The receptionists are exceptionally helpful. Our room was small; bathroom OK, good shower. Our room was on the street. That was no good: noisy tourists all through the night. Ask for a quiet room. Hotel location can't be better if you are a tourist.

This horrible hotel should be removed effective immediately from hotels.com list. Bruno who checked us to the hotel was nasty to us from the moment we checked in and through the following 7 nights we stayed (the other guys at the desk were all nice and helpful). Bruno first checked us to room 307 but the safe in this room did not work so we had to re-pack […] and moved to room 407, where the Wi-Fi did not work, so we packed again and moved to room 103, which is equivalent to staying in a dungeon/bunker with no fresh air, no windows and a fan that did not work much. The next day Bruno told me that the Wi-Fi was fixed in room 407 but he rented room 407 to other people and we need to wait until they check out at 12:00 noon. I have already wasted my first day moving 3 times, so we just left to see the city and stayed a 2nd night in room 103 where my wife developed allergic reaction, so in the morning I made it clear that they have to let us go to room 407 which had a functional safe and working Wi-Fi. The amenties of the hotel are at bottom of minimum. I never satyed in a hotel that when you turn the main switch all the lights, including the bathroom lights are turned off. In room 103 we could not see anything and if we wanted to go to the bathroom we had to turn the main switch which turns on/off all the lights, or take the chance to find our way to the bathroom in the dark. It is shameful that Hotels.com keeps this hotel on its list. Read more

I will not repeat the stay. The rooms are too small and basic services spotty or non-existing (A/C was a problem all the time and there is no TV in the rooms). I don't think there is any real value attached to such poor accomodations except for the superb location.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and available 24 hours a day. We stored our luggage from checkout time at 12 until 6 pm when we left for our flight. The location is great - only a 2 min walk from La Rambla. The room is very basic but clean and everything worked well. We borrowed the hair dryer and iron on several occasions. Hotel call is in excellent location, 4 minutes from Las Ramblas. When we arrived at Las Ramblas, we took the side road of KFC to reach the hotel which was complicated. The best way to reach the hotel is to take the lane by Bruno Quadros building or umbrella building and keep walking straight till you see hotel sign . The greatest challenge is in actually finding the hotel. It is located in a side street off of a side street in the pedestrian area of the Barri Gotico. It is within walking distance of the Plaza Catalunya, but we had a lot of luggage and so we hailed a cab to get us there. That was probably a mistake since the cabbie couldn't seem to find the hotel, […] and wandered around the area until he'd run up a charge of 15 euros. Best best is take the metro to LICEU and walk into the Barri up the street next to the building with the Chinoiserie all over it (off Las Ramblas). The hotel staff are very competent and mui simpatico. The room is very small, but everything works. Some noise may come through air shafts and paper thin walls, so bring ear plugs. But if you want to be centrally located in old Barcelona, and are an experienced traveler with realistic expectations, this is a fine choice for you. Read more

Great place in the middle of everything. Great friendly staff speaking english; 24 hour reception desk. Rooms have no external windows, but good lightning, very clean and no external noise either. For location this is perfect as you are right in the city and withing 50 meteres of La Ramblas and all the tourist attractions. From the Airport for simplicity just use the shuttle bust to Placa Cataluniya and walk down the Las Ramblas until yoou see KFC and turn left in to the Carrer de Ferrer and dell call is off this road. Never book the single room as this has internal window which looks into the lift bay and smells of grease and fuel. When me and my wife enter in the room for the first time, I notice that the covers of the pillows were dirt and with hair . I asked the staff and they only let in the room another two covers to the pillows- I have to change the covers ! wij hebben het hotel eigenlijk alleen gebruikt om te slapen en te douchen. Wij waren de hele dag op pad. Het is centraal gelegen. Het was netjes en hotel personeel is erg vriendelijk. La chambre est globalement propre (lit comme salle de bain). Très appréciable et visiblement rare à petit prix à Barcelone : une chambre individuelle avec salle de bain privative. Donc Très bien sur ce point. La localisation de l'hôtel est son gros point fort et est vraiment exceptionnelle. Les points un peu moins biens : pas de fenêtre dans la chambre […] (bien dommage) et les murs un peu fins (donc on entend ses voisins rentrer, voir discuter s'ils parlent un peu fort. J'ai eu de la chance et je n'ai pas trop été gêné par le bruit durant mon séjour, sauf le dernier soir où j'ai eu de nouveaux voisins. Donc ça dépend vraiment des voyageurs qui sont là !) Ha, et pensez à prendre votre gel douche : il n'est pas fourni ! Par contre, possibilité d'acheter des bouteilles d'eau fraiches à la réception, ce qui est vraiment pratique.
