). Staff are professional and helpful (night staff speaks absolutely no English though). No bath, which was a bit annoying for a "special upgraded room" at extra price. The best things are the surrounding area - the little town of Campania […] Lupia is absolutely stunning, there are bike rentals and swimming pools in the vicinity, both recommended - and the breakfast, which was the best I had in my stay in Italy. Hôtel très agréable, un personnel très accueillant et serviable, avant comme pendant le séjour, qui a fait l'effort de parler en français. Locaux récents, chambre confortable et très propre. Petit déjeuner complet inclus. Seul petit ennui : l'hôtel est éloigné de Venise. Heureusement, la gare n'est qu'à quelques minutes de l'hôtel à pied. Attention, […] le dernier train pour revenir de Venise est à 20h34 (voir les horaires sur le site Internet de l'hôtel très utile). Les billets de trains sont disponibles à la vente à l'accueil de l'hôtel. Un bus (67R géré par la compagnie ACTV) dessert également Campagna Lupia (dernier bus à 22h15 en partance de Venise). Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und die Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich! Das Hotel liegt sehr gut. Die Zugstation für nach Venedig liegt nicht all zu weit von dem Hotel und kann […] gut zu Fuss erreicht werden. Leider sind die Zugverbindungen nicht sehr häufig, dafür kann das Hotel jedoch nichts. Falls man mit dem Zug reist, sollte man unbedingt die Tickets schon im Hotel kaufen (für hin und zurück). Weil die Schalter (Kioske) in Venedig schon um 18:00 Uhr schliessen. Für solche die mit dem Fahrzeug fahren möchten, bietet das Hotel einen Parkhaus in Mestre an (1 Zugstation bis nach Venedig). Hier sind die Tarife viel interessanter als in Venedig selber. Die Anreise zum Hotel gestaltet sich ein bischen schwieriger. Von den Flughäfen Treviso und Marco Polo fährt ein Bus zum Busbahnhof in Venedig, von dem wiederum ein Bus nach Campagna Lupia fährt ( letzter Bus 22:15 Uhr ). Wer es gern bequemer hätte, der kann im voraus beim Hotel ein Taxi bestellen ( Strecke Treviso-Hotel 70 Euro ). Das Hotel liegt ruhig […] in ländlicher Umgebung südlich von Venedig. Für 5 Euro kann man sich im Hotel ein Fahrrad leihen und die schöne Umgebung erkunden. 4 Min. Fußweg sind es bis zum Bahnhof und in 40 Min kann man mit dem Zug direkt zum Hauptbahnhof nach Venedig fahren. Vor dem Bahnhof befindet sich eine große Vaporetto-Anlegestelle, von der aus man in alle Richtungen weiterfahren kann. Der letzte Zug zurück fährt gegen 20.30 Uhr - der letzte Bus zurück geht um 22.15 Uhr. Das Hotel selbst ist komplett renoviert und besitzt einen Fahrstuhl. Mein Zimmer hatte ein neues Bad und das Bett war nicht durchgelegen; hatte allerdings eine Matratze der Härtestufe 1. Frühstücken konnte man wahlweise Drinnen oder Draußen, und es gab verschiedene Brotsorten & Croissants, Kuchen, Marmelade, Honig, Nutella, Wurst, Käse, Ei, Joghurt, Kornflakes, Kaffee, Capuccino, Espresso, Eistee, Tee, Wasser, Milch und O-Saft. Für ein italienisches Frühstück war das schon sehr reichhaltig und immer frisch. Das Personal ist wirklich ausgesprochen freundlich und immer hilfsbereit und man fühlt sich in dem Hotel rundum wohl. Auch das angeschlossene Restaurant kommt den unterschiedlichsten Bedürfnissen (von Pizza bis zur Degustationsauswahl) entgegen. Und das Beste: Als vierköpfige Familie kamen wir in den Genuss einer geräumigen (und geschmackvoll eingerichteten) Suite, bestehend aus zwei Zimmern, während wir uns in anderen Hotels vergleichbarer Kategorie schon sehr häufig beengt mit zwei Zustellklappbetten in einem Raum arrangieren mussten. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Ein kleiner Bahnhof ist ca. 10 Min. zu Fuß vom Hotel entfernt, von wo aus wir mit der Bahn sehr einfach nach Venedig fahren konnten (ACHTUNG: Fahrkarten sollte man vorher im Hotel kaufen, da der Schalter am Bahnhof immer zu war. Die Fahrt dauert ca. 30 Min.). Das Personal war jederzeit ansprechbar […] und sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist das freundlichste Personal, das ich jemals in einem Hotel in Italien erlebt habe. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für Gäste gab es jederzeit KOSTENFREI frische und auch warme Getränke wie Wasser, Säfte, Tee & Kafee. Ein Zwischenfall gab es trotzdem: Während unserer Abwesenheit wurde unser Koffer "durchsucht" und Kleidungen waren durcheinander gewühlt.
