The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.

We stayed 2 weeks. The owner and staff are very efficient, accommodating, and pleasant. The location was perfect and the facility was excellent. We will stay again.

We had trouble finding the Bath Hilton due to one-way streets and traffic congestion, but it is close to the Abbey, Roman baths and Pump Room, so it's worth the trouble. Two negatives: internet access was available only in the lobby and parking costs approx. $22 per night. Positives are the full breakfast in the restaurant with a fantastic view and, as mentioned, hotel's location.

The Macdonald Bath Spa is lovely, the staff is helpful and attentive. We were automatically upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful surprise. No complaints. Would definitely stay there again.

"Not typical b & b experience at all"
This is a retreat-like bed and breakfast, complete with lots and lots of angels and meditative music. NOT your typical bed and breakfast at all. Our room was clean, but in what appeared to be a re-make of a garage. We changed rooms because the first room they gave us was with a shared bathroom, which was not what we wanted. As they did not expect to […] rent us the "garage" room, it was very cold, even after they turned on the portable radiator in the room. We paid an additional ten pounds for the room with a private bathroom.The people were very nice, but I would not go back again. The house was very difficult to find, as the entry was at the back of a parking lot. I don't remember what "star" rating this was given, but i would not give it more than a one star. Read more

This little place is a wonderful find - the owner, Daisy is a bundle of peace and joy and she welcomes you as if she has known you all her life! The place is clean and has lots of space to relax and think, meditate, discuss the nature of the universe or anything else your soul needs to revive itself. The only slight quibble is that the retreat is at […] the back of the church so if you don't like bells then you might find the tolling quite distracting, but that is just one of those things - I would rather hear bells than drunks or any of the other antisocial noises I have heard when staying at other hotels! Lovely, quiet place to stay right in the centre of Glastonbury - NOT as indicated on the Hotels.com map at the time of booking, in a village just outside Glastonbury. Daisy (at the Centre) is warm, welcoming and accommodating of people with varying degrees of faith in angels etc - and makes the magical facets of Glastonbury, and angels, more accessible […] to all. We had a very comfortable stay - although I'd recommend bringing a dressing gown if you're staying in one of the garden rooms (we stayed in Uriel), as the trip to the bathroom involves crossing the garden itself.
