Hotel De Grignan was a wonderful place to stay in Vichy. We were there for the Opera and it was located just a few blocks away with several good restaurants nearby. The hotel staff spoke English, which was a great help to us. They even planned out a personal walking tour map for us. Everything to see was within walking distance of the hotel. The room was a bit small but had great storage, a good bathroom with a shower and a great balcony. We would definitely stay there again and we will recommend this hotel to friends! This was a fabulous 'find'. Completely unknown to us, the setting was in an elegant thermal spa town. The hotel lived up to its name Splendid. The room was spacious with a balcony with pleasant view. Downstairs one could take the waters where various thermals spas were pumped to flowing taps where one could sample 4 different waters containing different minerals. Best feature of all was the outdoor heated swimming pool with fabulous view of the surrounding hills and pine forests. It was like stepping into a lukewarm bath and a total delight after a long drive to relax in such a manner. (Only open from late Spring to early Autumn).Must certainly make point of visiting this hotel again.

La chambre de quatre est grande ainsi que la salle de bain. Mais le niveau d'entretien ( délabrement de la moquette, carrelage qui se décolle...) est d'un niveau trop bas. Les escaliers sont très étroits et j'ai eu du mal à monter au 3ième avec mes béquilles.

Le parking est complet, allez-vous garer à 800m dans un parking public gratuit sans surveillance (en fait la place du marché ou un truc comme ca avec tous les risques d'attaque du véhicule de passage). Le wifi est n'est pas visible ou le code n'est pas bon. Petit déjeuner cher pour ce qui est servi : une boisson chaude, un jus d'orange, 1 croissant […] et un bout de pain, beurre, confiture. pas de céréales, pas de buffet. sanitaire vieillot à refaire. une climatisation est dans la chambre mais il n'y a pas assez long de fil pour la brancher : donc chaleur dans la chambre jusqu'à 2 heures du matin avec les fenêtres ouvertes. Le nouveau classement d'étoiles va obliger surement cet hotel a se remettre en question et à se rénover. Read more

Pas de bonnes impressions un manque d'entretient les murs parlent d'eux mêmes c'est vieillot et pas de renovation depuis très longtemps alors que ça pourrai être un super hotel qui est bien situé

We found it odd that we had to pay before we could check in, so we found out when we got to the room. It was dingy and smelled old, etc., both in the hallway and the room. When we contacted the hotel owner and told him that we did not want to stay the two days we had planned, he suddenly did not understand English and was not willing to change the length […] of stay, or other solutions.
