"Apt Hotel? Better than a hotel."
Powerful air conditioners in the rooms was key for our August getaway. Kitchen comes with pots and pans and everything but a knife to make your own meal (I bought a $2 one at a nearby supermarket). Location is perfect for couples who want to stay in a quiet area but be just a walking distance away from the nightlife and plenty of bars/restaurants. Collins […] Ave and Lincoln Ln provide that for you. 5 minute walk east on 23rd street straight to the water, and wow is it surprisingly clear. Highly recommended. "Construction and Parking"
This is best for extended living condtions. 1 week or more the only problem was the construction of the streets. make sure you have the housekeeping come in the early am or you will not get service. The parking is an adddtional expense but overall a good place to stay. I will stay again if I have an extended stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near Miami Beach Convention Center"
A very relaxing little oasis after attending a trade show at the convention center. Since I was there for a week, I appreciated the full kitchen to keep some basics on hand and not have to go out for every meal. The staff was very helpful. Free shuttle to and from the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room we where given wasn't clean-the guy at checkin wasn't helpful at all. Finally got a clean room but it still had things wrong with it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Affordable, convenient location"
These apartments are two blocks from the beach, without the by-the-beach expensive hotel rates. Nice rooms, with kitchen included, two big TV's, i-pod station/radio, free wi-fi. Only one problem: the room was not cleaned one out of 5 days. One convenience store is one block away, and a Walgreen's is two blocks away. Two blocks from Collins Ave. where […] you can get on a bus and go everywhere. Within walking distance from the Holocaust Memorial, the Botanical Garden; about six blocks away from Lincoln Road Mall. In conclusion, I recommend these apartments for their affordable rates and convenient location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room and Pool were great."
Hotel, staff and amenities are all great but the hotel itself looks a bit dirty. I was dissapointed pulling up to and checking into the hotel, but our room and pool were both great. I would stay here again. Definately take advantage of the free shuttle to the FREE happy hour at 1 of the sister hotels. Overall it was awesome. Very clean. Very spacious. The only bad thing I would say is that parking is not easy. They only have street parking for short term stays and if it is full...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was great! I felt like I was in my own apartment. It was comfy and cozy! Me and my lover had a great time! We will stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An excelent hotel, big rooms, great location and security ok. But the guy it was on the front desk, doesn´t know too much about the address and things to do for tourists. Better my GPS. Also he used to eat at the front desk. That can´t be, a warning to the hotel manager...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Overall it was a pleasant experience."
This facility is great for an extended stay. You are renting an apartment. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. It has a full kitchen with all necessary utensils and a small coffee machine, a dining area and living room complete with a fold out couch for extra sleeping arrangements. Each main room had a large flat screen TV mounted to […] the wall. In the living area there was also a desk set up as a laptop/work station and a stereo to play your favorite music. Our apartment shared a patio with our neighbor and opened to the pool deck, which made evening swimming very convenient. During our stay, the Tradewinds offered beach towels, beach cruisers, an open bar happy hour, and an airport shuttle for the guests. Our apartment was stocked with general amenities/toiletries like standard hotels and also included pots, pans, dishes, ice cube tray, dish soap and sponge. The housekeeping staff were available daily and they emptied all trash bins, changed towels and sheets, dusted and cleaned the floors, and restocked amenities as needed. Their timing was sporadic and they did not pay attention to the “do not disturb” sign on the door. Although they cleaned each day, there were some items that needed additional attention. For instance, upon our arrival, there was still hair in the tub. Overall, it was worth staying at the Tradewinds based on the price, comfort of the apartments and being close enough to the beach to walk is wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A few problems but a good stay"
Very nice flat screens in bedroom and living room. Stove fridge kitchen table . Plenty room just kinda for from ocean dr and the main strip. Also room service leaves at night. They forgot to bring us toliet paper on the last day. If your looking for a apartment over just a hotel room this is perfect. Pots and pans for cooking also at room. Only problem […] is that if your trying to go to collins or ocean drive where most of the people are u have to check a cab or walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"just 2 blocks from beach"
This is a great, calm hideaway in easy walking distance to beach, bars, shopping, etc. Runners: The walk to the beach will take you directly to the beginning of the boardwalk, a great place for a morning jog (turn left). Or, turn right at the beach and walk along a nice path down to the action along south beach. Or, walk down Collins Road to Jerry's […] Famous Deli, open 24 hours. The hotel itself is very clean, a bit spare, but comfortable in a non-cluttered way. It is very convenient to have a kitchen available if you're staying for any length of time. I enjoyed my stay immensely and was pleasantly surprised to discover such a luxurious apartment at a hotel price! "Not for everyone ..."
Before you book here, you need to know a few things. On the positive side, it's clean and well located on the fringe of South Beach. Also, being young and impervious to noise, inconvenience, and indifferent staff is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, I am none of those things. Do not look for phones, clock radios, soft sheets, spacious bathrooms, or […] in-room movie channels: they are not there. What is there (at least in the one-bedroom I stayed in) is an adequate kitchen, trendy but functional furniture, and a location four blocks from the convention center and about two from a 24-hour Walgreens-with-everything. You might save a little money here, but don't look for quiet enjoyment. There isn't any. Oh ... and if you don't look like a model or weighlifter, you probably shouldn't hang out by the tiny pool. You'll definitely be out of place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A short walk to the beach and boardwalk. Parking is adjacent to the hotel and $20 a day-a bargain for South Beach. I wish the bathroom was brighter and bigger. It's just very small and dark. The room smells like a mixture of insecticide and mold. Maybe it's the Humidity? "Meticulous Bare Bones Apt. Hotel for Business"
What you see is what you get -- and if this is okay, you can't go wrong staying here. This is a plain vanilla but meticulously clean, quiet and well located apartment hotel just several long blocks north of the Miami Beach Convention Center. However, it is two short residential blocks to Collins Avenue and Ganesfoort Hotel, where cabs and buses abound. […] Buses are $2 exact change or bills. There is also a stop at 23rd between Pine Tree and Collins for the South Miami Beach Shuttle Bus (25 cents). I didn't have a car....check with hotel directly before you book. Parking is limited and seems problematic. Also, bring coffee, tea, and everything that goes with or purchase at Walgreens (23rd and Collins). There is no phone -- not an issue with cell phones. If you want an alarm clock, bring it. Otherwise, clean sheets, good towels and plenty of them, hair dryer, wi-fi, iron and ironing board, a radio/CD player, flat screen TV. Make sure you know the address -- easy to find, but cabs don't know the name, which can be an issue late at night coming in from the airport. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My wife and I went to Miami for our one year anniversary this year and we stayed at the tradewinds hotel. We were greeted by Bridget at the front desk. She is amazing and very caring. This hotel is poorly managed. I don't blame the employees, I blame the ownership. Clearly, these employees weren't trained properly. Not one thing went well during my stay at all. I tired it because I wanted to see if I could stumble upon a gem of a hotel, I was wrong!!! The room I had was nice but, not cleaned nor were the blankets etc., and the floor […] had hair that clearly wasnt mine all around the room. Plenty of bugs as well. Very dusty, etc., and just not a very well kept hotel. Smelled like bug spray had been used everyday in the room and halls. The rooms in terms of items in it were cool though. Had they trained the stafff better and kept the room clean, I would like it but, I have to say 1 out of 5 I give this hotel a 1 and thats cause the room set up is cool but, it wasnt clean and that is a no, no!!! "Tradewinds Hotel in North Beach - Worth the Dime!"
My stay at the Tradewinds Hotel in what I would easily classify as the North Beach portion or upper South Beach of the island was one of an exceptional experience. Although a bit hard to find at first due to an inaccurate GPS and a small sign, it was easily recalled later on when backtracking back to the room after taking in a local restaurant. The […] check-in process was easy and transparent. The entire structure is two-story, with no elevators and spans roughly half-a-block so it isn't too large or too laboring to get up or down. Strangely, the rear of the rooms point towards the street while the front points towards canal - this isn't a downside, however, as it creates a communal ambience with your neighboring tenants. The rooms keys vary, depending on the rooms you get. It appears that some of the rooms are still being modernized and not all have sliding key-card access, still requiring use of a metal, non-disposable key. My room already had this feature though, so I didn't encounter issues/delay with check-out. Although a bit pricy for the offering, the room was well maintained, clean and modern inside - you would not necessarily get this impression from the outside view, which is very 1960s-Miami. Regardless, I recommend a potential tenant give it a chance, stay at least a night and be surprised with the luxury of the room. Most of the furniture was very Modani-esque, but not too ultra-modern. It was split between the living area/kitchenette/bathroom and the bedroom/closet. Simple, elegant and functional. The space included two LCD televisions which were exceptionally clear, multiple lighting sources, a dining area nestled in the kitchen and even a full-sized refrigerator. The couch was excellent, but the bed was so much better for relaxation. Although the toilet/sink were very up-to-date in design, the shower/bathtub was less modern, but equally functional and efficient - I never once lost pressure or endured a lack of hot water. The only real downside to the Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful Hotel - Can't Wait to go back!!"
Wonderful South Beach Retreat... Tradewinds was just my style. The shuttle bus from the airport was a great touch. Comfortable and reliable. Check in was a breeze and the staff was great. Janet, one of the front desk staff was always amazing. Alex, who helped me to my room was personable, funny but professional all at the same time. One thing about […] Tradewinds that I admired, was the youthful staff, who not only met all of my expectations, but exceeded them in all instances. With regards to the Facilities, the room was spotless, modern and functional. Flat screen TV in living room and bedroom, appliances were great, and Alex pointed me to the nearby Walgreens to stock up and save some dinero. Bathroom was clean and refreshed i think twice during my one week stay. Free Internet was also convenient. Oh, the pool was also great. Honestly, the location of Tradewinds is what i appreciated the most. I was able to get away from the hype and craziness of South Beach, sort of like a little Oasis. In summary, Tradewinds was amazing, and i will be back in a few months bringing friends this time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Nice 1-bedroom apartment within a nice complex with a pool. Great service.
