"Nice Boutique Hotel, not the location"
Loved the Hotel but neighborhood was difficult to navigate by car as it was off Flushing Ave in Brooklyn, next to a school. Took 45 minutes to get around the corner. wouldn't want to walk at night either.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Condor Hotel Hi! I am so happy you loved the neighborhood and enjoyed your stay with us. Driving during rush hour in NYC can definitely be tough. Next time you come let us pull up the best route for you so you don't sit in traffic. As you can read in previous reviews, our area is extremely safe to walk around in. Hope to see you again, David
"Boutique Williamsburg hotel"
Interesting location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Nice boutique hotel within walking distance of subway and other areas. A little pricey, but that may have been the result of last-minute booking.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Off the beaten path"
IF you like a secluded, quiet, hotel, this is for you, in a safe neighborhood, low noise, no activity, mostly people walking. I was surprised how quiet it was in the morning. Not a lot of traffic and honking car horns.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Condor Hotel Hi! Thank you for staying with us on your recent trip to NYC. You hit the nail on the head with your review. With extremely easy access to Manhattan (right over the bridge) and to all parts of Brooklyn we maintain what is very unique: an actual quiet NYC neighborhood! Come back again soon, David

Response by Condor Hotel Hi Dr. I am glad your stay with us was 5 star. I hope you are enjoying being back at home in Latham, New York. Be sure to give us a ring sometime to let us know how things are going since your big conference out here! Looking forward, David Margolies General Manager
"nice hotel in an unusual neighborhood."
The room was very nice, the bed comfortable and we really appreciated having the mini fridge and the microwave. Our bathroom sink faucet was a little loose but it didn't really affect our stay. Both the front desk managers were very friendly and helpful and made our stay easier. The biggest issue was that there is very little in the immediate area so […] we had to take cabs or walk. It's not a long walk to other things, but something to mention (we don't mind walking a mile or two or three but if you do this could be a problem). Also it's in a Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, which is a little strange but certainly we never felt unsafe. Next time we'll know to take a cab to the hotel and be ready to take cabs to other areas. We'd return again because it was a nice hotel at a reasonable price for New York. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good place to stay ... Front desk people very nice, clean room....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great continental breakfast and friendly staff. Convenient by car as it's right off the BQE--not as good by subway. Neighborhood is safe, but doesn't offer much.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We loved it!"
We were so impressed with the staff, the were so helpful and kind. The next time we visit, we will stay there again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"near Williamsburg and easy travel to Manhattan"
Great location and a great staff there to assist. Andrew was on staff and always there to assist. Will stay there upon our return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"GREAT HOTEL!!! GREAT SERVICE!!!"
GREAT HOTEL!!! GREAT SERVICE!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We thought the rooms were fine - very clean and had everything we needed. Just 2 suggestions: The twin beds are very short. In the bathroom it would help to have a little more counter space or a cover over the toilet to put your toiletries on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel! Decent rates"
Everything was beyond great with the Condor Hotel. The only drawback was location: It is a bit of a walk from the nearest subway (20 minutes). It only felt longer because we traveled during a freezing nor’easter. But the large warm room and massive king size bed made up for the harsh weather. Over all, this was a great stay at a decent price! I would […] recommend this for couples and the hipster looking to be near Williamsburg. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for seasoned travelers"
This hotel is clean, comfortable and has a nice, complimentary continental breakfast. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I stayed there while moving out of a nearby storage unit, and there was secure parking for my truck across the street for about $20. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends familiar with New York and those who […] do not mind a bit of an adventure navigating public transportation into the city. For families visiting the city for the first time, I would recommend staying in Manhattan for accessibility and efficiency. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous hotel - ok area"
I absolutely loved the hotel. I was surprised at the area it was in. I imagined it would be in more of a posh area. In summary, A+ hotel, in a c+ area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have no complaints at all, my room and the service were great. One thing to consider about the neighborhood is that the hotel seems to be in the middle of an orthodox jewish community, so, when you walk around you will inevitably going to stick out, but, at the same time, I felt that because they are so close to each other, they make the area a very […] safe place for their families, so you can walk around at night and you feel safe too. "Quaint hotel in Williamsburg"
If you don't want to pay Manhattan prices and like riding the subway, the Condor Hotel is a great choice for your trip to New York. The hotel is quaint, clean, affordable, and just a jaunt to anywhere on the subway. No flashy amenities or prizewinning views, but if all you care about is being able to lay your head down on a clean pillow for the night, […] you and your wallet will be happy here. The Condor is located in the Hasidic area of Williamsburg, which is much like another country altogether - really fascinating neighborhood. During the day there's a lot of activity - shops open, schoolchildren walking around, etc. I got back to the area at about 1:30 a.m. after a concert in Chelsea and the area was quiet, but I didn't feel unsafe. I got a room on the first floor right behind the reception desk, and I thought it would be noisy, but I had no issues. The free breakfast was simple but nice - croissants, cereal, waffles, juice, coffee, etc. The staff was friendly. Only two gripes: 1) The hot water gave out after about 5-10 minutes. So much for a long, hot shower on a cold night! 2) The picture on the TV was grainy. I'm not much for TV, so I didn't care, but if that's your thing you'll probably be calling the reception desk. Overall a great place in a nice part of Brooklyn. A good step up for backpackers who are sick of hostels, families on a budget, or those just turned off by the glitz/Disneyworld-ness of Manhattan. Stay at the Condor! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Breakfast was adequate and the convenience of getting a cab immediately upon asking was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful hotel, in a less than ideal neighborhood"
This was the best hotel we've ever stayed at on many accounts, like service and cleanliness. It looked exquisite from the outside based on pictures we saw and the rooms looked very elegant. Upon arrival, we realized why it ended up being so cheap for so much, it's not exactly in the nicest and cleanest of neighborhoods. Being an ultra-Orthodox Jewish […] ghetto, it is not the wealthiest of areas, but it is still a pretty safe neighborhood, probably safer than many parts of Manhattan. There's a bit of a walk to the nearest metro (about 10/15 minutes), which we had to make in the middle of the night when returning from Manhattan, but at no point did we ever worry for our safety. Manhattan is about a 22 minute metro ride from the local station. If you're coming to NYC to stay on a budget and are willing to spend an hour each day for travel while staying at a very nice hotel, this is the place for you. A hotel of this quality in the middle of Manhattan would cost you twice if not three times as much--maybe even four times, depending on area! The staff is extremely accommodating, approachable, and knowledgeable of places to see/eat at. Overall, a very pleasant stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The condor was clean and on the inexpensive side, but the room was next to the hotel entrance so it was noisy. Also, there was no counter space in the bathroom and nothing nearby in the neighborhood. A good basic- no frills place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Condor Hotel was wonderful. The man at the front desk even called to another hotel for a friend because the hotel had filled up quickly and there were no open rooms. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Brooklyn area. The staff goes above and beyond and it was a smooth check-in/check-out process. Awesome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is away from all the traditional attractions. There is also something very wrong with the duvets there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I've stayed at the Hotel Condor several times and have always been pleased. It's a nice little boutique hotel in Brooklyn, which might seem far typically but we always have a car and are generally on business. The beds are super comfortable, there's free parking on the street, and they serve a free continental breakfast each morning. I would definitely […] recommend it for the price. "Great place, if you don't want to go outside."
The Condor is a good hotel, and if it were in another neighborhood with, say, commerce of any sort, it would be a great hotel for the money. Granted, we got to the hotel late in the evening, but we needed a simple cash machine which took us 20 minutes to find as the entire neighborhood is shut down at night. Kind of a drag. All that being said, the […] Condor staff was great, and the room was really nice and clean. Ta da. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"diamond in the rough..."
Don't let the neighborhood male you think this isn't a suprisingly modern and well kept hotel. Continental breakfast was a wonderful plus. A car service was readily available to the hotel and there in a few minutes after calling for it. The Condor Hotel was a definite gem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel in Brooklyn"
My sister and I were in NY for a concert at the Barclays Center, and this hotel is no more than two miles from there. Our stay was very pleasant as the staff was very helpful and very polite. We found the room to be very clean, clean to the point where the linens and towels not only appeared clean, but smelled fresh. The gentlemen sitting at the front […] desk answered all our questions about the best way to get around town, where to eat, where to go, and even informed us that a car service might be cheaper than the cabs out in streets (in which was true). I can honestly say I don’t not have a single complaint about the Condor. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if ever in Brooklyn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was good in the hotel - they even gave us an upgraded room. The only shortcoming was that nothing was really in close walking distance; however, the staff would get you a taxi immediately.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In the middle of a less then impressive neighborhood. Parking situation is inconvenient to say the least. At $19 to park they should at least make it easy. Room itself was nice, but you need to sacrifice service and be willing to stay in an inconvenient area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Condor Hotel Dear Guest, I am very disappointed that you didn't experience what all of our other guests experience and that is a 5 star stay. Regarding our parking, many guests find free parking just across the street from our hotel. However if you want a more secure parking arrangement we offer a gated lot (also across the street) that is $17.21 plus tax and allows for unlimited in and out privileges for your entire stay. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all feedback very seriously even if we don't have control of every aspect of it. David Margolies General Manager Condor Hotel
"Great hotel for its price"
The hotel exceeded my expectations, the room feels looks and feels like a 4 star hotel. and the staff was friendly. The hotel is limited to rooms only so don't expect to find a bar/pool or gym. It is a very nive place to spend a couple of nights.Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to office"
Within 1 mile of my office so I walked and avoided any parking fees. Rooms were a little small but I got a corner room with fridge and xtra sink so it was good. Hotel and rooms were clean. Only had to walk a few blocks (felt very safe even by myself) to Myrtle where all the restaurants were. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the Price"
Excellent hotel. Location was in the middle of nowhere. Have to do a lot of walking, or trying to tell your cab driver where it is.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun clean fancy not overpriced"
this hotel is really nice.!!! we had so much fun staying there. the bathrooms and bed were so comfortable and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location of the hotel scared me a bit at first but my friends (all girls) and i walked to and from the subway station plenty of times and not once did we feel it was unsafe. The staff is definitely what made our stay ten times better. They all had wonderful personalities and helped us with anything we neede always with a smile :)Genuine Expedia guest review

For the price of the hotel and the location I thought the hotel was fantastic. They were super accommodating and welcoming. It's a great stay for couples and students visiting the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"it has everything the website says"
The beds are comfy, but wish they were queen... The view on balcony sucks. The waffles for breakfast are sooo good! A Lil pricy to not have a gym or pool... The TV was small... Close to Manhattan... I would stay again if I could catch a dealGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"O.K. BUT NOT FOR LONG TERM STAY"
BEDS ARE VERY SMALL, TWIN SIZE, NO TOP SHEET, JUST COMFORTER. AWAKENED BY FRONT DESK AT 2:30 AM FOR "EXCESSIVE NOISE" WHEN IT WAS A TOP FLOOR ROOM DISTURBING GUEST. ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN, NEW, MODERN BUILDING. SUGGEST NO MORE THAN 2 GUEST PER ROOM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for business travel"
Convenient and comfortable this is my second stay and I would't hesitate to stay there again if my job takes me to the area again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"frantastic hotel/inconvenient location"
The hotel and the staff couldn't have been better. The hotel was immaculate, modern with all conveniences. The staff was the best. "Nice place to sleep..."
We stayed on the first floor and we heard everyone that checked into the hotel that talked or wore heels/nice shoes. The staff was very nice and friendly and the hotel was very clean. The double beds were actually double beds, they only fit one person and we should have reserved a king bed. I also got a parking ticket for parking on the street on Thursday […] night/Friday morning for street cleaning - the signs were not easy to read... The Mezuzah's on every door of the hotel was a first - not a bad thing at all. Overall, the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. "Great hotel, not so great location"
If you know it going in, you are more prepared for waiting, walking, and subway. This tiny hotel had a charming up to date room with modern finishes and energy saving fixtures. Probably wouldn't return for a business trip, but would be a great out of the way spot to stay on personal budget. Nice but far, so plan ahead!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The economics place to stay"
This hotel not far from airport, close to subway station and breakfast include, we don't need to hurried during the morning, also we can cook simple meal if we like. We like this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

The service was good, neighborhood ok - far from the subway and a little inconvenient. No hot water in the shower was an inconvenience in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good base for seeing Brooklyn sights"
Pleasant enough - Not exceptional value. Nonetheless, room was clean and well appointed. Convenient to have small kitchen facility in room. However, complementary inroon coffee was abysmal - guests should consider bringing own.Genuine Expedia guest review
My room wasn't ready for us at 3 PM check in, and I had to wait 30 minutes for the room to get prepared because they had been sold out. A bottle of water was offered to me, which is nice, but doesn't really compensate. They claimed that I received a $20 discount, but I haven't seen my credit card statement yet. It took multiple requests to find out […] about the status. I had a ground floor patio room with a patio door that was very difficult to lock without help from the hotel staff. It's a good location and price, but I think that management is making a mistake to leave a visitor with this experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Condor Hotel Dear Guest, All of our guests deserve a 5 star stay and I am very disappointed that you didn't experience this. It seems that your 30 minute delayed check-in was an isolated incident. However this does not make up for your understandable frusteration. Regarding the refund, because you did not book directly, it can take a bit longer for you to see the refund reflect on your credit card statement. This is because we refund Expedia and Expedia refunds you. Our balcony doors are of the highest and securest quality. I am sorry that you struggled with locking it. We would love to have you join us again so that we can make it up to you. Please feel free to contact me directly. David Margolies General Manager Condor Hotel

"Not coming back"
For the price I paid, the free breakfast was very disappointing. Choice of basic cereals, store-bought muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, juice, apples, oranges. Really, that's it? For 4 days? Too bad for me there were no good restaurants closeby to get a decent breakfast. Nearest subway station was a long 15-20 min. walk. I would give credit to the friendly […] staff though.
