Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable, I felt the hotel could have provided additional toiletries like handsoap, cotton wool, ear buds etc and the lighting in the bathroom was too dim around the mirror which made the application of make up rather difficult.

Great location to the train station. Cab is a fiver and you can walk to the Dover castle in about 30 minutes--we chose the downhill and a cab up to the castle Leave yourself time as we were not expecting all of the WWII history and would love to go back to learn more about the Castle. The View from our room was the Channel and the hotel is quite a little gem. The Staff was very helpful and made us feel at home.

Ideal for a short trip to Kent or overnight going or returning from France, the Oak is just a short distance from the M20 and the Eurotunnel. We stayed before going to france to get the xmas booze in!! Our room was excellent well appointed and the heater had been turned up ensuring it was warm and welcoming. Ate in the restaurent at night. Lovely pub, food really good, breakfast superb, staff very friendly but the bed was dreadful!! My brother and wife stayed in the next room and said the same! Another friend was also there and complained about their bed too. Shame as everything else was perfect but think the hotel need to invest in some new beds please.
