The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.

We stayed 2 weeks. The owner and staff are very efficient, accommodating, and pleasant. The location was perfect and the facility was excellent. We will stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

Situated in Bath, Aquae Sulis Guest House is in the suburbs and close to Bath City Farm, Roman Baths, and Bath Abbey. Also nearby are Royal Crescent and No. 1 Royal Crescent.

"Not Near the City Centre but Cozy and Beautiful"
Just a warning, if you don't have a car, take the bus or a taxi to Aquae Sulis as it's about an hour walk from the train station. My husband and I learned this the hard way. Once we got there, the B & B was wonderful; the staff was very friendly and the room was cozy. They were kind enough to arrange for a taxi to take us to the city for dinner and […] our breakfast the next day was great. I would recommend Aquae Sulis to anyone going to Bath but definitely make sure you have a convenient way of getting there! Read more
"A lovely feeling without any luxe pretensions"
This hotel is old fashioned and unrenovated, and we loved it that way. There is great charm is in its lack of pretension, but above all a lovely feeling is provided by the staff and owners, who combine kindness, patience and good humour in all their interactions. The rooms are small but comfortable - no room to swing a cat, but somehow relaxing - and […] you can make a quiet cuppa in it, too. The breakfast is very good, and each room has its own historic English name which is used to locate your table (I was thrilled to be in the Jane Austen room). However, it is a 10 minute bus ride from the town centre, so if anonymity and proximity are your main criteria, stay closer in. The hotel is on a fairly busy road, so the front rooms have a bit of traffic noise in the mornings - but since I always travel with earplugs, that was no problem. This is a very comfortable little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day in Bath.

"A fanstatic place to stay"
A very well-maintained guest house. There is a beautiful garden at the backyard. The room is spotless. The location is slightly far from Bath city centre, but because we drove, the distance was not an issue.

Spotless room and bathroom with good facilities in the bedroom, e.g. WiFi/nice TV and in communal areas, e.g. use of computer to get on the web. Friendly, helpful owners. Location is a couple of miles from centre of town but reflected in price of room. Would stay here again if visiting Bath.
