The Hermitage Country House - Guest House - Isle of Wight (county)

We spent two nights at the Hermitage and by the end of them were so relaxed we did not want to leave. The hotel is set among trees which ring with birdsong in the morning and exude calm in the evening. The service is great and very understated. Certainly would book here on next visit to Island and already recommended to friends. Thought we knew Island well but this Hotel tucked away as it is was a wonderful surprise. Made so welcome. Compensated for unfortunate dreadful weather.

Very friendly, armchairs in our room VERY tired and uncomfortable, no milk on tea tray, TV not working properly. VERY small portions at dinner although very tasty. Food and wine very expensive. Fortunately booked through Expedia, not worth non Expedia price. Lovely setting and building, let down by the above comments. The devil's in the detail!

Quite charming hotel with friendly staff. Super breakfast . Book evening meal here as it is a lovely relaxed dining room , great service and good value compared with sea view so called restuarants . This hotel is hidden away in the countryside .

母娘で泊りました。レンタカーでの旅行です。バスルームがあるということで予約したのですが、行ってみると、ベッドルームはかなり格好をつけて広いのですが、シャワーしかなく、料金に見合わないと思いました。隠れ家風の屋敷ですが、たどり着くまでの道に標識が全くないので、何度も迷いました。標識がないのはわざとなのでしょうか。それにしてもわかりにくすぎる場所で、初めての人は迷うと思います。近くには民家も何もなく、食事はホテルでするしかありませんが、セットメニューしかなく、しかも、もう売り切れというメニューもありました。食事の量は日本人にはかなり多いです。

Grossartig. Es stimmt alles zusammen. Ohne Navigationsgerät im Auto aber wahrscheinlich nicht zu finden. Ziemlich weit abgelegen. Aber das ist auch das gross Plus dieses Hotels. Schöne Zimmer, bei denen jedes Detail stimmt. Küche gut, Personal etwas unbeholfen, aber sehr charmant. Es passt einfach alles.
