Baekje Hotel - Seoul

If you are looking to stay somewhere really nice with ammenities, this is not your hotel. However, if you are in the area (this is almost to Gimpo airport and therefore not a convenient location if you're purpose is to explore Seoul) and you are just looking for a place to lay your head in between going out and doing other things, for the price, the […] Baekje can't be beat. We've stayed there twice, and the man at the front desk is always very nice and helpful, even with a bit of a language barrier. Also, they have free popcorn, ice cream, and drinks in the lobby, which is a nice touch. The beds are hard, which is typical of Korea (even though the description says "memory foam mattress"), but the rooms are clean. Also, its a bit hard to find. The cab drivers don't seem to know it, and if you put it in gps it comes up as the Nyx, which is not the same hotel. It's also about a 15 minute walk from the downtown built up area, but its not so bad - there is an excellent restaurant there called the Yellow Pub. Like I said, the Baekje isn't going to be your dream hotel, but for the class of hotel it is, I give it the big thumbs up. Read more

Refrigerator and in-room computer did not work. Was very far from sightseeing activities in Seoul. Fun karaoke bar nearby. Convenience store right outside, with restaurants and bars around the corner. The best feature is the very helpful staff.

My experience of this hotel was positive from the first day. They offered a ride to and from the subway station, and the driver was courteous and friendly. If I'm not mistaken, they also provide a transportation to and from the airport as long as someone is available. The room was cozy and came with a computer with the Internet access, which also had […] a plenty of choices for movies. The neighborhood had a plenty of places to eat at a very low price. The high light was probably the free ice cream and bottled water that I could grab whenever I wished to. The location is 2 or 3 bus stops from the subway station or you could have a nice 15 min. walk; I had no problem walking even at night. However, it is at the west end of Seoul, and it takes a bit of travel to the Center City. Overall, the service was great, and the price was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. We booked this hotel because we came during a very busy weekend--95% of the rooms in Seoul were booked--and we couldn't find another reasonable option. The Baekje Hotel seems to be a "love hotel," but we didn't find that to be a problem as we hardly ever saw any of the other people staying there. In the "lobby" (just a hallway) the hotel provides free […] toast, popcorn, Korean ice cream treats, and bottles of tea. The revolving group of young men staffing the desk were uniformly helpful. The room was small but clean and comfortable and included a computer and big screen TV. The bathroom was odd--no shower curtain but a heated toilet seat. This is a case of "you get what you pay for" and we were satisfied with that. Since we found Korea to be expensive, we were grateful to have an inexpensive hotel. Booked Baekje Hotel under the impression that it is a hotel. However, upon arrival, realised it is a motel. Staff is friendly, but communication is a problem. Breakfast is only bread, left next to check-in counter, on first-come-first-serve basis, and you will have to DIY. The disposable comb in my room was found to be entangled with hair - obviously […] used one. The motel provides free flow of drink - wheat tea, green tea, and another unknown tea in 500ml bottle. There is also free flow of pop corn - salty flavour only. Additionally, free flow of icecream... What is lacking: no closet (as what we would be expect from a hotel), remote controller is all in korean - unable to find the right button for warm air, no wireless internet - the staff showed me a LAN cable instead of giving me wireless passkey. What is good: apparently a good variety of free flow, rooms are properly sound proof - guess for the obvious reason, courteous and friendly staff - but difficult to communicate due to language barrier. Could be a good choice for budget traveling, but definitely not business trip. Read more

This is one of Korea's many "Love Motels" but don't ket that keep you away from staying here. Comfortable bed, nice big flatscreen TV. A/C worked well but the internet on the computer was really slow. Bathroom was big and ventilated. Long term stay I wouldn't recommend but for an overnight or 2-3 day stay it's just right.

Clean. Very friendly staff. Easy location for restaurant, but far from subway and sight seeing. Good for business travel or business related to Yeoido. A little expensive. But staff are very friendly and helpful and speak a little English.

ホテルではなくモーテルです。 タクシーの人も電話で聞かないと分からない程の場所です。 駅から遠く、ホテル名も違う名称でした。確かMJmotel・・？ 近隣には多くのMOTELがあり、価格も半分以下です。 ここで予約しなくても近隣で30000Wくらいでとまれます。

ホテル自体は価格に比べてよかったですよただ冷蔵庫がまったく機能してないです(-_-) あとソウル中心まで地下鉄で一時間弱かかると思っていいでしょう。 最後に有名なホテルじゃないんで正確な場所と電話番号くらいは確実に把握しておいたほうがいいです。

急な留学の決まった娘一人の空室がなく、空いているホテルがこのホテルで、親として選択したことに、後悔している。一人で、3日も、じっと過ごしたとのこと、もう少しホテル情報がほしい。
