"Schwer zu finden! Etwas abgelegen."
Response by Las Brisas Resort and Villas Hi Mikkel Thank you for taking the time to review your hotel. We are glad you found our pool refreshing, like so many of our visitors. We serve a daily continental breakfast that is free with the price of the room. We offer coffee, tea, juice, 5 different fresh fruits, homemade muffins, coffee cake, donuts and usually a hot item like french toast, pancakes or eggs and toast. We reguarly check the pricing at other hotels and keep our pricing in the low end for Jaco. While we keep our prices low we offer the best service we can for that price. While we are located closer to the jungle in Playa Hermosa, we offer free shuttle service to the beach to make the distance smaller.
El hotel es súper nuevo, la gente que lo atiende súper amable, pero tienen que ir en carro, porque queda muy incómodo el lugar, no tiene vista al mar,Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place for a wedding and a holiday."
01/09/15 565junior Gloucester, United Kingdom
This was our fourth visit to Las Brisas and we are very remiss in not having reviewed this wonderful hotel on our previous visits. The hotel rooms are very clean and well fitted, staff are friendly and attentive, breakfast is tasty and plentiful and the pristine pool is a wonderful place to cool off after a busy day. We have enjoyed our previous stays so much we chose Las Brisas for our wedding and 24 family members and friends arrived from Canada, London England, Miami, Germany and Jamaica to attend. The Las Brisas staff arranged everything for us from airport transfers, accommodation of family and friends at the hotel, providing the location and arrangements of the wedding breakfast and reception, the set up and arrangements for the ceremony at the Playa Hermosa beach and even our “get away beach buggy”. Most of the family and friends stayed on after the wedding to spend holiday time and again the Las Brisas staff helped arrange great trips for deep sea fishing, zip lining, horse riding and visits to the local National Parks and even just transport to Jaco the nearby town or to the local beach at Playa Hermosa. As a special present for our wedding the hotel management arranged a private day trip to Isla Tortuga on the hotel 32ft charter boat which was really generous of them. All in all we would highly recommend Costa Rica and Las Brisas for a short or long stay. We love it so much we are moving to Costa Rica permanently in February 2015.
"Las Brisas Dec 2014 - Jan 2015"
01/06/15 dougjohnson2015 Rochester, New York
My wife and I along with two (2) other couples spent the last of Dec 2014 and the first of Jan 2015 in the Casa Tucan at Las Brisas Resort and Villas near Jaco, Costa Rica. The three (3) bedroom free standing villa was more than roomy enough for all of us in the kitchen, living and dining room area. Being right next to the perfectly maintained pool was an added value. The grounds were beautiful. Racheal and John were very welcoming and helpful with things around the resort and booking tours from their office during our eight (8) day stay. Their staff worked hard evey day to keep things beautiful. The drive to Jaco, for sight seeing and needed general household items, was about 15 minutes on Route 34. The secondary dirt road to Las Brisas from Route 34 was a driving adventure every day. Thourghly enjoyed ourselves.
"Wonderful staff, great location tucked away from the beach"
11/24/14 Russell S Santa Ana, Costa Rica
This was such a find! It's about a 5-minute drive to Hermosa Beach and 15 minutes from Jaco Beach. It was very quiet at night. There are 8 rooms surrounding a medium-sized pool. The rooms are a great size for two, and they include a kitchenette area. The bathroom was wonderful -- especially the spacious shower. The free wifi worked great. It's a family-owned and -run business. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and absolutely OUTSTANDING for the price! They gave great recommendations for places to eat both at Hermosa and at Jaco. A late check-out until 2pm was no problem with no extra charge. Enjoy!

Las Brisas resort and villas and Playa Hermosa was our venue of choice for our wedding and it was definitely the right choice. The place itself is exactly what we wanted....the beach low key and natural - no stress or bother about rocking up with our guests and the celebrant and having a most wonderful ceremony on the beach with the surf as an amazing backdrop. The whole wedding was low stress and this is thanks to the staff and proprietors of Las Brisas who were just amazing taking the stress right out of the task of organising a wedding by providing excellent suggestions and help all along the way...we were thrilled with the flowers, photographer, make-up and hair artists etc etc - all services at our fingertips with the help of Las Brisas. We enjoyed a lovely wedding dinner outside under a canopy of exotic plants and flowers...the table and all arrangements were done by Las Brisas - brilliant! The food was to die for and came from a local restaurant but was supplemented by the amazing culinary efforts of Las Brisas staff. Our wedding guests absolutely loved Las Brisas - some were happy to stay around the hotel and beach, chilling out and lapping up the atmosphere and the lovely pool area....while others enjoyed one or more of the many trips and activities on offer. All in all I couldn't recommend Las Brisas more highly - I had a fantastic day - and a fantastic holiday - nothing was too much for the hotel staff who made us most welcome.. It was the holiday of a lifetime but in fact I'd like to repeat the experience every year!

Beautiful settings, clean pool, great junior suite with kitchenette. Rooms are spacy and well decorated. Everything seems new. The hotel is quiet and owners go out of their way to be helpful. They will drive you to different activities and restaurants for free and to Jaco for a small fare.Breakfast is included and offers excellent choices. Personnel is helpful and very nice. Tours can be planned from the hotel. $70. A night (tax and breakfast incl.) For a quiet out of town place, this hotel is a great choice. They offer WIFI and there are many activities to do in the area. Loved it.
"Totally loved this hotel"
Our stay here was fantastic. The owners were really helpful. Rooms are really pleasant. Pool lovely. Breakfast was great. This hotel made our holiday. It's in a super location close to jaco which has restaurants and shops. Also several lovely beaches.
"Why didn't the American owners tell us about the Scarlet Macaws on the Beach?"
10/12/14 Leslie W New Westminster, BC, Canada
We felt like we were bothering the American owners when we wanted to go to the beach. They seemed to know so little Spanish or knowledge of the local area - except one pizza place. In fact, we were SO disappointed to learn from other tourists on the day we left that Scarlet Macaws were frequenting the cashew trees on the beach at around 3 PM every afternoon! The room needed lots of maintenance - the shower pooled, the window shades didn't fully shut, there was a hole under the door for bugs to crawl through, one of the beds was very hard, etc. On the plus side, their breakfast buffet was exceptional. They even had Brazilian Coconut Tea! We heard toucans in the distance. The pool was pretty, but a little chilly compared to those further north (Guanacaste). Nearby Parc Carara is closed on Mondays. Otherwise, we saw macaws with black underbellies, flying high overhead there. It was a very warm, Amazonian rainforest. The hotel did direct us to a forest trail nearby their hotel. However, not only did we have to pass by a guard who only spoke Spanish, we encountered a fence warning us not to pass.
"Quiet, beautiful and comfortable"
10/11/14 katakeMontreal Montreal
We stayed here on our first night in Costa Rica. After a harrowing drive down Route 1, we found the hotel rather easily (ask for directions when you reserve!) and were immediately charmed by the beautiful setting. The rooms look out over the pool and rotunda area that is bursting with flowers, plants and birds. It was the rainy season (mid-September), so we ended up being the only guests. Our spacious room had air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a small kitchen area (fridge, sink, dishes), a queen-sized bed, a small table with chairs and some pretty funky toilet paper art. The breakfast (you select from several choices) was so filling that it held us over through all kinds of activities. The staff members were friendly and helpful and will set up tours for you if you're interested. This was a good base for exploring the area: it was a short drive to Jaco for a larger selection of restaurants (but I would NOT want to stay there... it's loud, bustling and has a certain unsavory element at night), you can visit the Parque Nacional Carara, the crocs in Rio Tarcoles, the various tour companies offering zip lines, horseback riding and hikes, and of course the surfing beaches on the coast.
"An Oasis in the Central Pacific Jaco Beach area"
09/19/14 SemperFidelis1775 San Jose, Costa Rica
The staff made us feel at home with excellent hospitality and friendly customer service. My wife & two teens stayed here during School breaks the previous two years and had a very positive experience both times. We stayed in a comfortable suite w/ kitchenette w/small fridge in front of the nice pool. In over 23 years of traveling all over Costa Rica and staying in hotels/condos with poor property management, I was surprised that everything in the rooms that we stayed was working properly, a rare thing for hotels/condos under $100 daily rates. The location is near the main coastal highway but far enough not to hear the noisy buses or tractor trailers that other hotels near the main road of Hermosa beach are exposed to. It is within walking/bike ride to playa Hermosa and restaurants. A short drive to Jaco beach & town. We enjoyed the free delicious breakfast that was scheduled during check-in and friendly conversation with Manager John & wife before heading to the beach. Some local restaurants have delivery service, Pizza, subs, wings which we enjoyed, the info was available in the room. Free Wi-Fi, Easy check in & out. Convenient & safe parking for vehicles with surfing boards and luggage. If we go back to the Jaco area We will stay here again! Pura Vida, Henry & Sandra, USMC Semper Fidelis!
"Close to beach and Jaco"

Nice place. Clean rooms and clean beds very well kept. Has a pretty nice pool and great lounge area. Also the room came with a good breakfast which was included in the price. Close enough to walk to the beach (10-15 min) need a vehicle or ride to get to jaco tho. I'd recommend it.
