The Palms was very nice. Our view of the ocean was beautiful, and we enjoyed the patio with hammocks that was on the oceanfront. Excellent hote on the beach. The office staff was quick to attend to any of our needs or questions, arranging tours and dives. Internet , TV worked well. We just returned from our third trip to Belize and our third stay at The Palms. We keep returning to The Palms because it is a perfect location (quick walk to the airport and San Pedro town, and right on the beach), it is quiet, it is extremely comfortable, has a gorgeous pool surrounded by tropical trees and plants, and the grounds are well maintained […] by a caring, genuinely friendly staff. Getting out and about: The hotel has several bikes that you can borrow to explore the island (perfect for riding up and down the beach), and the staff are happy to arrange snorkeling / diving excursions for you. We went on the Bacalar Chico tour and it was fantastic! We saw manatees and dolphins before our first snorkeling stop. And the beach BBQ was delicious. A fun time all around Local food and drink picks: Make sure to try Wild Mango's (a few minutes' walk up the beach) for lunch or dinner. Also, bring home a bottle of the local rum (1-Barrel Rum) so you can pretend you're back in Belize until you get back for real. Read more

Best location - literally steps from the puddle-jumper airport, right in town, close to best restaurants, not far from ferry pier, rooms open up to beautiful beach. The entire facility is immaculate, the staff is helpful and friendly, they will organize your trips and tours and get carts for you and all outfitters will pick you up from the pier right […] out front. We enjoyed our first time to Belize and loved the simple charm of Ambergris Caye, and our oceanfront suite. The weather and people were pleasant, and we loved being able to walk right out to our dock to meet our guide for a fishing trip.

Great views and location yet not as busy and crowded as some of the larger resorts on the Caye. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable. There was even a 5 gal. filtered water dispenser that was complimentary.

This is a wonderful hotel, with excellent workers who are there to help. From Toby, who picked me up from the water taxi dock in a golf cart, to the office workers, Anna & Jo. I used the complimentary bike to go all over the island, much better than a golf cart. I went to docks for fresh fish, to the grocery store for supplies then stopped at the fruit […] stand across from the hotel for fresh fruit (wonderful Honduran man). I returned my hotel & made one of the best meals of my life. It even had a high-speed blender, in my fully equiped kitchen, to make fresh fruit smoothies everyday. Anna was great when I decided to go over to Guatemala & experience some Mayan ruins. I did not want to take public buses, I never do when I travel alone in unfamiliar places (even in the states), so she set me up from begining to end. My room was comfortable & very clean, thanks to my great housekeeper,Rosa. Security was the highest, the most important issue for me as a lone female traveler. My wife and I are divers and stayed at the Palms and dove next door with Roman's. We've traveled quite a bit of the Caribbean and are always looking for that "one place" that we can return to and maybe even retire. This place was most likely it. You can't beat the location. 5-10 minute boat ride to dozens of world class dive sites and walking distance […] to everything you need in San Pedro. The rooms are very quiet and setup so even if people are hanging out on the balcony or patio's late at night partying, we couldn't hear anything in our bedroom. The staff is amazing and took care of everything for us (plane transfers to and from Belize City, letting Roman's know we were divers, etc.) Another great thing about this location is it is literally across the street and down a couple blocks from the airport. We walked to our room once we got off the plane. And don't worry about airport noise, (actually it's an air "strip") as their prop planes and we didn't notice the noise at all. Actually we sort of liked hearing them take off and leave but only remember noticing it a couple of times the entire week. We enjoyed eating at Estel's by the sea for breakfast / lunch and next door at Roman's for dinner. Read more
