We stayed here one night on our way back back from Cozumel. Great value for the price! Yeah the rooms are small and breakfast was limited, but the staff was very friendly and hotel was clean and quiet. Also, we were able to walk into downtown Playa easily from this location. I would certainly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A basic hotel but in a good location"
I had a hard time finding the hotel and that was because I forgot how the streets go in Playa. My Spanish is pretty good but I could not understand where to park. Finally the very nice Spanish speaking receptionist drew a map on a paper and I was fine after that. This hotel is close to a wal mart and the ado bus station. No luxury here basic but functional […] and in a secure location. I arrived around 9:30 PM and went out on 5th Avenue and returned around 11:30 PM and had no concerns walking back to the hotel. I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"One of the nicest in Playa del Carmen"
I've stayed here several times on my trips to Cancun airport from my home in Belize and I love this place. I take the all night ADO bus from Belize City, which arrives in Playa around 5am, to the depot right across the street. I can sit in the lobby and have free coffee until they have a room for me, which is always well before the normal check-in time. […] The hotel is super clean and the beds super comfy. Great water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. The free breakfast buffet is another great plus. They serve coffee and tea all day and this last trip the desk person started to tell me how to make iced tea to take to my room. What hotel does that? The tourist walking street, 5th Avenue, is 3 blocks away and I always feel perfectly safe walking back to the hotel no matter what time of night. Sadly this will be my last stay at this hotel as I am moving to South America. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for us!"
Great location, easy walk to dinner at our favorite restaurant (Babe's), and right across the street from the bus station where we departed in the morning - after a very nice buffet breakfast! (included in the price)Genuine Expedia guest review

"hotel to recommend"
great place. breakfast not so many choices but thats fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
For the price it's probably is good: the staffs were very nice and helpful. Cleaning lady did good job. But the facilities were overly simple and cheap, cardboard of everything. Bathroom is very small. Breakfasts are same thing every day. Air con did not have enough power, lobby doors were often open with outside natural temp: hot n humid. Location […] is next to Walmart and MEGA store, but too far to the beaches and 5th Ave. Big court yard: wished it's swimming pool! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simple but clean"
Some rooms smell heavily of smoke/cigarettes. Our first room did, so we asked to switch rooms. It's only a few blocks from 5th ave, not bad at all and safe. It's near Coco Bongo. Breakfast is free and it's ok. We stayed two nights, both times they had received beans, Chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, yogurt and fruit. Water is potable in rooms. FREE […] laundry (only one machine) on first floor. Opens after 9am. Bring your own soap. They charge $40 pesos. Probably cheaper to buy at a store a block away for 1/2 price. Buy tickets to events like xel-ha, xacaret or chichen itza at the booths on 5th ave. You get a better deal. We got $90/per person for xel-ha and $45/pp for chichen itza through cancun Bay company. Shop around, don't take first offer. Price will drastically drop. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central and close to the beach"
Comfortable, clean with good service. Breakfast options were limited, but the quality good. Close enough to 5th Ave shops and the beach to work for everyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
The A/C did not work in my room, so the staff moved me to another room where it worked a little better. Also, the rooms are on the small side but for what the room cost, I really can't complain. Everything else about the hotel was great and there are some nice little features that I have not seen in other hotels like potable tap water, a complimentary […] laundry machine, a complimentary hot breakfast of decent quality. The hotel is also very convenient to the bus station and about a 10 min walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This isn't a resort, it's a place to sleep, & that's what hotels are for. The rooms are small, clean, & quiet & the beds are very good. The free breakfast is very good as well, & the staff is sharp. There's free indoor parking. I've stayed there a couple of times & I love the concept of an excellent no-frills hotel in Mexico. It's a painless drive or […] shuttle bus trip to the Cancun airport, avoiding pricy & congested Cancun. It's great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel for the super low price. Simple rooms yet clean and comfortable. The breakfast included was great as well - juices, cereal, fruit, bread, eggs, chilaquiles, beans, cheese. They have safes in a private room behind the front desk where you can store your valuables. The staff was very friendly and always greeted me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my second stay. The bus station directly across the street is very convenient. But be careful if you come by bus because there are other stations here as well that are farther away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small rooms, but great place"
The rooms were large enough for 1 or 2 to comfortably sleep, but not a place you would hang out in all day. Other relatively minor things, it would had been nice if the shower was a little warmer and the AC a little cooler, but they worked well enough. Above all I had a great stay. The hot buffet style breakfast that the hotel puts out was consistently […] good, the staff was always friendly and the maids did a fantastic job making up the room everyday. Some other nice features were potable tap water in the bathroom sink, a complimentary laundry machine near the elevator and wifi that worked very well throughout the hotel. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the "5th ave" tourist street, but there are restaraunts and stores (and some large chains) immediately around the hotel as well. "Got everything you need for a short stay"
We stayed for three nights at ONE hotel and were generally pretty happy about it. My boyfriend needed to work on two of the days, and the business center is a good place for him to work undisturbedly. The wifi internet was excellent everywhere in the hotel. Bathroom and bedroom are all very clean. There is also a laundry room on first floor, which is […] a big plus for us for washing our dirty beach towels. Location is unbeatable - right next to the bus station and walking distance to the fun part of town. The only down side of the hotel is its AC.... it's just too cold for us and we cannot really adjust the power. It is either on (super cold) or off (hot) for us - the power button on the AC doesn't seem to work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, clean, small room"
The location was convenient, easy walking distance from the main street. Also it was quiet, despite the fact that they are still constructing half the building. Also the breakfast was plenty, you can have toasts and jam, eggs, meat, cereals, coffee/tea, yogurts, juice, fresh fruits, donuts, muffins, and some traditional Mexican choices starting at 7 […] am on time. The coffee, tea and water was available 24 hours as well. The staffs were friendly and the room was clean. The sink water is drinkable. The internet connection is available at rooms and two computers in the front lobby. Overall, it was a very convenience and comfortable place to stay. The down side was that there was no fridge in the room, and sometimes the shower didn't get warm. Also we got a room that was facing an other wing across the court yard, their windows were a perfect match to ours. We couldn't open the window curtain not even once, because the room in the other side was occupied. It felt like a room with no window. It would be a good place to stay as a base, to sleep in and start a day early. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"very good buy"
This is a new hotel that reminded my husband and I of the simple hotels we stayed in in Europe. It is very no-frills, but totally clean, the staff was friendly, the room wasn't large but entirely adequate. They have a free laundry room and a free buffet style breakfast which was good also,The hotel is located one block from Wal Mart so its easy to shop. […] We stayed 2 nights; its a 10 minute walk to 5th ave, and to get to the beach or beach club area its 20-25 min. or one could take a cab. This is a great hotel for a short term stay. "Great Place for a Great Price"
Stayed there for 2 weeks for vacation. It is much more of a business hotel than a resort, although they will help you set up tours if you want. No pool but you're about 4 blocks from the beach so not a problem. Staff is GREAT, always came back to a very clean room. The one thing that would have been a nice addition would be a mini fridge to keep waters/beers […] and left-overs cool. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Across the Street from ADO Bus Stop"
Clean, modern accommodations with nice shower, bathroom, and very comfortable bed. Very utilitarian aesthetics. Only downside was that you could hear everything from the room above (moving chairs, etc) as it seems that although the walls side to side are thick, the ceiling is not.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome modern hotel"
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for the price. It is clean, modern, has all the amenties needed except for a pool and gym. However, with free breakfast, free underground parking, and a business center with WiFi throughout the hotel it isn't missed. The location is perfect for going to CocoBongo and the other shops and restaurants. Walmart […] and the bus station is literally across the street for taking trips and buying those things you forgot to pack. Could not find a nicer hotel in Mexico for the price. Hotel is located across the street from the 2nd bus terminal in Playa, not the first. Staying onboard for the 2nd stop will save roughly 10 blocks of walking (about 6 short blocks from the beach). Hotel was clean & modern although the room was somewhat stark. Bed was firm, but comfortable for us. Breakfast included a hot egg dish, beans, different breakfast […] meats, cereals, yogurt & fresh fruits. Overall, a real bargain if you don't mind being right on the beach. "Great hotel for anyone!"
For the price this place is a no brainer. Not far from the action and a safe walk to and from. The rooms are small but you probably won't spend much time in them and they were plenty quiet and dark. The rooms and hotel were very well maintained and clean as well. One of the front desk staff was a huge help getting my Mexican cell phone setup as I couldn't […] understand the operator. "Close to La Pesca restaurant and ADO bus station"
Not having arrived in Playa until late in the evening, I chose this hotel due to it being close to the ADO bus station. Not only that but every trip to Playa I have dinner at La Pesca, great place to eat but I think the prices are going up a little. Upon arriving at Hotel One I was given a "card" key to the room which also goes into a "slot" on the […] wall to turn the electricity on. The person at the reservation desk did not speak english. Not knowing about the "card" being inserted into the wall slot to turn on the electricity i called the front dest 3 times before I figured out, without his help, how things work. The breakfast was really good with lots of variety of fruit, juices and hot food as well.. I will stay there again, although I prefer the smaller hotels over the large ones like Hotel One. "Close to the action but, still quite and relaxed"
My friends and I stayed here, last minute stay and we came to PLaya for a music Festival. Overall, the hotel was easy to find, staff was great, and the rooms although were small were clean and defiantly enjoyable. We didn't spend much time in the hotel but, I doubt you will either. Playa Del Carmen is beautiful and offers so much to do. I think all […] in all for the price, this is a great modern hotel. Everything it shows you and advertises is exactly how it is. Complimentary wifi, breakfast each morning, no pool or hot tub! As long as you pay attention to the details while booking your all good, and there won't be any hidden surprises! Great hotel!
