This hotel is awesome! The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are equipped with every comfort (some with Jacuzzi, four poster bed, mini bar, etc.) We have stayed in Panoramique-as well as in the patio room and we liked it very well in both. The beautifully landscaped grounds include a pool (directly at the hotel) and a private beach […] (approx. 700 meters/5-10 minutes walk). There is also a good restaurant in the hotel where you can have breakfast (you can also order it the room), lunch and dinner (the food though is rather high price) The only (minor) drawback is that the hotel is located 20 minutes from Porto-Vecchio and the road is very curvy/narrow. This brings the advantage though that you can perfectly relax in this seclusion. This hotel is highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel of character perfect for a romantic stay"
07/13/14 LiliePao London, United Kingdom
Lovely boutique hotel - room was spacious, with a comfortable king size bed, separate bathroom and toilet. private terrace with a (rather distant) view of the sea. The restaurant setting is lovely alongside the negative-edge swimming pool, with views of the sea and surrounding hills. Food was excellent, and we would recommend taking the half-board option. Breakfast juices are fresh, large assortment of cakes, breads and pastries, which took us through the day to dinner. Dinner is a set menu, but if you want to order something off the a la carte menu you can substitute for an additional cost (that is clearly explained). Service is friendly and helpful. It's not cheap, but neither is anywhere else in Corsica. Also, like many places in Corsica, you need a car - one parking space is allocated per room. It's a 10-15min walk to the beautiful Palombagia beach, and the hotel will run you there in a golf buggy is you want. Highly recommended!
"Nice hotel but overpriced"

Pros: - Excellent service - Nice private beach - Nice unlimited edge pool Cons: - Definitely overpriced for the kind of resort itself according to the international standards - Long distance driving to reach the hotel around the road Palombaggia - Room mantainance needs to be done: doors are making lots of noise on opening and closing, terrace door cannot be locked, no boiler, no coffee machine, etc. - Lots of mosquitos(but this is applicable in general in Corsica.), with the price they charge, a daily fumination could be requested.
"When in area of Porto Vecchio, search for tranquility and comfort"
05/24/14 Luberon4ever Einsiedeln, Switzerland
This nice bergerie is just 700 m from the famous Palombaggia beach, away from the crowd... Just enjoy the amazing view, the absolute nice patio (large room, good bed and bathroom and on top a terrasse to enjoy the full day sun). The infinity pool is loungy, a bit fresh mid May when we were there, but what to say. Service is great, warm welcome, 2 times a day clean towels in bathroom, 'lekker' breakfast and the cook is making gastronomic meals. It's 15 minutes away from Porto Vecchio by car, no worries about restaurants in 5 minutes drive.. One night is too short, try a 2 or 3 say to fully enjoy the comfort and location.
"A beautiful spot"

I spent two nights in this hotel and l have been very impressed by the location and the quality of the suites. The staff is very helpful and gentle. It is a very natural and quite place where life is going very smoothly.

This hotel was the highlight of a holiday my wife and I took to Corsica last September. The hotel is situated on a hillside with a wonderful view of the sea and beach. The rooms / small cottages were modern, exceptionally comfortable and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was excellent and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. All round a great success.
"Mosquitoes in stead of Mojitos"

Stayed for 3 nights and some 2,5k euros, including some food and wine. The first impression of the place is good, and in deed, the villas are nice, clean and even the shower works like nowhere else in southern Europe. Then comes the evening and first dinner. The food is great if you can remember something about it. The entrees were accompanied by angry bees, followed later on by mosquitoes. And I don't mean one occasional mosquito, there's a number of them, feasting on your flesh. So we ate take-away pizza in the villa for the remaining nights. Finally, there's the road to the beach, 800 meters long with 40 meters elevation. So it's not really near, at least for children and we opted to go by car to the nearby beach parking areas. As a conclusion, the hotel is nice (by daytime) but totally overpriced. We will definitely not return there.

This hotel is totally incoherent. It has no discernible personality. Parts of it are quite nice and others are appalling. The two worst aspects were our room, which had no view from either the room or the terrace and little direct light - it felt as if we were in a basement - and, secondly but not least, the truly horrible "restaurant" which served almost inedible food in tiny quantities at outrageous prices. The chef had absolutely no clue what the clients needed in the way of food and, despite several conversations with him, was entirely deaf to our pleas. He spent hours chopping and assembling (which meant a long wait at table) to produce something that resembled a child's Lego creation and was pretty unpalatable. In order to feed ourselves we took nearly all our meals outside the hotel as did all the other families, which was very inconvenient and unrelaxing. The décor was pretty banal and not particularly comfortable - the seating in the restaurant and round the pool wasn't great and there wasn't enough shade. The pool was quite nice, though not much fun for children (of whom there were many at the hotel) and not really swimmable - people just hung around in it trying to keep cool. We didn't enjoy our holiday and certainly won't be returning to this very odd and overpriced establishment.
"A luxery B&B"

When you see the pictures at internet you will surprise when you arrive. It is a compact area with the swimmingpool, terrace and reception. We had a patio room, spacious, only the patio may have a little bit more flowers. In front of our room there where working activities but not too noisy. Great is the access to the beach and yes it is a large sandy beach but when you go to the left from the parking area you have Chez Pierre with restaurant and sunbeds and another sunbed restaurant. We had dinner one night and the service was good and also the food. We don't like the music, in tje morning it was very classic and gloomy, play your music from Corse!! Also surprising is to pay for a egg € 5,00 when the price of the breakfast is € 22,00. Many thanks for helping reparing our broken carwindow.
"South of Corsica : Special price without reasons....."

This hotel is correct but only if you pay half of the requested price. But I think that they follow the trend in this area : very expensive for only standard service..... Go to the north of Corsica, they work for their tourists, that it is not the case in Porto-Vecchio : 60 % of the restaurants are closed the Sunday evening in July !!!!!!

We rented one of the so called mini-villa's in this so called 4 star hotel "Bergeries de Palombaggia". Later we found out that the mini villas were only 2 stars and no service what so ever. When we arrived the 1st impression was nice, nice reception, nice pool (bit small like others mentioned in the trip advisers blog). We were shown the mini villa, looked old and definately not like a 4 star accomodation. We settled in and found out there was no soap in the mini villa, so called the reception. They mentioned no the mini villa is not supplied with soap. Just in case I asked at what time the were planning to make up the beds and change towels, answer was there is no service, no cleaning appart from the end of the week cleaning which needs to be paid by the renter. Basically they supply 1 smal and a little bigger towel FOR THE WEEK. Oh yes and 1 beach towel not to forget. You can immagine that did not ammuse me at all. Luckily we were 4 in a mini villa of 6 so there were a couple of extra towels and we managed to pass the week. You go to the beach a lot you would immagine, so take a shower 2 times a day. The hotel offers a beach entrance, so we went down with the strawler, sure its a 10 minute walk down this sandy road. We come at the beach and there is nothing but sand. No little place for an ice cream or so just nothing but sand and water. I normally don't have a problem with that, but with a small baby not an option. So we had to drive down to a private beach a bit further down the coast. The hotel proposes also massages so we tried a couple of those..... We asked where is the wellness room/center, answer: It's in you mini villa. We thought, but where, but let the thing happen. The maseuse proposed outside, so we thought OK, why not. After 2/3 minutes completely attacked by moskitos, she said we need to do it inside. After looking around, there was no space, so basically I had to carrry a bed out of a room to fit in the massage table. That was the solution. Everything but relaxing...... You would need a massage after that.... Breakfast (you pay 20 euros per person) is not well supplied at all. The staff doesn't propose to make eggs or what ever. It was only that I saw 1 person having an egg, so I asked and than the server said, oh yes no problem in 15 minutes I have to serve a bunglow some breakfast. Very annoying. Other than that the buffet was small and fruit brown etc. Lots of wasps and not comforable aswell. We stayed in a 3 star hotel in Calvi, for half the price, which had a lot better breakfast than this one. At some point, since we were traveling with small children, we checked if it was possible to get breakfast in the mini villa, since it was served in the bungalow next door! Answer was NO no service provided in the mini villas. So happend the bundalow just below us belonged to the hotel and our mini villa not. Same with dinner, dinner was served all the time at our neighbors just below. We booked half board, since we have small kids and basically we wanted a relaxing holiday and not travel too much. At our arrival the receptionist told us, they canceled the monday since the restaurant was closed........ Strange for a hotel that offers half-board. Have to say the dinner was the only nice thing in this place that you cannot even call a hotel. So at least something good in this "place". I so happened to pass my other neighbour and he told me he was offered a hotel service package at the time of booking. So when we checked out and the question came if we had a good time, I told the receptionist it was a very dissappointing experience. And when I asked why one neightbour was proposed hotel service (at a price obviously), she said I booked probably too early, they started offering this service only later. I fail to understand why nobody afterwards did propose this service even though I repeatedly expressed my dis-satisfaction.... At the end she told me the mini-villas were only 2 STARS. Basically you pay a 4 star hotel but get 2 stars. the receptionist expressed her appologies, but that was it. If you just want to rent a bungalow without anything, you can go there. Expensive for what it was. Us NEVER AGAIN. PS: Basically the problem with us was, we thought to have booked a nice relaxing holiday in a 4 star hotel, which turned out to be a dissappointment. Maybe if you know in advance there is no service what so ever you can bring your stuff, towels, food etc into the so called mini villa and have a nice holiday. We were just expecting something else........
