"Location is great, as is the hotel."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.
"Pleasant Setting and Charming Family"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas, TX" on Apr 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

"A little hard to find, but good location."Reviewed by Pamela F. of "Nj" on Apr 16, 2012
We had trouble finding the Bath Hilton due to one-way streets and traffic congestion, but it is close to the Abbey, Roman baths and Pump Room, so it's worth the trouble. Two negatives: internet access was available only in the lobby and parking costs approx. $22 per night. Positives are the full breakfast in the restaurant with a fantastic view and, as mentioned, hotel's location.

The Macdonald Bath Spa is lovely, the staff is helpful and attentive. We were automatically upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful surprise. No complaints. Would definitely stay there again.

"Delightful small hotel in a nice location"
We upgraded to the superior room for our wedding night. This came with the round top bath which was very grand. It was a really comfy room but be warned the bathroom is only seperated by a curtain. There was a toilet outside our room which we used for nightly deposits. The room was a nice size but didnt have a full length mirror. Breakfast was delicious […] and staff were polite. Read more
"Pit stop on the way to Cornwall!"
We stayed one night during the Gold Cup meeting at Cheltenham. A warm and friendly welcome and a good restaurant recommendation for dinner. Comfortable beds and good breakfast - all that we wanted for a pit stop on the way to Cornwall. Would recommend to friends.
Lovely small hotel in a beautiful old building, friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent value for money. Only (minor) downside was that the bed felt somewhat small for two people.
"Gem"
I booked this for my parents who had a garden-facing room. They were very impressed by the size of the room, bathroom and cleanliness. The hotel staff were apparently very friendly and the breakfasts were 'amazing'!! They have already recommended it to their friends.
"Rounceval House Hotel Chipping Sodbury"

"Excellent location and breakfast"
Stayed here for one night. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy car parking. Breakfast plentiful and of high quality. Does not do evening meals so the owner gave us helpful advice on dining options. We tried the Siam Thai restaurant. It was very good - especially the banana fritters!
"Ronceval House Hotel"
Very nice hotel, we stayed in a family room and it was very good for us as it had a separate room for our teenage son. Very clean, good breakfast.
"Perfect gem"
We stayed for only one night in the family room which was lovely, spacious and clean. Staff could not be more accomodating and Mark, the owner, is a great chap. Breakfast was all you could possibly need with quality ingredients. Great location for access to motorways and for trips into Cotswolds. Fanatstic and a place we shall be revisiting. If restaurants […] in C.S don't appeal there are some great one's in Tetbury 15 mins away! Don' dither, just book it. You will not be disappointed. Read more
