The hotel is well-located. Though it is an old building, and it could use some renovation.

Great small hotel, well...let me take that back: the room is actually a small one room apartment, so is quite big, compared to a regular hotel room. The area is perfect with great restaurants and places to go at a walking distance, very safe too. I wanted a happening place with city noise, it was perfect for me, but if you need a silent place that does not wake the kids up at night don’t go there (I mean the neighborhood or Mexico city for that matters, not the hotel)

Location.
Situated in the heart of Mexico City, Hostel Amigo Suites Downtown is within walking distance of La Ensenanza, Metropolitan Cathedral, and Zocalo. Also nearby are Plaza de la Constitucion and Palacio Nacional.
Property Features.
Dining options at the bed & breakfast include a bar/lounge. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Complimentary wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is available in public areas. The staff can arrange tour/ticket assistance and tour assistance. Additional amenities at this Victorian property include a rooftop terrace, a concierge desk, and an arcade/game room. For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours). The property has designated areas for smoking. A total renovation of this property was completed in February 2011.

"Modern feel"
I loved the bright green walls. Plenty of space in our private room. Plentiful breakfast and dinner included.
