There was simply nothing that the staff said no to. On the 2nd day I asked if there were any boogie boards available. I asked if they would be able to get some before our stay was done and I was told "we will try". About 2 hours later a jet ski pulls up and delivers 4 new boogie boards...done. My fiance and I had a very pleasant overall stay at Ocean Two. The staff -- waitstaff, managers, front desk workers, and pool crew (shoutout to Ian!) were genuinely friendly and helpful. Our oceanfront suite was superb -- I would highly recommend upgrading to oceanfront for the incredible views of the pool, ocean, and beach. Everything seemed very clean […] and well-maintained. The swim-up pool was great (especially during Happy Hour), the rooftop pool deck was absolutely beautiful (and surprisingly empty on every visit up there - they don't make a point to tell you about it - swipe your card in the elevator to gain access). The beach was lovely and never too crowded - a tad rocky in the water, but the free use of boogeyboards made that easy to ignore. Their restaurant food was delicious- a tad expensive, but overall we enjoyed breakfast, lunch, tapas, and dinner and were never disappointed. (Get the banana bread as a side with breakfast). A few minor complaints: despite it being a private beach, there is a guy who tries to hustle beads in the morning hours, which is annoying. Our iPod dock in the room did not work, and the remotes seemed to only work half the time. Also, anticipate the listed breakfast, lunch, and dinner times to be later by a half hour. This can be irritating if you're starving. However, there is a little safe grocery market across the street which is handy for snacks. The staff was very helpful no matter what our requests were. The hotel was clean and new. I observed workers continuing to clean constantly. White sandy beaches were mere steps from the hotel where we witnessed a sea turtle lay eggs one night. Warm and clean ocean waters provided excellent conditions for surfing or just swimming in the water.

My wife and I stayed at this establishment for our honeymoon. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and accomidating. When we arrive we discovered we had been upgraded to a Penthouse Suite, which was unbelievable. Towards the end of our week I had some medical issues and spend a couple of nights in the hospital, and the staff of Oceans Two […] went above and beyond to be very supportive of my wife in our trying time. I can't thank them enough. The reason for the 4 on comfort is, the bed was too soft for my liking. But all around my wife and I agree we'll be back. Even thinking of buying a condo there. If your into Sea Turtles; Ask, O'Neal (The water sport director at Ocean Two) to take you out on the jet ski for some one on one with the turtles. The wife and I had an hour of just her and I with 4 Sea Turtles eating from our hands. Cool Runnings was a great excursion that we also did, but it just a lot more people "fighting" for the turtles attention, but lunch was great and the drinks were freely poring. Also don't forget Ositins Fish Fry on Friday Nights. Try Uncle Georges in the middle of the stalls. Remember, don't stand in the ques, just find a place and sit they will come and take your order from you and bring the food to you. If you get there around 6"30 there isn't much waiting. Try Happy Days Restaurent a little towards the gap and say "Hi" to Mic the owner. Just watch out for the Aleo Vera guys trying to sell you Aloe. It's Illegal. Read more

The hotel was very nice and had good proximity to the Gap. We stayed on the 7th floor and had a west facing balcony. Great sunsets and we could watch/hear the waves. Most of the people at the resort were couples. There seemed to have been a bumper crop of newlyweds from England. The front desk staff was very helpful and quite enjoyable. They helped […] us rent a car and give us some sense of where to go on the island. The Dover market is right across the street which makes stocking the room very easy. One note, the hotel rooms do not have mini-fridges so if you buy perishables..you will need to be inventive to keep things cold. The restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced for a good dinner. We ate at the resort twice for dinner and once for lunch. Harlequin was the other dinner restaurant which was very good. The Ocean's 15 coffee bar/restaurant is very good as well. We went there almost every morning for coffee and an egg breakfast of some kind. The surf on Dover beach is really rough. It is best to head to the beaches on the west side of the island to swim and snorkel. I read on another post that the lounge charis by the pool and on the beach were the best ever. I completely second that. We spent 3 straight days laying on them. FYI..the wind is pretty constant blowing between 10 and 20 mph during June. All in all, this was a great place to unwind and relax. We spent 9 nights at the Ocean 2 in March 2012. We had a 1 bedroom oceanfront suite. The full kitchen was well equipped and quite large. The hotel well maintained and fairly new. All staff that we encountered were friendly, responsive and competent. The property fronts a small beach, with a larger beach next door. The water was choppy during our stay […] so there wasn't much swimming or snorkeling, but lots of surfers (there's a surfing scholl next door). There were plenty of towels, beach chairs and umbrellas for patrons. The hotel's location at St Lawrence Gap gives easy access to a large number of restuarants and bars that are a short 10 minute walk away. The hotel's conceirge was very helpful in arranging for a rental car for three of our days (recommended so you can see more of this lovely island), and also to arrange a catamaran snorkel cruise. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but it sure smelled good from our 3rd floor room right above it. Read more

My husband and I travel frequently. The Ocean Two ranks among our top 3 hotels. Water front rooms have amazing balconies & views of blue-green water and palm trees. The white sand beach was stunning & clean, very swimmable with playful waves. Shallow under water is rocky in places, but you can easily walk/wade 3 minutes around the corner to bigger Dover […] beach. The pools, though just a bit small, are cool and inviting. The lounge chairs are the comfiest we've ever laid on. The decor is crisp, pretty, modern. Room was well equipped & had linens/pillows that made for a beautiful sleep. O2 staff were incredibly nice, gracious, accommodating. Dover Market, just across the street, had most groceries you'd need. Young locals were boisterous at times, but in our experience very nice, friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is lively and just 10ish minute walk to St. Lawrence Gap, with an even greater selection of restaurants, bars, and shops. Cafe Sol & Pisces were very good for taste & atmosphere. A short taxi or bus away was Tapas with delicious food & exquisite setting. Get an ocean front table at sunset, wow. ZR mini van/buses run fast, frequent, and cheap to anywhere for 1$US. Go see Bathsheba, west & south coast beaches, St. John's Church. Bridgetown was interesting, but just okay. Maybe coincide your trip to B'town with a cruise visit so shops/restaurants are all open. Waterfront boardwalk was nice though. Highly recommend Ocean Two & Barbados overall!!! So lovely! Read more

Had no idea we were getting what is basically a Condo, we had washer and dryer, convection/microwave oven, full size refrigerator, smooth top range plus full set of pots, pans, utencils, plates dishes etc. Bathroom was to die for, had one one of those giant shower heads from the ceiling […] along with hand held unit that felt like a small pressure washer! Hotel was very quiet, if u like to party this isn't the place for you. Very, very friendly staff. Can't say enough good things about the place, would come back again. Only complaints, had to keep asking for coffee for the coffee maker every 2 days and service at the bar and pool bar very slow. This seems to be a common theme at a few places we have stayed at, doesn't management realize there's money to be made from the bar? There are small houses and abandoned buildings adjacent to the property which really detracted from the overall experience. Hotel service was inconsistent...sometimes great sometimes poor. The people on this island are by far the friendliest of any island we have been to. The St Lawrence Gap is known as the liveliest place on the island at nite. There are bars, night clubs and restaurants within a half mile from the property but don't get your expectations too high, it is a small cute area very safe to walk. Cabs can be expensive so we rented a car...very confusing to drive on otherside of road. Also roads are not marked well at all so even though you have a map it is hard to navigate but cabs are expensive. Try 2 book online..they wanted $450-500 for the week to rent a car. Cin Cin our favorite restaurant followed by The Tides. Bellini's, Pisces, Tapas good. Cafe Sol cute very lively good for casual meal. Only bad food we had was at hotel..Tapas menu poor quality food. Enjoyed the grilled chicken wrap for lunch. Convenient store accross street good for snacks beer and wine. No bar service at pool or beach unless you walk up. Also coffee bar directly behind hotel has good coffee, lattes and limited pastries (muffins, banana bread, breakfast croissant). Read more

Hotel Rating: Completely worthy of a North American standard 4-star rating. Beach: Beautiful and mostly deserted... Waves were strong on one side but good for surfing or boogey boarding. Pools: Very nice, but who cares... Didn't pay all that money to sit by a pool. Staff and Service: Very attentive and courteous staff. No fancy towel animals by room […] service like in Mexico or Dominican but always on time and well done. If you have any issues, speak to Kemar and he will take care of it. Restaurant: Tried the hotel restaurant and lunch is by far the best deal on St. Lawrence Gap... They serve daily Bajan specialties at a fraction of prices elsewhere in the Gap (around $20 BBD). Transport: We could walk almost everywhere for lunch/dinner but found that taxi drivers often demanded more than the published rates. Luckily, we found a driver with 40 years experience named Carl Browne, stationed in front of The Chattel House Village (usually playing dominos), who gave us amazing deals for our island tours and general transport needs (e.g. He took us on a 5 hour journey to Harrison's Cave, Bathsheba, Andromeda Gardens and back through St. Philips for a flat rate of $200 BBD when other drivers would demand $60-80 BBD per hour!). P.S. Just a final note to Canadians: Aparently, Canadian tourists have a worse reputation than even Americans in Barbados... So if you're Canadian, please don't be rude to the locals as you're embarrassing Canada! Read more

From the friendly gracious staff, to the wonderful food and local rum cocktails (by the pool bar of course) to the picturesque waters of the Caribbean - it made for one of our best holiday destinations we have yet to experience!!! The balcony from our one bedroom ocean front room, was great. […] Two large deck chairs overlooking the turquoise waters and pool with a 4 seater outdoor table and chairs, made for a very private area which we could enjoy evening drinks etc. The well stocked kitchen was amazing - better than home! A special mention to the staff at breakfast and by the pool bar. Very friendly, helpful and polite. I would certainly recommend this wonderful resort to all who enjoy a quiet laid back holiday. The pool is small but nice. This swim up bar is a great touch. The deck chairs are amazing - I've never seen cushions as nice and comfortable. The beach area is really nice - white sand, blue water etc... One does need to be aware of coral on the beach directly in front of the hotel. We spent more time in the water a five minute walk down the beach in a big bay to the south/west. The restaurant was small inside, but the patio seating offered a nice option. Spoilt by suite not ready on arrival and given a cheap bottle of Cava as compensation, for what eventually turned into a 2 hour delay. We did a lot of research on Trip Advisor and this Hotel had some great reviews. We had an absolutely amazing time, from the great value transfer (thanks Expedia - more competitive than other holiday online sites) to the arrival at the hotel. We were greeted by the Front of Desk Manager with a refreshing cocktail and cold towel and then immediately shown […] to our room (710A). We upgraded to a One Bedroom Apartment and the room was probably the best room we have stayed in. The kitchen/Living area was well equipped - full kitchen and huge TV. The bedroom was modern and the was bed so comfortable (loads of pillows). The Bathroom - well what can I say, 2 sinks and the most amazing wet-room/shower. Our balcony was huge with a view of the pool, beach and ocean - waking up each day to the sea was such a peaceful and relaxing way to drink your coffee. The great thing about the apartment was that you weren’t limited to breakfast / lunch at a set time, you could buy food from the supermarket over the road as it suited. we would definitely recommend just going room only and trying the local restaurants - Tapas, Pisces, Champers, Harlequin and of course Oistins on Friday (or Saturday) evening. the hotel staff booked restaurants/Taxis etc for us no problem and gave advice.
