Our hotel stay was an enjoyable one but I suggest that you get some room service(food) in the future or build a restaurant in the lobby area.

It was nice. The only problems we had was with some young people making alot of noise outside our dr, which was no fault of the establishment.

I enjoyed my stay overnite. Did not liked the change of room for the reason of having no working phone iin that room. Breakfast hour should be at 10:00AM.
Location.
Situated in Port Aransas, Mariner Inn and Suites is on an island and close to Newport Dunes Golf Course, Port Aransas Beach, and IB Magee Beach Park. Also nearby is Horace Caldwell Pier.
Hotel Features.
This Port Aransas hotel offers a poolside bar and a bar/lounge. Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas and a computer station is located on site. Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, an arcade/game room, and gift shops/newsstands. Guest parking is complimentary. This is a smoke-free property. A total renovation of this property was completed in July 2010.

"good deal"
We go to the Sandfest each year. I think we got a good deal for our money. The staff was so nice and helpful. It's an older motel, but was clean, which is all I care about. Thanks for a good time.

"Not the best"
This place did the trick for one night but wouldn't recommend it for multi night stay. Beds were uncomfortable. It's on the outside of town so not close to anything. Well except for Sharkeys which is across the street. The front desk attendant was really nice & outgoing. I liked the breakfast because they had a waffle maker and they were good.
"The Mariner....Not far from the beach..."
Mariner was really quiet, kinda small though. Pictures made it look bigger than what it was. But overall it was a nice stay and I would refer to family and friends...
The service was great, and the desk clerk was super friendly, which is hard to find anywhere these days. Will defenitely stay there again.

There was to maid service the entire time we were there. We had to empty the trash ourselves.

Overall for the price I paid, it was a decent hotel. I didn't have maid service for the first two nights I was there, had to get my own towels. Then on the third day, I had maid service? Weird. Like I said, for the price I paid, it was good enough. The lady who checked me in, was really nice. But the older lady that was there when I checked out....well, […] let's just say I'm sure she wasn't having a nice day. "Very nice stay"
The room was large and clean. It's close to the beach and the outside is very nice. Check in was a breeze and the staff very friendly. We would stay there again!
"Port A hotel"
It's was not the best hotel but great location. When we first got there the room was like a very hot room. The front office could have been more friendly. We got there at midnight but we were told the front desk closes at 11 pm, but they let us check in.

"Weekend Getaway"
This hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway! It's nothing fancy but a nice little place with a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel offers a bar with pool and ping pong tables, which were really fun. My room was clean and the facilities were nice overall had a GREAT experience and hope to go back soon!
"POTENTIAL"
My stay was ok, but I had to defrost the refrigarator. and clean out the leftover food. The small coffee maker was very dirty, with a dead bug in it. The outside door threshold had a 1/4 inch gap under the door. All said, the price was cheap, and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast started late if your a fisherman. (It started at 8am)

Hotel room was fairly clean, the room had a strong deodorizer smell, they allow dogs so they may be spraying the carpet. It needed a little updating, esp.carpet, bedding and paint. Pink is not a very soothing color on the walls. Good location to beach. Staff was friendly.

For the price we paid this was definitely worth the stay. The inn was clean, nothing too fancy, but overall was nice. The staff were friendly and knid. The inn is conveniently located in port aransas. In a two minute drive you can be parked at the beach or in the middle of town at the local shops or restaurants. Nothing fancy but the game room (pool table and ping-pong) was a nice addition. Service at the bar was friendly. We forgot something in the room and they were very good about coordinating the return. Small TVs but that is the only nit I have.

I read the other reviews and I have to say our stay was very enjoyable! Yes, there are small signs of normal wear, but we slept well. Staff was helpful and polite. "Mariner Inn"
We saw very different reviews for the Mariner, but our stay was fine. The front desk was a little slow, but polite and friendly. The room was about what I expected for the price... Nothing fancy but livable. The kids loved the pool and it was close to the part of the beach we like. Overall it was a good stay and I would go back.
We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. The beach was great and only about five minutes away. We will be back!

The staff is very friendly. The room was cleaned as well as a beach hotel can be. The beds need to be replaced. The mattresses and box springs where very dirty. My check in time was 4pm, but I wasn't able to get into the room until about 5:15pm. Check out is at 11:00am. The room that I was in was small. The place is ok; we had a leak in our bathroom but they comped us and got it stopped right away, so it wasnt so bad. The floors were tile so that made it great for the beach, but we saw other floors which were carpet and they were very dated. Its good to sleep in but not to stay n have fun there was a Roach everytime I got out of the shower n the breakfest suck there was no cereal or milk for the kids but it was okay.

The location was great, but the pool was really small and the amblience was similar to one's own backyard. The bed was by far the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in even thought about sleeping on the floor at one point. The linens felt dirty as well. I was very dissapointed in my hotel stay. The place is very old,worn out in this place. The towel rack broke near the sink and the remote was also broken and of no use. The housekeeper only emptied one trashcan, did not fix bed or replace towels. My cell phone charger came missing. I was not happy with this hotel recommendaiton. Rate charged was way to high for condition and location of hotel. We were told it was on the beach when actually it was a couple of miles away by car. "Fire the MAID!!!!"
This would have been a decent hotel if the maid attempted to clean. There were dirty food containers in our room that we found at check in. Dirty wash rags in the shower. The sheets on the bed had not been cleaned. The towels hanging by the sink were folded and hanging but when you pulled them down, you could see that had not been washed. Great price, lots to do @ hotel, very nice family but did not have iron or blow dryer in rooms also the bed where not very comfy. But over all great hotel and going to stay next time we go to Port A.

Staff is very friendly. You can get to anywhere you want to go quickly. The pool is probably the best looking in town. Affordable prices.

The hotel itself was very nice for how old it was and it had good service. The wifi does not work in the rooms, you have to go to the lobby to use it. There is no insulation in the walls. We listened to our neighbors watching cartoons until 2:00 AM. Our other neighbor set their alarm for midnight and it continued to go off every fifteen minutes until […] 1:30 in the morning. Was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room, which was even a pet room. Was 1 of only 2 hotels that allowed pets in the area. The room was large. The hotel grounds were clean, including the pool. The front desk staff were extremely friendly & informative. Gave us suggestions of places to visit. My son and I took a quick get away and based on previous reviews we stayed at the Mariner Inn and Suites. We had a great time!!! Pool was clean and well maintained with restrooms available, room was clean, beds were comfortable and there was a bar in the lobby!! Staff were extremely friendly and eager. Will definitely be staying there again!!

The hotel was in decent enough shape, a little run down as was the furniture. The air conditioner in our room didn't work, we were told the Maintenance Person would work on it, but I don't think he did. I thought the hotel staff was top notch and the distance from the beach was perfect. The room was clean and very comfortable and will definately being staying again.

Everything went smoothly...completely effortless on our part...so I would say that the Inn was more than we expected. The owners are knowledgeable, friendly and easy-going. Breakfast included a good selection and the beer-bar/game room was cute.
Old motel without hot breakfast, but the staff was friendly, swimming pool was better than in many other hotels and the hotel is situated in short distance (by car) from the beach we liked.
