Nice quieter location a bit away from central Seaside, with easy access to the beach. The view on the ocean side looks first at a parking lot, and the inn is essentially a motel, but the rooms are large and they are dog friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location was perfect. Staff was amazing. They have bikes and beach toys, so no need to try and travel with them. Only thing missing was a pool and hit tub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Right on the beach"
If you want to be right on the ocean, this is a great place to stay. A little old, but clean. Might be a bit too pricy for the location you are mile or so from downtown seaside if you take the walkway in front of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Couldn't have asked for better!"
Loved our stay and wish it could have been longer! At checkin we received great dinner recommendations, and the suite was great for our adult family of 6. The available beach cruisers were fun too, as we were right on the beach boardwalk. I'd definitely recommend this place!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Off the beaten path. Quiet and relaxing."
I loved that this was right on the beach and away from the main drag. I also noticed they are pet friendly (and include towels and water bowls for your furry friends). It was clean, quiet, and relaxing, but a bit far to get something to eat. There is a kitchenette though....came in handy for a nice glass of wine, some cheese, and a kick your feet up […] and relax kind of afternoon. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff, fantastic views"

We had a wonderful couple of days and nights in this fantastic hotel. All the rooms (family get together) were clean, nicely furnished and the hotel had all the amenities one could ever wish for. It is located right on the beach with a paved walking path that takes you to the center of Seaside.
"I thought this place was amazing."

I cannot speak more highly of our experience. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We took our three kids and we enjoyed the convenience of the beach being two minutes away. I will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Pleasant and friendly staff. They have beach toys (buckets, shovels, boogie boards) so no need to try and travel with them. They also have bikes and movies you can use. Rooms were clean and newly updated, we were very comfortable there. Right on the ocean, yet not in the crazy busy downtown area. Only down side is no pool or hot tub, but there is a beach/ocean.

This place is outstanding. Very nice room (#102) with a great view. Only there for one night but worth it to take a dunk in the Pacific. Nice Jacuzzi in the bathroom and a fine gas fireplace. We liked this hotel and hope to make it back sometime.
"Inn at the Shore made our vacation amazing!"

Perfect location for our family vacation! Our room over looked the ocean and was very clean and well decorated. Enjoyed the fireplace in the evening while listening to the ocean waves. The staff was very helpful. Friendly upon arrival, helpful by letting us know about bikes that were available to guest to ride up and down the Prom, which we did several times. There is a gas grill on the patio that the staff got started for us when we needed it and they had a basket full of supplies! What a nice touch! Sitting in the jetted tub at the end of the day soaking in bath salts provided, was the icing on the cake. I would recommend staying at the Inn at the Shore and hope to return to visit in the future.

We were looking for an oceanfront hotel that would be spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 teenage girls without breaking the bank. I came across this hotel and it far exceeded my expectations. We stayed in room 204 which is an oceanfront two bedroom suite. The price was right and it was very clean and had many extras. We also had an entire balcony to ourselves with a table and plenty of chairs. We will definitely be staying here again. The man at the front desk was very friendly and let us check in a little early too.
"Beautiful stay on the Prom"

Our family which includes my husband and our 2 dogs take a trip annually to the Oregon Coast. Till this point in our many trip we had never travelled north of Newport. For this trip we had decided to journey up to Seaside. We were told is was a great town with lots of charm to it, and the reviews didn't lie. We were looking for a hotel that was modestly priced and allowed dogs in the room. I stumbled upon the Inn at the Shore and began doing my research. I was quite impressed with their dog policy as well as their nightly room rates, location and amenities. We decided to book with the Inn because they were directly off of the ocean and the prom. I had booked us for 3 nights in the 1st floor oceanfront room. A week before our trip I rechecked our confirmation email and noticed I had only been booked for 2 nights and not the 3 we had originally dicussed. I promptly contacted the inn to make the modifications. Unfortunatly the room we were in the firs 2 nights was booked on the third. But, the receptionist was kind enough to book us in the last available dog friendly room (which unfortunately was on the 3rd floor) Because it was an oversight on their behalf they did everything they could to make the reservation right. They offered to give us the 3rd night free and even said that if we wanted to go somewhere they would move all of our luggage to the new room no problem. We stayed in room #1 the first 2 nights and it was perfect. It had a large hot tub/ shower combo, a kitchenette and sliding glass doors that lead out to the grass... prom... then ocean. In truth it didn't have the best views of the ocean because of the bluffs, but the views were still amazing especially for the price we were paying a night. On our last night we stayed in a large 2 queen room with a view of Tillamook head. There was no hot tub in this room but still great amenities and balcony. It was top notch in my book... because it was free. The Inn also offers free movie and game rentals (we didn't take advantage of) and also Cruiser bike rentals for free. We did use these a few times to get us back and forth from town to the hotel. All in all this was a lovely hotel to stay in and they had wonderful customer service. If you are looking for a great hotel, with an ocean view and an inexpensive nightly rate I highly recommend staying at the Inn at the Shore.
"Perfect quiet get away!"

If your looking for a quaint and quiet hotel this is it! We were greeting by Jane who was so sweet. Jane answered all my question! We rode in on our harley and she was so sweet to suggest we part in the managers spot. She left a nice note on bike which I really appreciated! They have fresh fruit and yummy taffy when you check in. We stayed on a ground level room with beach and ocean view right out our door! It's about a 3/4 mile walk to where the aquarium is and most of the people. This side of the beach is wonderful! The room has real creamer which was awesome. The bed is comfortable and the jacuzzi tub great! Jane suggested we try the u street pub, which was yummy! We had fish and chips with beer battered fries!!! So good! And the clam chowder was good too! This is just walking distance from the hotel with a market right next door! I would most definitely stay here again!! A big thumbs up!!
"Nice hotel, but long walk to downtown"
07/10/14 punkinpapa Vancouver, WA
Our room had modern decor and a well-designed interior. The hotel itself is close to the beach. Two complaints, one of which might actually be a plus for some visitors. The first complaint is that the thermostat didn't work, so the heater was always on. If we didn't leave the sliding glass door open, the room was uncomfortably hot. Second complaint is that the hotel is a 15-minute walk to downtown Seaside (i.e., Broadway Street). The hotel is on the promenade, so it is a pleasant walk, but we were in town for a volleyball tournament and had a lot of gear to transport. As a result, we would have preferred something closer to the center of things. On the plus side, if you are looking for a place at the quiet south end of Seaside, then the Inn at the Shore is a nice choice if they fix the thermostat.

We visited the Oregon Shores with my family without making any prior arrangement and book a room. After our visit there, we have distinguished the inn at the shore and the four winds "hotels". We picked the first one because the prices were lower and the distance to the "city center" wasn't that far. We got an oceanfront room for a great price in spite the fact that we only spent a night there. The receptionist was really welcoming and friendly. The room was enormously big and on the high end. Two restrooms and a giant sitting room. Nice view, even if Cannon Beach hotels offer a better one. Perfect for older people or for spending a relaxed weekend.
