"Really Special Stay"
My wife and I spent 15 days in Chile for our honeymoon. Our first two nights in country we had the privilege of staying at the Aubrey. It was just a wonderful experience. The staff took exceptional care of us and I do not recall getting better service at any hotel I've ever stayed at. The hotel even comped us a complimentary bottle of champagne that […] we drank pool side. The restaurant at the hotel was also exemplary. Next time we are in Santiago we plan on staying at the Aubrey for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boutique Bliss in Santiago's Hip Neighborhood"
The Aubrey was a super comfortable and pleasingly esthetic small hotel in the Bellavista area of Santiago. We walked to great restaurants for lunch and dinner. The staff was completely helpful, from giving advice about dinner reservations to contacting our friends at another Hotel. Hip, relaxing, with great service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing Boutique Hotel"
We stayed at the Aubrey for 4 nights and from the moment we arrived until we left we had an amazing time. The hotel is well situated in the Bellavista area of Santiago, which is packed with great restaurants and close to a lot of the main tourist attractions. The Aubrey is a truly wonderful boutique hotel with beautiful design, a fantastic layout, awesome […] bedrooms and great outdoor bar and pool areas. The staff were fantastic, extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. When it came to the food we were really impressed. Breakfast was great, offering a wide choice of yummy food and The Aubrey's dinner and mouth watering desserts and cheeseboards were superb. We had such a great time at The Aubrey and can't wait until our next visit! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Aubrey - beautiful hotel but ......"
The Aubrey is a beautiful hotel. We had 2 nights there and enjoyed all it had to offer with one exception and that was having to listen to one of the owners of the hotel abuse his staff, swear at his staff and even fire one of his staff, and all this in the hotel bar! We could not believe it. The other staff were very good and professional and it would […] be for this reason I would suggest the hotel is worth a visit. It is NOT because of the owner (who, I believe, is Australian, which is even more disappointing). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, ambience and service"
The Aubrey is in an excellent location in the Barrio Bella Vista, adjacent to San Cristobal, and an easy walk to the main down town area. The Aubrey has a great ambience, relaxing and quiet, and the staff were excellent. I had read recent reviews criticising the cleanliness and the quality of the breakfast, but we did not experience this. Breakfast […] is not just self serve: freshly squeezed juices, eggs etc cooked to order, fresh espresso coffee were all offered. Complimentary afternoon tea is offered each day, and the bar is well stocked. Staff were helpfukl with restaurant suggestions and organiseda day tour for us.We thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights there at the end of a 4 week holiday in South America. "The gorgeous Hotel Aubrey in Santiago"
I have just returned to New Zealand after 8 days in Santiago staying at the Hotel Aubrey. The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. Located in a restored mansion in charming Bellavista, at the foot of San Cristobel, it is a real gem in every respect. I would love to stay there again, and would unhesitatingly recommend it. Santiago, too, is a captivating […] city that grew on me more each day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Aubrey Santiago"
Extremely stylish and comfortable boutique Hotel in a very hip area of Santiago-may be a little "raw" for some- but there is nothing raw about the Aubrey. The staff are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The architectural details and renovation of this significant building(house of an ex politician) are beautifully executed and imaginative. Food […] and atmosphere great.Delicious brekky. Highly recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Return visit every bit as good"

This is a fantastic boutique hotel in a lovely area of the city. We stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago, and it was just as splendid this time. The staff must be some of the best that are working in hotels anywhere. Every single one of them went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are a bit quirky, but that is part of the charm of the place. The swimming pool is lovely and the general areas are laid out beautifully. The hotel is within walking distance of a street of restaurants, and is a longer walk from the centre of town. Top tip: ask the owner of the hotel Mark to make you a pisco sour. You won't get a better one anywhere.
"Great location, beautiful hotel."

Beautiful boutique hotel. My room faced the street which made it very noisy at night with all the clubs nearby. Was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were closed early on Sundays. Overall, I would definitely stay there again with hopes of a different room.

Since we were family of 4 adults we were given a room with 2 bedrooms. The decor was eclectric and lighting was very poor. There was only 1 bathroom with a small sink, so it was very difficult for 4 adults to get dressed every day. I asked for a manicure and was provided one in the hotel for $50 US..! The hotel originally was 2 buildings combined into 1, so every time you wanted to go from our ground level room to the public areas including the front desk, you had to walk up and down different flights of stairs! Overall the hotel was overpriced and needs lot of improvement in service and decor.
"The perfect urban haven"

The Aubrey was exactly what you want from a boutique hotel and more. Every nook and cranny is perfectly thought out to make you feel cozy, relaxed and inspired. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the perfect balance of being taken care of, but also respecting my space and my privacy. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Santiago!
"Lovely old villa in a perfect location at the foot of Cerro San Cristobal"
03/21/15 Heather W Hillsborough, California, United States
We had two nights here to enjoy exploring Santiago and found the location excellent for walking to almost all the attractions we were interested in viewing in Barrio Bellavista and Barrio Lastarria. We had booked a Manarelli room but were upgraded by the hotel upon our return from exploring the city as the housekeeping staff noticed something wrong with the AC unit. (I can't tell you how much we appreciated this as we had a similar experience in London two years ago on our 25th anniversary night; we discovered the problem ourselves after a lovely dinner out but the night staff of that London hotel refused to rectify the situation until the next day leaving us sleepless and extremely aggravated!) The common spaces of the hotel are lovely, particularly the bar where hotel guests are treated to a pisco sour, the breakfast room and the pool. It was a little oasis in the city.
"Home away from home"

I absolutely enjoyed my short stay at The Aubrey, as I never felt as though I was in a hotel. I honestly felt at home in every part of the unique property. I attribute this to the warm and welcoming staff, who catered to my every need and desire. It was a special joy to have chatted with Mrs. Martin, mother to one of the owners, who happened to be visiting during my stay. Which reminds me - I owe her some photos from Antarctica! Thank you for such a relaxing few days in Santiago before my big adventure down south! I cannot wait to visit my home away from home again.
"Beautiful Hidden Gem"

We were at the Aubry a few years ago and had an amazing few nights. We had been skiing in the Andes and spent a few days in the city since we had come so far. Hotel was beautiful and hidden in a great neighborhood. Met the owners during our stay and received a lot of great hints from them as to places to go in the city. Great atmosphere after being in the mountains for so long. Had a great stay.
"Return to the little oasis"
03/16/15 Hebtourist Hebden Bridge
We returned to Santiago and the Aubrey in February 2015 for a 3 night stay, following our previous stay, in respect of which we also submitted a review ("A Little Oasis"). Nothing much had changed regarding the hotel and we stayed in the same room that we had first stayed in with a terrace overlooking the stalls (and public toilets) in front of the funicular. The one change we did notice was that the level of service (very good when we first stayed) had actually improved. Nothing was too much for the desk staff, who were simply excellent on this occasion. Mark, the owner, showed the same friendly interest in us. We also booked a winery tour with the same guide / driver we previously had (Alwin) and it was like meeting an old friend. He is highly recommended as a guide for anyone booking a tour through the Aubrey. I suspect we will go back there once again and the challenge for the hotel will be to meet the expectation built up by our stays to date. And by the way, we thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary sour!
"Very good staff!"
03/15/15 Leo C Cairns Region, Australia
Quaint but rooms not too clean unfortunately and they seem to have a water drainage problem but then the building is very old . The rooms satisfactory and comfortable. Gorgeous old building and the staff are amazing! They make this hotel worth the stay! Breakfast is wonderful and again the staff terrific. Close to the Red Bus pickup which is certainly worth the experience to see Santiago but ask staff as they don't tell you about it. Thank you Aubrey crew for helping us enjoy our stay so much!
"Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great part of Santiago"
03/15/15 lorilander Cambridge, Massachusetts
Our family (myself and my husband plus 3 adult children in their 20s) stayed at the Aubrey Hotel for 3 nights in December upon our arrival from Miami. From the moment of our arrival till way after our departure the wonderfully friendly staff took the best of care of us. Our Pavillion rooms in the new part of the hotel were beautiful and stylish - contemporary with small enclosed courtyards (ours had a jacuzzi). There were great nooks and crannies inside and outside the hotel to hang out to read or have a conversation. The pool is lovely, set into the hillside with comfortable loungers and including a big conversation area. Breakfast (inside or out) was delicious. The staff was wonderful, friendly, smart and helpful. As I mentioned at the outset, their helpfulness extended past our stay - we arrived at the airport at the end of our Chile stay and found to our dismay that the rental car company did not have an airport location and their city office closed for the day so we could not reach them (Sixt Rental). Not sure what to do and now short on time, we called The Aubrey and the staff helped us figure out a place to leave the car and the key at the airport; they offered to either come get the car or make arrangements with the car company the next day. The problem was solved with tremendous "we can fix this" attitude. We loved walking around BellaVista neighborhood - building after building decorated by murals and street art. Very lively and fun. Good restaurants - some which we had found, some recommended by the staff. (Our kids found fun bars to visit as well.) We found it easy to walk to other parts of town as well. Three minute walk in one direction to Pablo Neruda's Santiago house, now a museum (worth visiting) and and in the other direction to the lift up the mountain for a beautiful view over Santiago. When we returned tired after exploring the city, The Aubrey was a wonderfully peaceful and beautiful refuge. We are looking forward to returning to stay at The Aubrey when we return to Chile next spring.
