"Good B&B with a waling distance to the downtown"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 10, 2013
This was a nice B&B with a friendly staff. From the location you can walk around 15 minutes down the the waterfront and enjoy the restaurants there. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this place.
"Not bad for price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 20, 2013
For similar price to the George and The Riverside, this is a better bet although it is out of town. Main positive was one of the receptionists who was very helpful (gave me a heater as I was cold, found my welcome rewards number for me and linked 2 separate bookings so I didn't have to move room). However the other receptionist would only do the minimum she could get away with! 2 negatives for me: 1) the shower was a mixer tap so it was difficult to get a reasonable temperature. It was either boiling or freezing. 2) The restaurant was very cold despite all radiators being on.

"good rural escape"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 18, 2012
This b&b is located in a rural area, but not far off the A14 highway. It is situated on a large tract of land, with a great deal of wildlife presant, particularly pheasants. The room was quite nice, with a coffee/tea maker and a tiny refrigerator. The full English breakfast was excellent, cooked to the guest's desire. The location is about a 40 minute drive to Cambridge.

The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff. The only thing that was missing was a wardrobe or facilities for hanging our clothing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great b&b loved our stay!"
We had a fab one might stay at the dog inn. The manager was great. We asked if we could check in early to our room as we were attending a wedding at the castle which wasn't a problem. The room was big with a tv and coffee and teafacilities. We had breakfast in the morning which was lovely and he offered as much tea and coffee as you wanted. Really welcoming […] staff and a great little village with picturesque views all round. I would recommend it if your looking for a nights stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old spring bed with springs coming through"
The hospitality was great, but when we went to our room there was a dead shrivelled up daddy long legs hanging by a cobweb on the wall there was also cobwebs hanging from the light to a picture. When we got into bed the springs were coming through the mattress all over and as I have recently had a back problem thus was no good for my condition. We had […] to be out of the room by 8ish in the mornings for the weekend event we were doing but the cooked breakfast at the weekend didn't start until 8 but they did put cereal out for us. We most certainly would not stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap for a reason."
A cheap single room, I didn't expect much and that is what I got. A small room and ensuite. Everything is a little tatty, door hasn't been painted, marks on the wall, pull back hooks for the curtains but no pull backs, shelf missing in the bathroom but rawl plugs still there. Kettle lead is so short that you can't pour into a cup on the table while […] it's plugged in. Having said that the supply manager was very friendly put things right ( like the shower that wouldn't turn off). The pub is small and friendly and offers good beer. The sheets were clean and the room was quiet. You get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Over rated"
This is far from an Hotel. it's more like a low rated B&B. The room was cold only heated by a small fan heater which was seriously insufficiant. I could only describe the whole place as a villiage pub with rooms. It was used by builders working away from home and I have to say i would have to be very desperate to stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Friendly staff. Very clean room, bedding and towels. Excellent full English breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
