The best part about this hotel is its location right in Diocletian's palace on the Split boardwalk. My wife and I stayed for two nights in September. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the boardwalk and was comfortable but the hot water would run out quickly resulting in a couple of cold showers (we weren't the earliest risers in the hotel). The service is modest but friendly and helpful. Best of all you walk out the door and you're right by the palace, the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. We can highly recommend the hotel.

Location.
Situated near the beach, Royal is in the heart of Split, within walking distance of Saint Duje Bell Tower and Bacvice Beach. Also nearby are Diocletian's Palace and Split Cathedral.

I was here for one night and it was one of the best rooms and hotels I stayed at while in Croatia. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to talk with (yes in English). The room was perfect, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. This was a really nice place to stay just a few minutes walk from Split's old town area. Our room was great - decent size,good bed, with a balcony overlooking the city streets. The hotel itself was tiny - only about 6 room in total, and was in a larger apparement building so you had to get up a flight of stairs to get in (and no lift). Staff were […] always on reception though,and always friendly / happy to help. Free WiFi,with decent signal strength/speed. Breakfasts were good - not a huge selection, but enough food and variety to fill you up. And also had the best coffee, compared to other Croatian hotels we stayed at. The management and staff of this boutique hotel were as equally professional and as courteous as any five star hotel we have stayed with.The room was very clean and well appointed. Hyvän keskitason pieni hotelli lähellä nähtävyyksiä. Hotelli sijaitsee kerrostalon kolmannessa kerroksessa ilman hissiä. Autolla tulijan on melkein mahdotonta löytää hotellin pienelle parkkipaikalle, korttelirallia pitkin yksisuuntaisia ja umpeen parkkeerattuja katuja pitkin tuli varmaan tunti.
