Really enjoyed our stay. Treated like Kings from start to finish and the hotel is really beautiful. Loved the free wine tasting at 4 and the nightcap at 9!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Second-class treatment at first-class prices"

Man oh man, I wish I could assign five stars to Stephanie. But a dinner experience left a foul taste in our mouths. Let me first state that the rest of our two-night stay was good. Impeccably appointed and cleaned room, attentive hotel staff, beautiful location and views, nice afternoon wine service, pleasant breakfasts. And one night's dinner was perfect. But that second night! The evening started out badly when, on our arrival at the dining room, the maître d' showed us his one available table--next to his podium. The room was a madhouse, every table but one filled, staff frantically trying to keep up with service. We returned to our room at the maître d's suggestion to await a call when a decent table opened. I called the dining room after waiting 30 minutes and hearing nothing. A female voice told me a table was open and we could come back to the dining room. We wonder how long we'd have waited had I not called. After finally being seated, things went from bad to worse. Our server was non-present, absent, not there, gone, vamoosed. When we finally got someone's attention, our server was summoned. She assured me that she was aware of my dietary restrictions, which I'd provided to the hotel weeks ago. After such assurances, she immediately offered two types of bread, neither of which I could eat. On our first night, the restaurant DID have a nice bread that I could eat. On this second night I was offered a dry, tough, tasteless "gluten-free" option. I hate long reviews. So I'm gonna stop here. For a place that charges as much as Stephanie does, I expect far better than the second class treatment that I received. Our second night's meal got only slightly better as the night wore on, and we ended up spending way too much time enjoying way too little.

We were staying with friends in Portland who recommended a visit to Cannon Beach and the Stephanie Inn. We could not have been more pleased with our experience at this beautiful hotel. Having lived in New England, the property reminded me of the stately inns and homes on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. We had a first floor room with a patio where the view of the beach was spectacular. The service was exceptional, and the breakfast in the dining room was first class. My favorites were eggs benedict and the scones that were readily available. I loved the robe that the hotel provided so much that I purchased one to take home.

We spent three nights at the Stephanie Inn in a second floor oceanfront room. Our stay was nothing short of fabulous! First, the view of the beach and the beach itself are stellar. It is all sandy, but so easy to walk on. We slept with the sliding door open a bit every night so that we could hear the sound of the ocean. The balcony was small, but just right for two people to sit on. It is covered, which gives it a bit of a sheltered feel. The gas fireplace made it cozy since we had some cool days. Our room was beautiful and housekeeping did an excellent job -- there was never anything that was missed. We especially enjoyed our bellhops, John and Jeff, who also served us by pouring at the wine hour and port hour. It is such a wonderful treat before and after dinner to have those drinks available, and the library room where they are served has quite a view out the windows. We received lovely service from Sydney at the front desk when we checked in. And we had an excellent wine/food pairing session with Dan, the sommelier. The inn offers sessions you can sign up for to learn more about food and wine -- one day they had one where you could learn about making vinaigrettes, which we did not attend. But if you have the opportunity during your stay, I would recommend choosing one of their sessions. The dining room staff was very attentive -- we were greeted by Jesus's smiling face more than once. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delish! Some people have mentioned in reviews their disappointment that the dining room did not face out to the ocean, but we thought the dining room was very lovely. I am sure that the inn was built to maximize the number of rooms that could face the water -- I would much rather enjoy the view from my balcony than from the dining room. And room service is a great way to go if you arrive after many hours of traveling like we did and just want to sit in your room to eat quietly and look out to the ocean. I could go on and on about this place -- and Cannon Beach is a charming town, so one could really be happy spending time there. We have stayed at many fine inns and B&Bs in a number of different states, and Stephanie Inn ranks at the top.
"Beautiful beach property with great views"
This wonderful property sits right on the beach with great views of Haystack Rock from your balcony. The rooms are very nice comfortable rooms. The service here is great! I think they must only hire people with upbeat attitudes and permanent smiles. The dining room here is great as well for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a wonderful buffet with menu items changing daily. The dinner menus are also excellent and change weekly. Prior to dinner the lounge hosts a free happy hour and after dinner a free cordial session. Coffee is available, self serve, 24 hours a day along with tea, scones, muffins, cookies, and lemonade. This is just a great place to stay,
"Ideal Hotel on Oregon Coast"

Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach turned out to be an ideal choice for our trip to the Oregon Coast. We stayed in a suite in the Carriage House next to the main building. We had unbelievable views of the beach, ocean and the Haystack Rocks. The room rate included a bountiful breakfast, wine tasting and evening cocktails. We also had fresh cookies delivered to our room each night. We recommend Stephanie Inn to any couple planning a trip to this area.
"Absolutely THE best place we have ever stayed"

All I can say is Detail, detail, detail! They pay attention to every detail! Wonderful place but very spendy. Is it worth it? YES! Not a place we would go to once a month because it is not cheap, but if you have a special occasion, I would highly recommend shelling out the money for this place. Absolute ocean front! They have an evening wine tasting and also a "nightcap" time with top notch liquors all complementary. Also, 5 star breakfast complementery and chocolate chip cookies around the clock!! The staff is the best!!
"Just Keep Getting Better"

Wonderful, quiet, unpretentious, quality place to stay just south of Cannon Beach. Food was excellent, waiters particularly attentive, and their breakfasts were wonderful. All the little things they do stand them apart from everyone else ... cookies, taffy, wine & beer tasting, car washes, teddy bears on the bed! Our room had a fireplace (gas), a deck on the ocean side and a hot tub in the room. Extensive parking available and a shuttle service into Cannon Beach. All in all a great place to stay. This was not our first stay and it won't be our last!
"You will love Stephanie Inn"

I am so glad that we found Stephanie Inn on Trip advisor when we were heading to the Oregon Coast. This was our first visit to the Inn. From the moment that we made reservations at the Inn they have been wonderful to us. When we checked in they showed us around the property and to our room. Most of the rooms have beautiful views of the Ocean and some have beautiful views of the mountains. We actually stayed in a Ocean view room but would be happy to stay in a mountain view room at our next visit. Stephanie Inn serves a wonderful breakfast each morning. They have fresh orange juice, tomato juice, grapefruit juice, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and lemonade. Each morning was a treat to eat breakfast. They always have some egg dishes and meat dishes along with oatmeal and granola. They also have fresh fruit such as strawberries and cantaloupe. I enjoyed their fresh breads and a special treat that they served for breakfast. While we were there they had a s'more cookie, little cinnamon rolls, and an apple tart. How can your day go wrong with a breakfast like that. The beach that the property sits on is so beautiful. The beach is very clean and no dog poop on it. At mid day they serve you wine but since we don't drink they had a fabulous cider that we drank. At bedtime they serve drinks again with a nuts. They had lemonade throughout the day along with cookies and scones. I can't wait to go again. The room we stayed in was very clean each day. :) It makes me happy just thinking about Stephanie Inn.

Exquisite Inn! Spent 3 glorious days at this amazing Inn. From the minute we arrived, the service and every staff person catered to our every need. Our room had been booked in the Carriage House Ocean suite...a friend had decided to make the trip and was in the main building so we switched our room into the main building to be near. Beautiful ocean front room deluxe king room. Breakfast is included - fresh fresh fruit, a beautiful selection of every breakfast food and pastry imaginable. And, the prix fixe chef's dinner selection with wine pairing, unforgettable! Complimentary wine tasting each evening and after dinner drinks later each evening. Cannot wait to return for a longer stay. Special thanks to Mary!
"STEPHAIEIE INN NOT FAIR TO SOME WITH DISABILITIES"

Subject: Stephanie Inn Location: Cannon Beach, Oregon, United States, North America Title: STEPHAIEIE INN NOT FAIR TO SOME WITH DISABILITIES ID#: 207151852 I attempted to reserve a two day stay at this inn for August 2014. In the comments I notified the inn that I have an emotional support dog, with full Psychiatric verification. By law it is not necessary for anyone to pre-notify any landlord of a disability or animal accompanying them. The Inn has refused my reservation on the the grounds that any psychiatric animal does not fall under the Disability statute...which is absolutely not true, They also asked me at the front desk via phone what my disability was, this is also illegal. They might be interested in the fact that I was raped in a four star hotel three years ago, and am unable to stay at any hotel without a dog that will bark if anyone enters my room or a stranger even attempts entry. I am disgusted with such a rural and close minded approach from an inn that preporates to be of quality. They should probably check out the American Disabilities act, along with other federal laws. :
