Fabulous breakfast. The stairs to the 2nd floor (steep!) nearly killed us oldies. Traffic noise a little off-putting - we needed to close the windows in the wee hours to exclude traffic noise. But a comfortable room, a fantastic hostess in Rox, world-class breakfast, comfortable bed and a great location. Our bathroom was across the hallway, which meant midnight tip-toes. And a charming but less-than-practical claw-foot iron tub with a hand shower added to the oldie-world charm overall. Wonderful!

It was a wonderful bday getaway. We stayed in the Margaux room and it was a delight. Food we delish and the grounds are gorgeous, even for a wintry, January weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful and Jocelyn was sweet as can be. Only request was that the mattress for the bed be less squeaky and more firm. Can't have it all when you're away from home!

We came because some friends were having their wedding in Geyserville and we wanted to spend the nite, rather than driving home. The B and B is situated in a lovely, somewhat remote site. Room had a balcony overlooking grape vines and a field of lavender. The 3 course breakfast was delicious. Very glad we chose this B and B and would definitely return.

This charming Victorian B&B is located about 1 and 1/2 hours north of Napa and is a great location for exploring northern Sonoma county, Mendocino county and the Russian River wineries. The rooms are clean and comfortable with private baths. The 3 course breakfasts are outstanding and Roxanne is a fun and gracious hostess. We spent a wonderful week there and would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

This is a typical wine country old Victorian property. Most rooms are in an adjacent building. Clean. Decor extremely Victorian. No soundproofing. Air conditioning not built in. Wifi worked well. Nice common area and terrace with beautiful view of the valley. Breakfast is what it is. Very tasty but no choices. Much thought is put into the menu but I would prefer lighter fare. If you want wine country, this is it. Worth a stay.

Pluses were the food and the host. Negatives are: 1. Room was not advertised as having no bathroom. 2. Cramped room only allowed TV to the side of the bed next to the headboard. Was very awkward and uncomfortable.

Had to miss one of the 2 breakfasts. The one I had, creme brulee french toast was to die for. Roxanne, one of the owners is a lively woman and really engages the group so that everyone gets to know one another. She has excellent recommendations of wineries and restaurants in the area. Would recommend this property.

The B&B is located overlooking a vineyard, which is not part of the operation or property but it was okay to wander there. We stayed in a separate building that is a very old house with charm but, at least in our room, limited updating - our bathtub, for example, was very old and not at all appealing to use. The owners clearly try their best to make the feel of the house very traditional. Breakfast was huge and delicious. I thought the price was fair for high season summer weekend compared to some other places further south.

This is a wonderful inn with the best B&B breakfast I've ever seen. Nice innkeeper and friendly guests. Our within-the-main-house room was pretty teeny (probably typical of Victorian inns) but we loved the porches and expansive view of the vineyards. I would love to stay there again!

My husband had planned a romantic getaway in wine country. We picked Auberge on the Vineyard because our other B & B choices were already booked and the website pictures for this inn looked divine so we were all excited to get there until we arrived. The inn is musty, in serious need of some updating. When we opened the door to our room, the shades were drawn, it was small and dark. This B & B is on a secluded country road and for the three nights we were there, our sleep was interrupted by cars and trucks passing by throughout the night. We were up in the wine country for the purpose of biking and so left early each morning before the 9am call to breakfast. Although the innkeeper initially tried to be accommodating with regard to getting us some breakfast, she seemed frustrated that we didn't want to sit down to breakfast and on our last day as we checked out to get to the airport, she was actually rude - insulting us for not eating her breakfasts and then not even acknowledging our departure after my husband went back in to return the room key. Needless to say, more than a disappointing experience.

We so enjoyed our stay at Auberge on the Vineyard! We attended a wine club event during the day and were pleasantly surprised to return to this quaint bed and breakfast hotel nestled in trees at the far corner of an enormous vineyard. Roxanne welcomed us with homemade cookies and offered recommendations for dining and jazz, which were spot on. The turn-of-the-century hotel is filled with antiques, the bed was super comfortable and the three course breakfast was sumptuous. We will definitely return!

The B&B owner and staff were delightful and very helpful. The location is beautiful, right on the edge of a vineyard and in a quiet spot away from other hotels and tourist sites, yet only a 10-15 drive from popular towns, restaurants, and wineries. Enjoyed my leisurely stay very much!

We stayed in the 'Victorian House', which was like staying in a lovely family home. If you are looking for the Holiday Inn experience, then don't come here: leave it for people who appreciate traditional furniture and quirky old fittings. Even if it's old, everything works, and the three-course breakfasts are superb.

We stayed 2 nights and loved the beautiful Victorian House, patio and garden. I really did not want to leave and wish it was my own house! We had the Lorraine room which was sweetly decorated and the bed was so comfy (although a tad high but it was fun to climb into bed using the footstool provided). The room is by a small junction but after 10-11pm there weren't that many cars passing by so I had no problem sleeping. I also don't know why some would complain about the lack of an en-suite as the bathroom was only a tiny bit across the hallway and you can lock it up so it's like having a second room for yourself! Beautiful bathtub and a window seat with views of the vineyard. After our self check in, we grabbed some yummy rum cake which we can help ourselves to and a cold can of soda from the fridge, and sat on the patio with Bellehop the cat and totally relaxed until sunset. Breakfast was just WOW! 3 courses and beautifully presented and French inspired. The ladies were all very sweet and attentive. They also booked us a tour at a nearby vineyard called Bobdog Wines. Lovely couple taught us about wine tasting and we chatted for hours! I am recommending Auberge on the Vineyard to everyone I know!

This is a Victorian style B&B guesthouse, with vineyards on two sides of the property the other two sides are roadside on a Y junction. The traffic starts around 4am so hard to get a full nights sleep. Although just over a mile from town I didn't think it suitable to walk as there are no footpaths or lighting. Our room had an unusually high bed with old but clean linen, however it was comfortable, although it was disappointing to have to make up our bed after a day out. Our bathroom was private but not ensuite ( across the hall ) with old towels. The guesthouse had plenty of leaflets etc about the area however no one was ever about to offer up information. There is an ambiance to this guesthouse with a wrap round veranda and comfortable seating. Breakfast was very tasty served at 9am with no choice. We were so looking forward to this guesthouse but left a little disappointed.

"what a place, what an innkeeper"

This B&B far exceeded what we expected. For the past 3 years I was looking for a perfect escape where I could relax after a full day of wine tasting and still sip amongst the vines. This is the place. Far enough away from the city but still close enough to get what you needed. Very laid back place with an owner that is so colorful and accomodating. Roxanne is worth the price alone. Totally on top of everything and WOW what a cook! We stayed in the Montcharet suite with the "Tub". Check out the picture on her site. We had one of the most delicious breakfast's in lovely quiet garden setting. We will make this our "same time next year" destination for years to come. Our Doggies were so welcomed too. Thanks Again Roxanne. Ann and Dan

Upon arrival you are greeted with your weekend stay with your welcome package that includes your keys, winery passes, and a invitation letter to the property. All to make you feel right at home. This cute little place is tucked away from all the hustle and bustle that all of us deal with on a day to day basis. Each morning Roxanne and the staff make you these amazing breakfasts to die for. And that doesn't end. Not sure what to do her and her staff can give some hints on what is hot in the area. If you have never been to a B&B before or have and want to try something new this is the place to be. Had an amazing stay and will be back.

Absolutely loved this B&B! Beautiful setting, elegant room, great view, every need anticipated, and an amazing breakfast! Perfect distance from Santa Rosa, too, to get away and still be close to home. Had dinner in Healdsburg on our way up. Still made it in time to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the vineyard. Thank you!

"LOVED our stay here!!! - country charm, awesome food and people"
06/13/15 Texas_Phil Illinois
My wife and I just got done spending 4 nights here and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Echeveaux room which is on the second floor of the separate building. We really liked the room for its separate private balcony. We had an awesome view of the adjacent winery from our bed, which was a great way to wake up in the morning. Our room updstairs was one of 3 that is attached to a community living room and a beautiful deck that faces southwest and is an awesome place to watch the sunset. Our room was spacious and comfy with a small room air conditioner and a great ceiling fan..plenty of "white noise" for sleeping. There is a small amount of traffic that you can hear from the adjacent road, but the road is not well traveled, this resort is in the country. The buildings on the property are old, but this is country charm at its best. We commented several times on the quality of the fixtures/painting etc in a room that we know is pretty old...not easy to do. The owner Roxanne is a HOOT and her chief helper Ooba (spelling?) are a really great team. The breakfasts' are awesome. Breakfast is served at 9, so we would get up early and have coffee on our porch. Breakfast is served in several courses, so it takes some time which is great to meet and compare notes with the other guests. Roxanne makes sure everyone is happy and the meal meets your needs (vegetarian etc.). She always serves a "breakfast desert" which was AWESOME every time...made from scratch. They also have a "little something" prepared that they leave out in the common area of the main house in the afternoon..one day it was Rum Cake which was the BEST we have ever had...another day it was brownies. This property is located just east of the town of Cloverdale and is immediately next to a vineyard. Cloverdale is really cool up and coming small country town. There is TONS to do around here and we had a great time exploring everywhere from the close by mountainy area to the east all the way to the amazing coastline to the west (only about an hour away). Wineries are all over..no shortage of wine to drink. After breakfast, we would usually be leaving for the day around 11 and because of the awesome breakfast, we wouldnt be hungry until 4 or so when we would have an early dinner..this turned out to be a bonus to our budget! We would then have a snack in the evening as we watched the sunset back at the room. We hiked the Armstrong woods, canoed down the russian river, and visited and lunched on the coast. Dont miss a great trip up to the BobDog winery..everyone raves about it that has been there and now we do as well! Friday nights in Cloverdale is the Farmers Market with live music...dont miss this either! Great music, drinks, food and people.

"Come for the wine, stay for Roxanne's breakfast!"
06/10/15 Viki F Saint Charles, Missouri
We had never stayed in this part of Wine Country and completely enjoyed out stay. Roxanne is one of a kind and her breakfasts are beyond compare. If you go to the wineries she recommends and mention Roxanne's name, you get special treatment! We received an email a couple of days prior to arriving with details on where to check in (and how to get our key if no one was there). The check in packet had information on the room, wineries in the area and a book in the room had menus for area restaurants. The garden is filled with fresh herbs and veggies as well as lemon and grapefruit trees that Roxanne uses to create her phenomenal breakfasts. The inn kitty, Bellhop is a cutie and even came to get us for breakfast one morning and stopped by to see us when we were leaving.

GREAT B&B. Stayed in Hermitage room on second floor of main house. Nice size room especially for a b&b. King bed, very large bathroom with double sinks and a large walk-in shower. Everyone there super helpful with suggestions for dinner and places especially wineries to see. Offered to help hubby and I get luggage up stairs to our room. Only one other room on second floor and first nite we had the whole main house to ourselves. But by and away the best part is the three course breakfast served every morning at 9:00 a.m. in dining room, absolutely the best we have had any where. We stayed 2 nites and breakfast was different both days and totally YUMMY. A must if anywhere near Cloverdale Ca.

Loved sitting out on the porch, enjoying a glass of wine in the evening and looking out over the vineyard. Some of our crew took a lovely morning walk through the vineyards as well. Can't wait to return again! SP

My husband and I stayed at Auberge a few years ago and I meant to write something then, but after seeing a few negative comments on Trip Advisor, I felt I had to give a shout out to the Auberge. We stayed in the room at the top of the stairs. Was lovely and the room was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the vineyard with our good friends sipping a glass of wine. Was enchanting. The breakfast was delicious and was nice talking with the hosts who gave us a heads up on a wonderful vineyard up the road "Sky Pines". Next time we visit wine country a trip to Auberge is a must.

Beautiful B&B and fantastic staff. The owner is very helpful with a great sense of humor. We didn't know where to check in, but luckily one of the staff people was around. The view from our room was amazing. The only awful thing was that early in the we were awakened by a large truck traveling on the road that was right at our window.
