The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.
Location.
Overlooking the Keizenrsgracht Canal, this family-run boutique hotel is located in the historical center of Amsterdam. The property is just a short distance from the Jordaan district, Anne Frank House, Royal Palace, and Dam Square.
Hotel Features.
Established as a hotel in 1969, Hotel The Toren is set in historic canal house that was built in 1916. The hotel offers a fireplace in the lobby and is accented by original architecture and classic furnishings. The hotel offers a 24-hour airport shuttle, and the on-site multi-lingual concierge is available for tour/ticket assistance. Currency exchange and self parking are also located on site. For business travelers, the property features a conference room with audiovisual equipment, business services, and wired and wireless Internet access. While there is not a restaurant on site, guests may order room service from the Restaurant Christophe, located just around the corner. Coffee is also available in the lobby and a bar/lounge is present in the hotel.
Guestrooms.
With individual decorations and furnishings, each of the hotel's unique 36 rooms and suites is relatively small in size, but equipped with modern amenities. Room sizes range from 18 square meters from Double rooms to 34 square meters for the largest suites. All rooms are outfitted with 37-inch LCD cable televisions with premium channels and pay movies, telephones, complimentary wireless Internet access, minibars, coffee/tea makers, and in-room safes. Each room also has a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, slippers, and a hair dryer. Iron/ironing boards are available on request.

"Best hotel in Amsterdam"
Upon arrival we were upgraded to a larger room, partly because we we're traveling during the off season, but nonetheless our room was gorgeous. Largest room we had seen in Europe. Ornate decorations and very clean. Beautiful view of the canals from our windows. Bathroom was adequate. Not huge but big for European standards with a nice comfortable shower […] and whirlpool bathtub. Hotel staff was very accommodating and spoke English very well. The toren is in a perfect location to walk to any of the museums, red light, theatre district and any other tourist sights in Amsterdam. We had numerous people taxi drivers and locals tell us it was the best hotel in Amsterdam and they were right. It was perfect! Read more

We arrived in the morning after a very early flight expecting to leave our bags in the luggage store as arranged . We were told that we could have our room in half an hour , around 10am and then found we had been upgraded to a lovely room with large jacuzzi . spotlessly clean and the staff go out of their way to help . excellent location about two minutes […] walk from Anne Frank house with plenty of cafes bars and restaurants nearby . Amsterdam has something for everyone and our three full days stay were very busy taking in the culture . On checking out I had a problem with the lock on my suitcase - handyman was there in minutes and my case containing flight tickets and passports soon opened - he would not even take a tip for coming to our rescue . top class service - if you want a hotel where you will be well looked after this is the one for you Read more

We had a nice weekend in Amsterdam and Toren was an excellent place to stay to experience the city. Great rooms and very serviceminded and friendly staff.

"Midt i smørøyet"
Hyggelig kitch-hotell med serviceminded personale midt i smørøyet i Amsterdam. Koselig beliggenhet ved kanalen og gåavstand til spenndende, små independent-butikker, cafeer og restauranter. Dette var vårt 2. besøk på to år, og bor gjerne der igjen.

God beliggenhed og tæt v alt. Sjovt hotel, meget plys og velour! Lille værelse m udsigt til baggård. Godt bad. God kaffemaskine på værelset.
