We have stayed here before and loved it the first so we came back here again. Dinner was really busy so was limited in reservations so definitely book in advance. Spa is excellent - foot spa, indoor jacuzzi and outdoor part too!

Didn't know what to expect when booking a room online, so when I opened the the door to my lower priced room I was very pleased. I would stay there again.
Location.
Situated in Banbury, Avonlea Guest House is close to Broughton Castle. Additional regional attractions include Motor Heritage Centre and Rollright Stones.

"Great value with Superb service!"
I'd definitely recommend the Avonlea Guest House to anyone traveling to or through Banbury. As with any Bed and Breakfast, you expect a comfortable bed, a good breakfast and a friendly face, and the Avonlea definitely meets all of those requirements with flying colors. Owner/operator Debbie was wonderful -- friendly smile and willing to offer advice […] and answer any questions about things to do in the area. Even when I arrived early in the afternoon and she was out, a quick phone call resulted in her returning within just a few minutes to greet me so that I could get settled. As I was traveling alone, I had a single en-suite room which was clean and comfortable. The Avonlea is just a few minutes walk from the town center and shopping areas of Banbury, and it provided a good base for my travel to a village slightly outside of town for a family function. "Avonlea Guest House - Great Banbury B&B"
The Avonlea was a great place to stay on our trip. Just minutes from the centre of town, we were excited with the comfort of the bed. The owner was very friendly and helpful. "Very helpful & friendly staff"
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean. Free wifi provided. Breakfast was good. And the place for breakfast is very cosy. They even provide brochures there for tourists. "Close to friends I was visiting"
The hotel was clean and well decorated. The bedroom provided a TV, and tea/coffee facilities, which I made good use of. The bed was extremely comfortable and the en-suite perfect (a very good shower). The owner was very friendly and provided a good choice of breakfast items. Could not have wished for more. "The Avonlea- good for business or holiday"
Stayed here after a working day and a journey due to a work meeting the next morning. The owner was understanding of this and had made artrangements to leave key in a 'keysafe' in case I was really late arriving, but no need as I got there at 10. The welcome was friendly and I was swiftly shown to my room- she even offered to carry my bag! The single […] room was comfy, decorated in a warm modern style and clean. It had everything I needed, clean shower room with good shower, TV, plenty of tea/ coffee etc. The hot choc drink was most welcome. The bed was comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious- nicely cooked. Plenty of choice of cereal and juices and jams and a nicely laid table in a fresh well-decorated dining room. I didn't get to say thanks and goodbye to my host as had to leave for my meeting- but thanks for a good stay. If staying in Banbury again I'd definitely return.
