Good Location / Different Type of B/B Experience
We loved the location as it was only a short walk to restaurants, shopping and everything you might need during your stay. The breakfast was good, pretty much made to order. We appreciated that we were allowed to use the breakfast area in the evenings to sit and chat, have a glass of wine and play some cards with the friends with whom we were traveling. The house is beginning to need a bit of updating. Some wallpaper was peeling off or already missing. Our rooms were comfortable and we did get a good night's rest. However, the shower was a bit tricky to operate.....where to find the power switch, how to set it to get a consistent temperature, etc. so a few instructions would have made it easier and more satisfying for us the first morning. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door asking that we call to gain entry which was surprising. Come prepared with a cell phone that has international service if you are not from Scotland! WiFi was provided and it worked OK for our needs. We do realize that local visitors may know some of these details. However, if you are not from Scotland, these were complications that impacted our stay. We met Lisa, Frank's wife who chatted with us for about twenty minutes the first night we were there. She was friendly, gracious and welcoming. However, in our three days of stay, that was the only time we crossed paths with her. Frank was less interactive. We didn't see much of him either except at breakfast time.

A good sleep
We traveled with another couple and stayed 3 nights at Cedar Villa. The location was excellent. It was only a short walk to the old town Inverness. An excellent Tesco grocery was 3 blocks from the Villa. Frank was a good host; he provided us excellent breakfasts each day and we allowed us to use the breakfast room in the evening to play cards. The beds were clean and comfortable. The internet was good but there were very few outlets and the rooms could use some updated decorating. The lighting in the rooms could be brighter, especially in the bathroom. We took day trips and spent little time at the place but when we were there, we got a good sleep to ready us for the next day trip.

Wonderful stay in Inverness!
We arrived very late and still received a friendly welcome! The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! Cedar Villa is located among several other B&Bs and is a short walk to several restaurants. If you have a car, there is overnight street parking available around the corner. We drove down to the Dores Inn and had a lovely dinner after watching the sun set over Loch Ness. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

Great location and okay price.
We had a 3rd floor room - no lift but beautiful spiral staircase almost made up for the climb. Parking was on the street but was quite away from hotel. We arrived during rush hour so traffic created an issue in finding the place. Once we were there, location was great. Close to the downtown but quiet (in evenings). Excellent breakfast.
