We loved Waterscape. It was relaxing, had a great view, easy access to the beach, huge pool area, convenient parking, close to a lot of things to do. The only thing that I would say they should change is that they require wristbands when your in the pool area, at ALL times, wristbands that can only be put on once and have to be cut off. My advice would […] be to hook the wristbands on the loosest knotch so you can take it on and off, but just remember to have it with you when you're at the pool because there is security walking around and checking. It was kind of a pain because sometimes we'd forget the wristbands but the added security was worth it. Nice to know someone couldn't just walk in and hang out at the pool without being a guest there, especially because this is a kid friendly resort. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Read more

This was the perfect spot for a vacation with children. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. In addition, the full kitchens allowed us to plan the week and stay on site for all meals, snacks and those important afternoon sun breaks. Waterscape was a wonderful choice and we'd definitely stay again. The only issue that made the stay uncomfortable was that the bathroom and bedroom door locks were not working. With four different families being in the same condo, it was a little annoying. Also the can opener didn't work. Other than that, everything was great!

Room was very good, clean and reasonably well appointed (would have been nice to have shampoo in both bathrooms). The location was very good and it was a very family-oriented place. You will most likely be happy if you are traveling with kids. The only serious drawback was the smell in some parts of the building. It ranged from musty to disgusting. […] We were on the third floor and it was not bad in most of the hallway, but as you got close to the stairs it got worse. Didn't find some of the desk personnel very helpful but overall had a great stay. When we return to the Fort Walden area, we will definitely stay at Waterscape Condominiums. Condominium offered excellent activities for children.

Room was lacking pillows and blankets. Pool chairs were hard to get bc people were "saving" them which was against the clearly posted pool rules.

We loved our vacation! Lots of families but not overcrowded even for the week of July 4th. None of the pools are over 5' deep. The only negative experience was on the beach. I took advantage of the FREE chair service with FREE umbrella every day (wonderful). But the chairs are placed elbow to elbow with the other chairs. I had a smoker next to me one […] day and he conducted business on his cell phone continuously. A swimming pool business. One day a family brought their radio and played music. I like to read and listen to the ocean so I picked a chair on the property line. I had some solitude up until about 10 am. My family enjoyed the walk from shore to the sandbar. Saw lots of fish in the water. No shells to cut your feet. Read more

Great hotel. Great pool area. The kids loved the pool when we were lucky enough to get pool chairs. A little pricey, though. Also, the carpeted hallways smelled of mildew. Eewww!

The stay was nice, however, the kitchen ware such as the pots and pans were not conducive to cooking anything because of the the quality of the pans (everything stuck when trying to cook on them). The shower door in the 2nd bathroom would not shut all the way unless you lifted up and forced it to close and then the handles in both showers in this particular […] room were half broken off. They worked, but still not pleasing to handle. The view from the 5th floor was very nice and relaxing because it overlooked the pools and you could see the ocean from the balcony. Avoid the crowds in Destin by staying at Waterscape in Fort Walton. This place was the nicest place in Fort Walton. It has 2 giant kiddie pools and 2 giant adult pools with waterfall. The landscaping is first class and the hotel property is secure and very clean. They have lifeguards and security staff all around the property keeping the place fun, […] safe, and family friendly. Good food at the pool bar. They serve beer. Cash only though. Also the complimentary 2 beach lounge chairs is nice. Ocean and beach are beautiful and steps from property. The units are big updated and very nice. All new stainless appliances and kitchen cabinets were nice. Bathrooms, big, clean, and nice. Waterscape is also directly across the street from Fudpuckers, Waffle House, Alvin's Island. Publix grocery is within 1 mile. Boardwalk with The Crab Trap and other great restaurants all within 1 mile. If you are going to Fort Walton, this is the place to stay...period. Read more

The condo was very well kept,clean, and quite. We travel late Feb and it was a little cool to get into the pool or beach but those areas seems really clean and look like fun to be in. Our room was VERY clean and the kitchen a good amount of dinnerware, drinkware and silverwear so you can go to a local store and get some food to cook in the condo kitchen […] save you a little money. The location of the condo is across the street from fudpuckers don't waste your money there you may need to rent a car if you want to grab a bit to eat or to go do some shopping of hwy 98. OMG!! We go for a long girls weekend every year to Ft. Walton / Destin area. Finally found the best condos ever. They are spacious, very modern, and beautiful. The staff is wonderfully helpful, and the amenities are fantastic. We will definatly be back next year!!!

Very family oriented. The lazy river and wading pools were safe and a lot of fun for very young children. Nice grills located around the pools for cook-outs.

We arrive at a rather expensive room to find we have no sheets for our sleeper sofa. We call housekeeping to find that they are closed for the evening. We call the main hotel line to be told that no one can bring us sheets and we should use the blanket to cover the matteress and not use pillowcases. After much argument someone brought us sheets. Then […] we realize our lights are out in one bathroom and all down the hall. After two phone calls someone came to change them. We had no view of the beach, only the pool. This hotel was gorgeous. The room was comfortable, modern, pretty, and had everything we needed except a hair dryer, which was no big deal. We went before Memorial Day so there weren't many school age children. There were lots of small children and young families and you can see why when you see the pools. We just got back on May 15, 2011 from a long 3 nite/4day weekend to Ft Walton Beach, Fl. My grandson LOVED the multiple kiddie features and the lazy river (although very small and almost no current). But hey, he is only 5, so as far as he was concerned it was awesome! The grounds are georgeous and are very clean and manicured. There is a Fudrucker hut […] beside the zero entry pool for short orders and drinks. Prices are average for poolside bar service (you always pay a little more for the convenience). Our room was nice (mattress a little hard though). At a resort of this stature/price, I was expecting pillow top mattresses...but no. In addition, our room was quite a hike to the pool/beach (3rd floor in the B complex). I have a disability and found it quite difficult to wag our beach supplies/towels (you must provide your own for the pool/beach). It would have helped if the front desk provided a map of the resort so we could figure out the shortest route. If we stay there again, I'm gonna try to get a room on the ground floor with easy access to the pool area. I gave the hotel service a 4 due to lack of resort info/map and the fact that she wasn't very friendly. The covered parking with sucurity gate was absolutely wonderful. There is an abundance of spaces. Last - as with most condos, please note that you have to pay an additional cleaning fee that is not included in the rental price. Read more

This was a very nice condo. We were pleased that a one bedroom would have two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The kitchen had all the basic essentials you would need. The beach was beautiful and the pools where great, however, even though we went in May I still wished they would have at least heated one of the pools. Most of our days were windy which […] was perfect when you were walking around, but it made it too cold for my little girl to splash around in the water from more than a few minutes at a time. Since the whole reason we picked these condos was because of the great pools. The location was convenient when it came to driving from the airport and the beach location and it was near a nice little public park and walking distance to the pier and the Gulf Aquarium. But without a car you wouldn't have much to do at night. I loved the idea that you could rent movies for free, but all the best movies were always rented. All and all it was a nice place. Read more

My family and I just returned from a 5 night stay over Spring Break at the Waterscape. The condo we had was on the 5th floor in the B building. We never had to wait for more than a minute for an elevator though. The pools (one is heated) were all very much enjoyed by our two daughters, aged 8 & 9, while my husband and I relaxed in lounge chairs. The […] Waterscape seemed to be be at full occupancy, but there were still plenty of lawn chairs to go around for all guests. I especially liked their policy of not renting to anyone under age 25 without at least someone older than 25 with the group. As I travel with my family, I am not looking for party central at a hotel complex, but instead a nice, relaxing atmosphere where I don't have to overly worry about the language my children might hear. This is exactly what we found at Waterscape...a wonderful, peaceful retreat, with empahsis on Family, & WE CANNOT WAIT TO GO AGAIN!! Side Note: if you book a ResortQuest unit, your beach chairs and umbrella are complimentary. However, if you run to Publix for groceries, buy some Toilet Paper. We didn't realize we only got one roll per bathroom for the whole week. We ran out the last night we were there, and though the resort did send some up, I had to use some Mommy muscle to get them to do it! Still super dee duper place!! Loved it!!!! Read more
