We had a terrific, large suite with a well-appointed kitchen. The room was clean and the facility seemed very new. Everything worked. There was a shuttle to DC and it only took about 10-15 minutes to drive there. However, i would hesitate about staying here again. The pool was a major attraction for my kids given that we traveled in the winter. The […] indoor pool was closed for most of our stay. I was a little put off by what I originally thought was "complimentary" coffee in the lobby in that it was clear I was expected to donate a dollar for a local cause for the coffee. Although the charity may have been a good one, I felt a little "nickled and dimed" by that point. I left thinking that this was not a great value for the money spent. Read more

The hotel was great if you are stayiong for few days or more, and especially if you have kids. The rooms are very quiet, so you don't know if the hotel is filled with families, but it is also very convenient, also. There were lots if things for kids to do, including an indoor pool. I can't say enough great things about my stay at this hotel. It was great. I invited friends over while I was in town and I was able to accommadate the visits well. The only problem was the management of the St. George parking deck. Their staff was rude and unfriendly. I was in National Harbor for a conference at Gaylord, and was late in registering so had to find an alternate hotel. Ended up at Wyndam resorts, in a two bedroom condo. Location was great -- easy walk to Gaylord, restaurant area and water taxi. Spaciousness of the room was excellent. EVerything in the room looked new and all systems were in working order. Even though the hotel was booked to capacity, I coudln't hear external noises - very well sound-proofed.

The hotel and area are superb! The restaurants were wonderful and a farmer's market was in full swing the weekend we were there, the band was great! The shopping was ok, they had a few good stores but for a group of girls looking to buy clothes and shoes, it just didn't have what we wanted! Stayed for a family vacation week during a business conference in National Harbor. The Wyndham 2-bedroom suite was fine. It's ice to have a kitchen when travelling with family. My only complaint is the small pool that really isn't big enough to swim in. The National Harbor location is absolutely terrible. It is not served by rapid transit (except a […] bus), and is not convenient to DC tourist sites. All the restaurants in National Harbor are awful, overpriced, bad service, and bad food. There is nothing to do in National Harbor except leave for DC or Alexandria... why not stay there instead? Read more

And as soon as you get there, they hammer you about a time to hear their sale pitch. There is also no room clean-up daily and you only get more towels if you call. Also, no ice makers on the floor and they have the ice makers turned off in the rooms when you arrive.

The National Harbor location is great...close to DC and Alexandria, but still with plenty of restaurants, a local grocer, local coffee shop and other specialty shopping. The hotel staff was wonderful and the rooms were larger than std hotel rooms w full kitchen. We travel a lot with our kids (7 and 4) and would highly recommend the location for a family. […] The only very minor complaint was the hot tub wouldn't work any of the 4 days we stayed there. This hotel was luxurious and a terrific vacation spot. If DC is your destination, this hotel is not conveniently located, but it was nice to return to at the end of the day. One negative was that they were pushy about selling time-shares to renters. Be prepared to either say NO every day when they call, or just go to their presentation and be done with […] it. This hotel is truly a first-class luxury home away from home!! The staff are amazing -so friendly and courteous and will go out of their way to please you. The location is right in the centre of National Harbour so steps away from everything and there's a bus that can take you to the closest Metro station (about a 15 minute ride) if you want to venture […] into downtown Washington DC. I was attending a conference and brought along the family as well. We all had an excellent time and enjoyed the hotel. Our room overlooked the pool and hot tub on the 2nd floor - it was hot while we were there so it was getting a lot of use - we unfortunately didn't have time to check it out - maybe next time!!
