"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This little hotel has location, location, location! It is less than 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, & Tempolo Adriano. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Coliseum, the Forum, and Vittoria Emmanuelle, around 25-30 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, and a half hour from the Vatican. Seconds away from the main artery Via Del Corso, you can’t get a better location for a more reasonable price. The front desk staff is wonderful and Tomosso in particular will not hesitate to recommend the best restaurants and tell you how to get to all the sites within Rome. He recommended fabulous restaurants and mapped out a walkable itinerary of sites daily for us. If you don’t care to walk, the hop on hop off bus is two minutes away. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5th floor outside deck with a panoramic view which is used for breakfast in the morning and a possible night cap at night. What a way to start and end a day. It was beyond gorgeous and really a delightful highlight to a memorable stay in Rome. The rooms are big enough to accommodate two easily and are clean and neat. The only difficulty I encountered was that I was unable to connect to Wi-Fi but instead used the downstairs computer. Some of the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by a short stairway which is difficult with heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.
"Would stay there again"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Had a great experience. Our triple room was clean and bed very comfortable, including pillows. 40 inch hd tv with all the sky channels with the options to switch to English language. Filled a form with time and choices for breakfast . Arrived on time and plenty of food. ( Italian style breakfast) . Front desk nice and helpful. Near American embassy, hard rock cafe' , villa borghese park( very nice!) . Would stay there again and reccomand it to friends and family

Room was so small that we could barely walk around the bed and there were no drawers in which to put clothes. The buffet breakfast, however, was outstanding and the location very convenient. Front desk staff could be friendlier. The room was much smaller than the photo for that level of accommodation

"Camping Village Roma, Rome Italy"
Service and support provided by Daniele (gentleman) was outstanding!! They're lucky to have him at the entrance/ check-in-point of Camping Village Roma. Nice security gentleman was also a big help when we had to check out early on our last day for departure back home. The camping village is a development tract with trailer/ type manufactured housing. […] While the housing is a bit on the small side, the units are clean, separate from the other units, the location was convenient, service at front desk very helpful, and bus stop right next to hotel. Daniele can provide a "basic" map of the bus and metro routes. Camping Village Roma also provides bus service to Rome to see some of the sights at a minor cost. They also have a laundry facility that, while we thought it was expensive (4 Euro per wash, includes soap and 3.5 Euro for 45 minutes drying), turned out to be the cheapest laundry we did while in Italy!! The main convenience of Camping Village Roma for us was they were able to accommodate five of us (family) in a single unit. We will stay there again if the whole family travels. "just about perfect for us"
This place was great for our family of 5. We rented a chalet which came with two separate bedrooms, two baths and a kitchen. We had a great time. The staff was extremely helpful. The location was not bad. The bus stop was right outside the campground with a short ride to the metro. Getting into town was no problem. If we could have fit into one hotel […] room we probably would have preferred to stay in the center, but for our family this was by far the best option. Read more
"A welcome change of pace"
Camping Village Roma was one of the best properties we stayed at the whole month we were in Europe. I am in my mid-50's and was traveling with my 18 yr. old son and a 23 yr. old member of the family. We all enjoyed our stay here. Although a ways "out of the way" from the sights everyone wants to see in Rome, it was a welcome change of pace to be away […] from the crowds, the noise and the concrete that is Rome. It felt like getting out into the country a bit even though the property is still very much in the city. The shared wall between units may be a bit thin, generally, it posed no particular problem. The grocery store on sight is very adequate but the grocery store across the street is excellent. The front office staff were very helpful. And even though there is a sign at check-in that says it is a cashless facility they just haven't taken the sign down. The designers of this facility have thought of most everything. I would highly recommend it. Read more
A little out of Rome but super easy to get to via public transport. We stayed in a 3 person bungalow, small but clean and tidy, great shower. Would definitely recommend to stay here if on a budget, great value for money!
"nice and quiet"
very good and cheap place to stay. being cheap doesnt change the quality, everything was very good. simply take a shuttle bus from terravision or sitbus and reach termini and then take metro B till cornelia and then take bus 246, it stops right in front of the hotel. best part is that there is a very good supermarket in front of this hotel. they sell […] cheap and tasty pizza etc :) Read more
"Rome Camping Village...great price for 4 nights"
Camping Village is little bit far from Termini (City), but we got a very special offer for 4 nights, room is clean, with tower, shower water is good, no one clean your room, overall is good. Transport may be a problem at first day, afterwards is fine. From airport take the bus to Rome Termini, 1 euro to buy a metro ticket for 75 min free for metro and […] bus, take metro to Capri station (the bus terminus for bus no 247 ) take the bus 247 and ask driver to remind you to get to Camping Village is ok. Bus 247 is more convenice. Read more

Read more
"Glimrende"
"no calefaccionado"

Read more
