"Good Locaton, Good Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.
"Good food around the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
They were very friendly and close to everthing, walked all weekend, loved it
"The Best Hotel on Ocean Beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!
"Design savy with great service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

San Diego’s waterfront airport lies northwest of downtown, which is home to the San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadium, and the Gaslamp Quarter’s. That historic neighborhood’s restaurants and bars are the hub of the city’s nightlife. Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo form a green swath in this urban jungle. Offshore, Coronado Island offers postcard views of the city skyline.

We booked 4 nights at the Italian Inn B&B after reading the raving reviews, but didn't realize until we arrived that ownership and management had changed as of recently. We were first greeted by a locked front door with a sign hanging on the door with a phone number for us to call in case of an emergency. All we wanted to do was check in - not really […] an emergency, but we called the number and a fellow said that he would "be right over".. He arrived, gave us the key to the front door and a bedroom door, did a fast walk-through, pointed out our room and said, "Breakfast is at 9am". Then he disappeared only to be seen once more during our 4 night stay. Turns out that he is the manager and also works for his parents who own both properties - one is the Harborview Inn across the street and this one - the Italian B&B. We did learn that the owners rent out a room to a tenant who lives below the B&B since we smelled bacon cooking one evening about 11pm....stranger in our midst who spent the evenings in a 'closet' type office on the Internet. The door was marked - "employees only". We stayed in the FLORENCIA room which had a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom. Be forewarned that the B&B descriptions on various retail travel sites do NOT mention that for one room, there is no ensuite bathroom; it's down the hall located off the dining area. Not very convenient for unlucky folks who book that room. The Florencia had a small bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and small sink. The disgusting part of the bathroom was the ever-flowing tub spigot which never fully shut off; I tried, trust me. In the middle of the night you had to keep the door closed so you couldn't hear the constant drip, drip, drip. But wait -- that really wasn't the worst of trying to get a decent night's sleep. Just outside our window is a rooming house with multiple entries facing our window, so for two nights we were awakened and entertained from about 2-3am with laughing, talking groups of 20somethings Read more

"Charming B&B in Little Italy"
Cute B&B. Rooms were small but cozy. Location in Little Italy was great but made parking a nightmare. It is also located near the airport, so the frequent low flyovers by planes was a bit annoying. A delicious pecan dessert and beverages were available when we checked in...perfect after a long afternoon of traveling. The breakfast was excellent, and, […] like all B&Bs, meeting the other guests was enjoyable. Great location, wonderful staff, delicious food...I would certainly stay here again. Read more
"Makes The Italian Inn your home away from home!"
What a gem! This little inn is right in the heart of Little Italy where the best restaurants are there for your choosing. And innkeeper/chef Mary is there to make your stay as wonderful as possible. When there request her fabulous crepes for breadfast. And tell her Faith said "hi"

"The Italian B&B filled the bill"
It was a lovely room, but would not have worked out if we had stayed longer or wanted a romantic getaway. That's because this particular room, unlike the other three rooms does not have an attached bathroom. "Private bathroom" means only you have the key to the bathroom that's just down the hall, through the public spaces of the house. The room is also […] a little small, which, once again, we didn't mind, but some might. The dining area and the sitting room are both very comfortable and pretty. Save room for a nice dessert that night, and for a wonderful home-cooked breakfast in the morning. (Eggs benedict, a wonderful fruit salad, etc. in this case). You must be around at 9 am for this, and be able to allow at least 45 minutes. My husband left for a biking event at 7 am and so missed this. However, they were kind enough to make cereal and coffee available for him to serve himself. Mary, and the other guest, whom I met at breakfast, were all very nice. It was a very pleasant breakfast. Mary made it easy for my husband to store his bike around the side the house. Read more
"Perfect Getaway"
Beautiful little Italian bed and breakfast right in the heart of little Italy. Walking distance to everything downtown, 5 minutes from the Zoo, 10 minutes from SeaWorld. Amazing location. Yes, it's a little close to the airport but that doesn't really matter, not too close. The innkeeper, Mary, is a sweetheart. Very talkative, very cute and inviting. […] Her breakfasts are killer amazing. She was the executive chef at the Hilton and our breakfast proved that! So tremendous!! We will be returning. No complaints. Thanks!!!! Read more
"Wonderful location, wonderful B&B"
If you don't know about Little Italy in San Diego, you should discover it, using Mary's B&B here as a starting place. She is a great, inviting but not hovering host, as a working chef, the breakfasts were superb, as were her restaurant recommendations. The n eighborhood is delightful and very convenient to Old Town, the gas lamp, the Zoo, sea World, […] and all the san diego highlights. Don;t pass up an opportunity to stay here Read more

"God beliggenhed"
Ligger tæt på de ting, man må se i San Diego. Ligger tæt på mange gode spisesteder. God morgenmad der bliver serveret.
