"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.
"Comfortable & Convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Very comfortable room; close to airport - which is what I wanted.

"Hotel? Try dorm room..."
DONT BE FOOLED! It's not even a hotel! It's at the university of Montreal - not even close to downtown Montreal or the Latin Quartier (where the fun/interesting spots are) -and it's basically just a dorm room - you even have to share toilets and shower stalls like in a dorm. Sorry I did that for two years in college - I DONT want to have to pay for […] it. If you don't care where you stay and just want a cheap place to lay your head while in Montreal - by all means book. But if I would have known this is what it was, I would have just paid the extra 50 bucks to stay at a legit hotel downtown with actual guest services, room service, pool and a bed that didn't feel liek cardboard. OH and my own bathroom. Read more

"Not a real hotel"
This space is college forms turned into singles.
"This is not a hotel- this is DORMS"
I was booking in a rush and didn't realize that this was a dormitory type room. This should be clearly stated in the room description which is missing. The noise level can be high as there is absolutely no noise isolation- every door that opens or closes in the corridor is hear. The shower/ restroom was far from my room.
"Les Studios Montreal - Budget"
They don't try to hide what it is from you online, but it really isn't much more. The price was good for Montreal, but the beds were dorm beds and extremely uncomfortable, and the hotel was hard to find. Not a bad idea for a long stay, but for two people in that little room, it may be worth it to pay a little more each night for an actual hotel.
"les Studios hotels Universite de Montreal"
Overall the hotel was exactly what I expected. It provided the most basic living conditions to a few optional fancier living accommodations. the internet was very affordable, I liked that there was a fridge and sink in the room. In the living room on my floor I noticed a spider problem...(maybe some exterminator service would be of use?) and that turned […] me off from using that room. I knew going in that the bathroom would be shared, and was fine with it... Had a great stay! Read more

Don't be fooled by the title... this is not actually a hotel. It is a dormitory for University of Montreal, and they rent out extra rooms during the slow summer months. The bed is plastic and very uncomfortable, you get one very small pillow, and the bathrooms are community-style (aka down the hall). They do not replace your sheets and towels unless […] you stay more than a week (and you only get one towel and one washcloth, unless you request more). The continental breakfast costs extra, and a little too much extra in my opinion. Wi-Fi also costs extra (very pricey). It is not located close to downtown at all-- in order to go downtown you will need to take the metro, 2 or more buses, or drive. (And a taxi to or from downtown will cost you about $20 each way.) The price is good, but there are many extra costs that make it not very worthwhile to stay here. On the plus side, the staff were all very kind, and there was ample storage space in the room (cabinets etc). I would not stay here again but if you need a cheaper option, it's not the worst place ever to stay. I personally recommend shelling out an extra $15-$20 per night for a real hotel. Read more

Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the beds were very uncomfortable and pillows were a bit flat. It was nice that the rooms had a fan, as it was very hot at night. It would be nice if the rooms had a microwave in addition to the fridge. It was nice that they were able to provide an additional night […] stay, especially as our primary accommodation plans fell through on the Friday night/Saturday morning we arrived from Cambridge, Ontraio; you were a life saver. Cheap and 20 minutes outside of the downtown core by subway. Safe and clean just a little outside of the core.
"Le studio Dorm Room."
this is going to be brief... you'll be staying in a college dorm room... the bed is short and uncomfortable vinyl, there is one bathroom ber gender per floor (wear shower shoes), there's no air conditioning, no tv, street or paid parking, paid internet, and paid breakfast. It's a dorm. I've been to european hostels that were half the price, and nic […] er. Read more
"The recommendation."
If you want a chipper hotel, and don't mind for the confort, I mean, in my case I just need a hotel for sleep because I pass all the day doing activities, it's ok, it's far from downtown but the subway is easy to use. I went alone, if I was with my family, I didn't went there.

"Les Studios Hotel - last resort"
We stayed here as it was all we could find around Grand Prix that wasn't hugely expensive. It's a university dorm. It's not a hideous property, but the room was terrible. The bed was plastic, and the sheet kept coming off so we literally kept waking up on plastic. The pillow was plastic, also, and the room was basically the size of the bed. The location […] was not good for us, as we needed to be downtown every day, which took at least 1/2 by metro, and you had to change trains. Although the surrounding area is pretty, with leafy streets, there are no amenities close, so you have to either walk 20 mins + or catch the metro to get anywhere. We got sick of the metro, and instead starting catching cabs, and it was about $20 to downtown. Read more
"It is not a hotel"
It is a dorm, there is no TV, no shower and no toilet in your room, there is one in Hallway with share with whole floor.
