The hotel was fine but a lot of construction going on around the hotel making entry to the hotel difficult.

Looks deceiving in the net. Starting with the entrance rug need to wash, a small lifeless reception, elevator needs to b recondition the floor buttons are scratched and wornout,bathroom ceiling has molds, tub s high u almost hit ur head when u take a shower, there were no facetowels.no hooks for towels.Not enough drawers for ur clothes or a lagguage […] rack.bed is. TV s too big for the shelf there flat screen tv way cheaper than these esply by vol.You can smell the smoke frm. Other rooms n u can hear rhe noise in the hallway. At first the workers seemed nice and friendly until we had issues. We complained that we did not have hot water and the manager didnt seem too concerned, said he'll see what he can do to make sure it's working for the next customers. the room was dirty. there were little bugs crawling around and it was disgusting. The fridge had dirt in it.

the location of this hotel is great but when we were there the mrt is digging the road up for 4 years putting in a new underground station , it does say this on the website (i just didnt read it) its not the hotels fault and they cant do a thing about it but at the end of it its another plus for them being right outside an mrt station and they did what […] they could by putting everyone in the rear facing rooms and we didnt hear any noise so well done for that . the hotel is looking tyred and could do with a refurb but they keep clean what they have got. staff are good and freindly and always at the desk to help so that is another plus point. it says wifi is only in the lobby but i found the wifi was everywhere and in our room ( floor 11) and it was a good speed (skype with video worked well back to the uk) the rooms are basically furnished but loads of storage space the bed was quite big and comfortable but could have done with a couple more pillows (i didnt ask for any more so we could have had some if id asked)air con worked well but it did dry the air a bit aswell but its a small price to pay with the massive heat in singapore. all in all i only really wanted the hotel to put my head down at night and it did it fine but if i wanted more features from a hotel then i would look at others but for the money in the middle of singapore it was good for the money. My room was compact but comfortable for one person. Could be a squeeze if there were two of you as bed is only a small double, but the linen was clean and fresh. Was just like stepping back in time to a hotel from the 70's, except it had a 2012 price per night. The bed was hard and not made up properly, no fridge for cool drinks, broken cupboard doors, no shower curtain and the water from the shower sprayed all over the toilet. Even though it is anon smoking hotel it smells strongly of cigarette smoke as everybody […] was smoking in the stairs. The front end staff are very helpful and friendly but I think constrained by the owners lust for money. This hotel appears to be a favourite place for the local prostitutes. We had to put up with the noise of a loud domestic for about 45 minutes before the staff attended the floor we were on. The best thing that could happed to this hotel is that the earthworks for the new Bencoolen SMRT subway (right at the doorstep) cause damage to the building and it has to be demolished. Read more

It was okay for the price, you definitely get what you pay for, cramped room, right outside the window is where the MRT is doing new construction, the workers stop at 9pm and starts back up again around 8 or 9am (lots of noises) plus side you get free wifi

The hotel is well situated, within a walking distance from everything; staff was very pleasant and helpful, but the room was awful. It was very noisy, you could hear anyone who was walking on the hallway, the floor was quite dirty and the bathroom outdated. And it was quite pricy for the hostel condition that it offers.

I had a pretty long stay in this hotel for 13 nights. Generally, I would recommend if you are staying for only 1 or 2 nights anything more than that will be pretty expensive. Things good about the hotel Location The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can basically walked to many famous tourist spot. The followings are within 15 minutes: To […] the east you can find Sim Lim Square, Little India, Bugis Street, Bugis Junction To the south is City Hall (Raffles City, Suntec City, Citylink Mall) To the north is Orchard Road To the west is Clarke Quay. If you enjoy walking, this hotel is really a great place to stay. Even if you are not, the closest MRT station - Bras Basah is only 3 minutes away. But I do not recommend using this station as only the circle line (yellow) is serving it. It is deep down underground so it talks a long time to get to the platform and trains come much less frequently compare with the other lines. Instead of Bras Basah, you should just walk north to Dhoby Ghaut, which is only around 7 mins walk. Or down south to City Hall, around 10 mins walk. There is also a 24 hours food-court (and 7-11 but it is expensive) nearby so it is great. Hotel Facility The hotel itself is nothing bad. It is clean by most standard, the staffs are friendly and there isn't much noise at night unlike some other budget hotel. If you really want to stay for 1 or 2 nights, I would pretty recommend this place. Things bad about this Hotel Price I travel a lot, especially within Asia. The same price can get me a 5 star hotel in most south-east Asian countries. But this is not the hotel's problem, it is a normal price in Singapore. Probably the easiest way to get there is to take a Metro at Airport, change at Tanah Merah, change at Paya Lebar and get down at Dhobi Ghaut. You can walk down from there if you exit in a right way. We followed google maps and were suggested to get down at City Hall, from where it was quite a distance, especially with luggage and a baby.

Sure Singapore is expensive, but paying this much for the low standard of this hotel is rediculous. The standrad is lower than some of the backpacker-hotels we have visited - cigaret burns in the bathroom, a bathroom-celing about to fall down, old and sticky vinyl on the flor etc etv.
