You cannot stay closeer to the airport. You walk from the Hotel elevator across to the the departure gates. Staff was very helpful with directions on using the train to get into the city.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. Good location for shopping as well as for lovers of art. All major fashion brands are represented in the neighbourhood. The hotel appeared old from the outside but it is sparkling clean inside.

We liked the hotel and would stay there again. Staff was accommodating and helpful during our stay. Hotel and rooms were clean. Rooms were spacious. The room options are confusing. We reserved 3 standard rooms, one of them had a kitchen for the same price but no silverware/china/pots. We did not spend Euro 15 for breakfast there. A butcher and baker are in walking distance and serve breakfast there too. Several restaurants nearby. Commuter rail to Duesseldorf not too far away.

The hotel has rooms in several buildings in the area. That means that you will not necesseraly get a room at the building with the reception an breakfast rest/café. The room we got was surprisingly big. Dont expect 5 star room, but with the great location I would stay at this hotel again.

Het hotel was prima voor ons korte verblijf. De kamer had een wat gedateerde uitstraling maar was verder wel schoon en het bed sliep prima. De badkamer was net vernieuwd en ik had het geluk een ligbad te hebben. Mijn vriendinnen hadden een kleine douche. De ontbijtruimte was erg koud ondanks het feit dat de verwarming aanstond. Das Zimmer istübersichtlich, aber sauber und gepflegt. Ärgerlich is tdie Fernsehversorgung mit DVB-T. Je nach gewünschtem Sender muss die DVB-T Antenne umgestellt werden. Das Bad ist groß. Das Hotel liegt landschaftlich schön in den Ruhrauen. Trotzdem war es nicht möglich, mit offenem Fenster zu schlafen, da die nahegelegende Autobahn stark zu hören […] ist. Angesichts des fairen Preises kann ich das Hotel empfehlen, wenn man bereit ist, mit den genannten Einschränkungen zu leben. Read more

Detta är ett bra hotel som ligger på lagom avstånd från Essen. Trevlig personal och helt ok rum för prisklassen. Ett litet minus var att resturangen inte var öppen men det finns två andra i närheten så det funkade ändå.

Roligt og godt beliggende hotel midt imellem Essen og Dusseldorf. Fin service med et smil. Hotellets restaurant var desværre lukket, men der var fremragende alternativer lige om hjørnet. Alt i alt - rigtig fint!

Das Hotel können wir ohne Bedenken weiter empfehlen. Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Stets wird gefragt, ob alles recht ist. Bad und Schlafzimmer sowie Frühstück sind sehrsehr angenehm. Die Lage ist für Naturfreunde und Sportler absolut traumhaft. Laufen oder radeln, direkt von der Türe aus, an der Ruhr vorbei, an Streuobstwiesen […] und Kühen, dann durch den Wald retour. Auch ein 45min. Spaziergang ins benachbarte Essen Kettweg hat Spaß gemacht, dort ist sogar abends was los, es gibt Restaurants und Kneipen. Die Anbindung mit dem Auto leidet darunter keinesfalls, wir konnten sowohl Bekannte in Essen, Duisburg als auch im Kreis Mettmann in wenigen Minuten erreichen. Ein riesiger Supermarkt ist mit dem Auto in 3 min erreichbar, dort haben wir unseren Reiseproviant und Mitbringsel ergattert. Also volle Punktzahl! Read more

ist idylisch gelegen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Zimmer sind sauber, nicht allzu gross. Jeden Tag frische Bettwäsche. Gleich neben einem sehr guten Speiselokal gelegen. Preis-Leistung stimmen. Kann man gerne weiterempfehlen.
