When planning our current trip, my husband said that he'd never been on the Atlantic coast and wanted to see it. I found the Wellington Hotel through hotels.com, and it looked nice so I booked it. Best. Decision. Ever. The hotel is wonderful, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the room combined old-fashioned charm with a very modern en-suite bathroom, and the location is stunning. Also a big selling point is the hotel's chef, who provided us with an incredible dinner and luscious desserts, with tea served in the warm and inviting loungee. My only warning is that the hotel doesn't have elevators and the rooms are two flights up, so be aware that you will be climbing stairs. if you don't have a problem with that, you're guaranteed a wonderful stay.

Once we had found our way down the narrow Cornwall lanes, we were very pleased with this B&B. The nearby Portscatho was just the sort of tiny coastal village we had hoped to find in Cornwall. It's a bit out-of-the-way, down narrow, hedge-row-lined lanes, but Trewithian Farm is a lovely place with pleasant hostess and fine English breakfast.

Hearty, gourmet food - best on entire trip!! Extraordinarily helpful hosts at front desk who helped research bus schedules and gave a lift to town. Local bus stop very near. Lovely walking trails at nearby manor house gardens.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pine Lodge. The owners were very helpful. They gave us great directions and offered good suggestions for things to do. Breakfast was included and tasty. It was a bit away from the action but that worked for us and we loved Porth Beach. We would recommend and will stay there again.

It was a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The service was outstanding. All staff members were very friendly and always tried to help. Very easygoing atmosphere, ideal for family vacation.

We spent 3 nights here the end of July, 2011, and were very impressed with this B&B. The owners are absolutely wonderful! They treat guests as visiting friends, doing all that they possibly can to make your stay a delight. The building is situated on the main beach drive, with beautiful views of both the closest local beach as well as of the cliff-top […] hiking area directly across the street. It's a central and scenic location, that is (thankfully) not in the heart of the neighbouring and more frantic town of Newquay (although it's less than 2 miles away.) The place is immaculately clean, with freshly-ironed sheets and a sitting area with a killer view for all guests to share. The same view is seem from the breakfast area, where generous full English breakfasts are served. Our bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay here immensely. The one factor that kept me from rating this more highly was the small size of our bathroom, with the sink location inside the bedroom, rather than in the bathroom. This is, however, a very slight negative, and as we had booked, last minute, it was one of the last available rooms. This would not be the case in the larger rooms in the very front of the house, upstairs. Ask when booking about the ensuite set up in the available rooms. We took all of Alex's thoughtful advice to heart, including rushing to make reservations to eat at Jamie Oliver's restaurant ("Fifteen") closeby (also recommended!) Excellent value for money ! Ideally located in the small village of Porth to the north of Newquay, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, but still within reasonable walking distance. The hosts were so wonderful and helpful. I cannot believe that the place was so clean and beautiful. It made my trip completely worthwhile. It is located next to Porth beach and has beautiful green pathways to walk up on the hill. I clicked amazing pictures around the area and my room which I have attached.
