This is a real gem. Quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of many of the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The furnishings in the lobby, restaurant and the rooms give the hotel a nice family feeling. Would stay there again. Can be a little hard to find.

Easy 5 minute walk to the center of town, the hotel was comfortably removed from the insanity of Brugge's tourist-impact zone. Great free breakfast, friendly reception, and comfortable bed. The hotel has its own bar (ring the bell to get the desk clerk to come up and mix you a drink) and a nice, tranquil outdoor patio with tables and chairs for kicking back during the good weather season. Only thing that could be improved is the bed pillows - they reminded me of a flat bag full of rocks. Thank you Hotel Ter Brughe, we will plan to stay with you again when we return to Brugge.

Nice modern hotel in a medevil setting, parking underground, with a restaurant . . one way street entrance . . short interesting walk to where central Brugge starts . . cobblestone streets . . really cute and interesting town

"The Hotel Cathedral in Gent - Quiet & Quaint"
We had a very nice three night stay at the Hotel Cathedral. It was a convenient location for us and only a short walk from the Gent-Dampoort train station - I do wish that we had better walking directions from the train station - but we did make it after asking directions from quite a few locals. The hotel staff was most helpful in directing us to local […] attractions within Gent. The Patershol area and City center areas are easily reached by walking from the hotel. The hotel itself is an older building but we found it to be very clean, quiet, quaint and accommodating. We didn't take advantage of the full price breakfast buffet but we were able to get coffee, tea and pasteries in the morning for a reasonable price. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Cathedral again! Read more
