Danat Al Ain Resort - Al Ain

For the area, this is probably the best hotel experience. You are close to town center with a nice view of Hafeet Mtn. In town center, you have the Al Ain Mall and the historical museums and forts to visit. Hafeet Mtn is a close drive but we chose not to stay at the substandard hotel at the top just for the view. It is too far away from town, isolated […] at night and not as nice. Note: I was talking about the hotel at top of Mtn. not Danat. Danat is centrally located with a lot of western restaurants found in their four malls. This hotel had numerous restaurants as well. I felt they were a bit overpriced but they have special nights where you can find value and entertainment. Check their website for special night or e-mail them and they will give you the schedule. We arrived early at our hotel 12pm and we were accommodated and given a room. The pool is amazing and a live band was playing near the bar. Yes, a bar, alcohol is served. There is a swim-up bar. I felt like I was in Orlando. Kids will love this resort. There is so much to do. Kids pool has a slide and is under a shaded area. There is an olympic size pool and a wonderful mountain scape pool. Icecream is served outside and the workout room is fantastic, I wish I could've stayed longer to try everything. They even have fitness instructors. It is a full service resort. Just wonderful. Locals still think it is the Intercontinental hotel so remember if you need to ask directions. Read more

The room was nice, but could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom.....lobby was under construction, so a bit dusty. My biggest complaint is that my room was directly above the disco/bar & the loud music went on too late in the night.

Service wasn't great. Internet was a lot extra, then when we paid, not even their engineer could get us logged on, literally. Breakfast was WAY over priced. Just wasn't nearly worth the money. The property and rooms were very outdated. TONS of flies everywhere around the pool.

During my stay, it was under constraction for renovation so that the lobby was noisy. It was not good thing, but it won't continue forever, it's just a temporary one. The hotel is in a good location with the tourist attractions within easy reach. Although at the time of my stay the hotel was very busy, the staff were polite and helpful.
