Traveled with two little kids. The staff is professional, courteous and prompt. The facility is 10 minutes walking distance from La Rambla. Though it seems to be surrounded near residential area, it has a small cafe right next doors, a supermarket Lidel around the corner for immediate needs. I have only praise about this property.

Room was clean and modern. This hotel is around a 10 minute walk from the Rambla’s and around 20 minutes from magic fountain. We were able to get to both easily with the map and directions provided by the front desk. I highly recommend the magic fountain show at night. If you are getting on a cruise I would not recommend walking to the ship as the cruise […] terminals are a long way inside the port area; however there is a bus service that we were able to pick up from just behind the Columbus monument, more on the port side. Don’t confuse it with the hop on hop offs it seemed to only run when the cruise ships were boarding passengers. The port of Barcelona website has more information… As for the area my wife felt a little uneasy about parts of the surrounding neighborhood but I thought it was ok and we walked back from several events at all times of the day and as late as 11pm at night. Aside from wrongful information about getting a airport shuttle and broken promise of getting a non-street facing room hotel was very nice. Walking distance is 10 min to Ramblas and rooms a modern and comfortable. The Spa and Gym downstairs was too hot and poorly ventilated for attractive use. Liked the little bakrey next door. Would go back.

Although I really enjoyed the hotel, I think I would stay in a different area of the city next time. We ended up walking alot to find restaurants with which we felt comfortable (e.g. La Rambla area). The one time that we ate closer to our hotel.... we had a very disappointing meal. Stay here if you must, but you can probably do better with your money at the other Barcelona neighborhoods. While the room was large and does look nice & contemporary, the service & amenities were subpar. Their internet service was out during the 3 nights we stayed, so that was a HUGE bummer. Inside the room, everything looked nice at first glance, […] but if you look closer, everything is pretty cheap looking. We had a lot of issues adjusting the temperature in our room due to a weird/faulty controller, and the phone doesn't work. Perhaps it's the language barrier, but the hotel staff didn't seem to care too much about the problems we had either. In terms of the location, it's ok. It's about 5 - 8 blocks away from the lower stretch of La Rambla, but the neighborhood could get a tiny bit sketchy. However, everything is within walking distance, and the subway/metro was only a few blocks away. If you do stay here, you won't have any issues getting around the city. Read more

To start with, in fairness, the room was clean and as described. While only 75F (24C) outside the room was very uncomfortable despite the air conditioning on the highest setting. Unfortunately for my wife, young son, and I, having traveled overnight from the US with little sleep we were subjected to a music concert on the closed off street right in […] front of the hotel until 2AM! The hotel staff lied about the concert and at the very least could have put us on the back side of the hotel where it may have been less noisy. The hotel management could have taken steps to prevent having this small but loud concert outside of the hotel and should have informed potential guests of this event ahead of time so we could have chosen to stay elsewhere. Also be aware the facilities (pool, suana, etc.) were not included in the room price and they store luggage in a public unsecured area not monitored by hotel staff. This stay was torture for our family and ruined our remaining day in Barcelona as we were exhausted. At a minimum I expect a hotel to provide clean, safe, and reasonably quiet accomodations conducive for rest and apart from the room being clean they failed miserably and didn't seem to care in the least. We hesitated before booking it but our bet paid off and we are so happy we stayed at the Grum. What was deterring us was the description of a shared bathroom...it made little sense in a 4*hotel but best to be sure. We called the hotel and indeed the bathrooms are private in your room. We stayed from the 20th March and that was their 3rd week of operating. […] Everything is brand new and super modern. The bed was so comfortable, the room had many different light fixtures. The best must have been the spa&pool with many jetstream features. The sauna and steam room were excellent. The hotel is just half a block under Montjuic so it's a nice walk up through the park to the cable car. You can easily spend one day on the mountain. The neighbourhood is residential but the main nearby street Av Paral.lel has quite a few restaurants. Even though it's not in the touristy center we walked from La Rambla in a short time(about 1km). Great location, very clean and modern hotel. Staff were friendly, the spa facilities were a nice treat and the breakfast selection was good. Only minor issues: the hotel doesnt stock spare towels, a service door banged constantly near our room which woke us up each morning and our room was a little cramped.

Très bel hotel a 10 min des ramblas et proche du mont juic, calme. Cafe a proximité pour le petit déjeuner car cher a l hotel(11euro), espace bar tres sympa. A noter que Le Spa qui devait apparemment être inclus ne l était pas (9 euros). En tous cas très bon séjour Barcelone est magnifique !
