"Clean hotel 10 mins from Venice's main bus station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast consisted of eggs, cold meat, cereal and fresh baked croissants. This hotel is great value! It is a 10 minute walk from the Mestre bus/train station, next door to a supermarket and close to kebab/pizza restaurants and some pubs. It is very easy to get into central Venice. There is a bus right across the street that comes every 10 mins and takes about 12 mins to get to the main bus station in Venice. It costs a little over a euro one way and you can get the ticket at the reception (along with vaporetta tickets). Keep in mind though that st.mark's square is about a 35 min walk from Piazalle Roma ( the bus station). Unless you want to lug your bags through the narrow, busy streets and (many) staircases of Venice and pay a fortune for a dump, I would recommend staying in the Mestre area and this hotel was great value for the money.

"Venice May 2012"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
We stayed 1 night only and were very happy with the hotel. Dont forget to get you key from Hotel Luca as the Casa Dolce has no reception. The feeling of the hotel is as you were resident of Venice. We highly recommend it.

"Alternative to staying in Venice"
This is an ultramodern hotel designed in a minimalist style. The rooms are spacious, the bed is enormous and comfortable, the internet is free, the breakfast is excellent. The price for this quality of hotel is about 1/2 of what you would pay in Venice. The downside is that it is not that close to Venice, though there is a train from the town of Mogliano […] Veneto, a 5 minute car ride away, that will get you right into Venice in about 20 minutes and for about 5 Euros return. There is also a hotel shuttle to Venice which costs more. Mogliano Veneto is a nice town with lots of restaurants to try out, but again you need a car to get to them. The bathroom, while huge and luxurious looking, has a very strange shower design that routinely floods the floor when you use it. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is driving and does not wish to navigate the automobile-free complexity that is Venice dragging their suitcases after them. Read more
"Move Hotel - ideal for visiting Venice"
As Venice is a rather pricey city, we had opted to stay at Move as a more budget-friendly option (it being on the mainland rather than the island), but were extremely pleased to find that this did not mean we had comprised on anything. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was comfortable, clean and stylish. Its convenient […] location meant we were less than 15 minutes away by car from Venice, but there are good transportation links that take you straight to the city. In short - can't recommend it enough! Read more

Read more
