The hotel was great. I went to Islamorada for a fishing trip and spent one night in this hotel. The Rooms were immaculate, the Swimming pool was very clean and the staff was amazing! Thanks Magda!!!!!

The location and grounds are all this place has going for it. It is not a resort in the most remote sense of the word; it is a place with a room. The good: central AC, it was clean, and nothing bit me in my sleep. The bad; no coffee maker in the room, no services from desk except check in and check out. With this Motel, you have to realize that on Islamarado, it's probably one of the best the key has to offer. That said, I would recommend driving to another Key. The motel was a half -hearted family run business that tried to do well, they just missed the mark in some areas. For instance, the pool area was lovely but, the rest of the buildings from […] the outside looked moldy. The bathrooms were over-the-top but the beds were saggy and the pillows awful. We had great difficulty getting any assistance as the office was usually unmanned. The "lobby" of the motel was nicely done but the walls were so thin you could hear the people next door snoring in their sleep and watching TV. It is a family business, complete with the owner's young children running around. I don't think I would repeat my visit there but, I don't think I would stay any where on Islamorado. Oh and this was ironic, we asked for two keys for the room and the owner had to go get another key cut and couldn't give us one for quite awhile. Said the previous guests had taken the keys which made me uncomfortable knowing there were other keys to my room out there, unaccounted for, and made me question the safety of the room. Read more

The hotel location was convenient and had some good restaurants & bars near by. The online pictures were a lot better than the real thing. The hotel is somewhat old. It says private beach but you can not swim at it. There is no bar onsite must drive. Was too expensive for what you get.

If you wash away the glam and just want to get away and feel like you are in the keys and not in some mainstream fluffed up tourist area...then this is the place to go...My kids got it..hope the rest of you can figure it out..

My girlfriend and I have never been to the Keys so we were very spontaneous in our booking. We were pleasantly surprised once we got there. When I checked in a conversed with the owner, Magda, for a few minutes and she was very sweet - she immediately upgraded us to a "Honeymoon Suite" free of charge. I didn't expect much but everything turned out to […] be better than we ever imagined. The room was well kept, nice size, beautiful bathroom with a jacuzzi and a vanity (which my girlfriend loved for doing her makeup) with an outdoor balcony where we had our breakfast every morning. Islamorada itself was probably the best overall decision we made without knowing it. We were close to everything we did...local beach, Theater of the Sea, Bob's Bunz (breakfast), Marker 88 (dinner with amazing sunset) and within a few miles of Pennekamp State Park and about 80 miles from Key West (which we felt was quite overrated and only spent one day there). Overall I would go back to Coconut Cove purely based on my experience. The only downside which is apparently common in the keys with the exception of some ridiculously priced hotels) was that there was no "true" beach. The Keys (in many spots) have jagged shorelines which doesn't allow for good soft sand but the water is amazing regardless. Beautiful scenery around the resort enabled us to take so many pictures and we found a beach less than a mile away (just North) next to the Municipal building and firehouse. The only good thing about this hotel was the receptionist and the location. This hotel was nothing that we expected. The pictures show a nice hotel, and a well-kept grounds. it was an old, run-down place, and our room was bare. The room was smelly, the beds are not comfortable and the mattress was very old. Never again!!!

My husband & I stayed here for only one night on our way to Key West. Great location just off the highway with waterfront access. Very relaxing. The rooms are somewhat dated but why spend time in the room when you could be outside by the water! The staff were very friendly and helpful. No food/beverage service on site (other than morning coffee), so […] be sure to bring your own drinks. Coconut Cove is not for the person looking for a Hilton but a place that you can relax in a natural Florida Keys setting. Awesome pool with water fall, palm trees and other tropical plants, great ocean views from chaise lounge chairs from the beachy area (not a real beach) and the small marina area. The owners were friendly, we got an upgrade upon arrival. Pool and waterfrond are nice. Price is good. I think this is more a weekend-wedding hotel. We stayed during the week and there were few people although it was high season. The owners were busy cleaning up from the wedding the weekend before. Stayed at the Coconut Cove not able to justify some of the silly priced hotels in the keys and really enjoyed our stay. Owners are particularly helpful, room was good, but, the location watching sun go down on an evening was absolutely beautiful will definately return here again.

Der Aufenthalt war nicht sonderlich schön. Das Gebäude in dem unser Zimmer lag, sah aus wie eine Baustelle die nicht fertiggestellt worden war. Zimmerwände waren total verdreckt. Balkon war verdreckt, sowie die Balkonmöbel auch. Der Aufenthalt war eine Zumutung. Für das Geld eine Frechheit. Die Anlage an sich könnte ganz schön sein, nur leider fehlt […] die Pflege. Die schöne Tikibar war nie besetzt und auch so war nur selten Servicepersonal sichtbar. Also keine Ansprechpartner. Nur ein Telefon mit einer angegebenen Rufnummer an die man sich in Notfällen wenden kann. Das bin ich bislang immer anders gewöhnt gewesen. Read more

Op mij maakte het hotel de indruk van vergane glorie van een hotel dat er in de beginjaren na haar opening best mooi uitzag. Het terrein is een rommeltje, de kamers net maar enorm gedateerd. Wifi is er alleen bij de bar maar niet op de kamers, warm water was er niet. Het deel waar ik in verbleef deed me erg aan een treurig " Pippie Langkous-huis meets […] spookhuis" denken. Het personeel vond ik beleefd maar niet meer dan dat, niemand die je even met je koffer helpt (2 enorme trappen-want geen lift aanwezig-, receptionistes die op collega's mopperen).
