Hampton Inn and Suites Chattanooga/Downtown - Chattanooga

This hotel was fantastic. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy. We walked everywhere we went with 3 small children. They loved the pool. There were a lot of good choices for breakfast also. We go to Chattanooga a lot and we will definitely stay here again!

Overall nice place to stay. Perfect location to the venue we were visiting (Tivoli Theatre) and close to downtown area. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. Staff were also very courteous and helpful the few times I spoke with them. Didn't check out amenities but I can't imagine them being poor. I will say the only qualm I had: when we first arrived […] (around 4 pm), house keeping was on our floor. As they would go in and out of rooms they would allow the doors to slam. Nice, new hotel. Rode the free shuttle every where we went, which was nice. Shuttle pick up was just around the corner from the hotel front door. Close to several places to eat. Parking is limited at the hotel. Very friendly staff.

I stayed here a few weeks back and it was great. You're close to downtown but just far enough away from the craziness for some peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. I liked having private parking garage. Great service. I will defiantly be staying there again whenever I'm in Chattanooga visiting.

The staff was great and very attentive. However, you are really paying for the location. The hotel is nice but I have stayed in nicer ones and didn't pay as much. Also, be prepared to pay $8 (plus tax) a day for parking. I've never paid for parking for staying at a hotel. I was a little shocked by this.

We loved the location of this hotel. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The hotel was very clean with a modern, fun decor. The staff was super firendly. The free breakfast was decent and very convenient. The only two things that we didn't expect was the double queen room we reserved was pretty small. The location was perfect, the room was beautiful, but we experienced several inconveniences. First we were sent to the wrong room. Second, the pool was closed due to a "potty accident", and did not open until checkout the next day. Third, shortly after checking in, I asked about doing laundry, got change and bought detergent. After putting my clothing, […] soap and money in the machine, I saw that the "start" button was missing. Upon reporting this to the desk, they said they knew that the machine had a missing part, and suggested that I stick a pen through the hole to find the start button that way. After getting the pen stuck inside the hole in the washer (sorry, but your employee suggested it!), I transfered my clothes to the other washer, scooped out as much detergent as I could to the other washer, and got my $2 back from the desk. Lastly, I used the guest computer to buy tickets for a local attraction before checking out. When I tried to print my documents, nothing happened. I then was told that the printer was broken. She let me log on to the computer behind the front desk and print from the printer there (not sure I should have been behind your front desk!), which solved my issue. The room itself was fantastic, and the breakfast was very good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. But with so many inconveniences, the overall experience was disappointing. All of the downtown attractions are within two blocks of the hotel. The downtown area is very clean and family friendly. Lots of restaurants and few bars. The river walk was an unexpected treat and the arts district was an awesome find. Both within walking distance of the hotel. Can't wait to visit Chattanooga again.

I requested a crib on expedia. Expedia advised I contact hotel directly. Well I forgot and the hotel was out of cribs. I was panicking. Well they called the hotel across the street and was able to get me a crib. That was a great relief.

Staff was very friendly and offered local dining recommendations on request. Rooms were great and exactly as they appeared in the pictures. Sink was seperate from the shower/toilet, this allowed for people to continue to get ready in front of sink/mirror while others showered. They had standard complimentary soap, shampoo, etc.... However, all of it […] was next to the sink, which was as stated, was not within reach of the shower, so be sure to grab what you need before hopping in and beginning your search! Decor was mostly modern, but furniture remained comfortable. Pool area was kept very clean. The fire pits were lit at night, this provided a nice view of the courtyard area. Hotel was located within walking distance of restaurants, clubs, an aquarium, and more stuff I'm sure we didn't see on our 1 night walk through. The one and only negative to take note of, is that there are two parking areas. The top parking area is small and very cramped. But provides immediate access to the second floor should your room be there. This is the one we ended up at first, getting the last park available, and having to perform a 5 point turn to get back out. The bottom parking holds more cars and is alot more spacious, but requires a walk backup car ramps or stairs to get back to ground level to walk into hotel. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the downtown area. Read more
