Reasonably close to town centre. No a/c, but nice rooms. Close to trafficated road, but good windows. Parking in nearby streets. Service is good, but breakfast, which seems nice, needs to be preordered. Returning customer.

The hotel staff was very helpful, with me being from out of the country, they went out of there way to make sure I understood everything. The room was nice, the only thing that could be better is if it had air conditioning, but most hotels in the Netherlands do not. The onsite restaurant had excellent food, and once again the staff was able to translate the menu for me. The only real complaint that I do have, is that the free Wi-Fi is not very good. It would keep disconnecting and re-connecting. Also, it was not very fast.

We stayed at the apartment for two nights. We are seriously thinking of returning in the near future. The apartment was well kept with an excellent... country view from the balcony. The proprietor was extremely helpful, pleasant and was most particular that we enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was very large with an excellent shower. The kitchen had all facilities for self-catering if required. We decided to have our main meals in town but enjoyed the evenings sat on the balcony delighting in having a nightcap and admiring the view prior to retiring. A main road is nearby but did not encroach on the tranquillity of the apartment. The scenic and interesting town of Xanten is but a short drive away and well worth visiting more than once. The shops were varied, many of the smaller shops owned and run by local people. Well recommended. by a Hotels.com guest on 08/16/12
